I recently stayed at Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa with my family and we had a great time! 1) Book three 2 bedroom and One Single bedroom. a)Single bedroom in the first floor Need refurbished. Wadrobe n Cabinet a bit old. And as its in level 1, there’s alot of ants. b)The 2 bedroom we had in 3rd level B block are not bad. Great if some refurbished Be done but overall its a Great place with room for improvement. The rooms could use an uplift and fresh modern look, but they were still good enough for the price we paid. 2) The resort has a fantastic water park that was super fun for the kids considering its complementary.The lazy river was the highlight of our trip but it’s slippery on some sections and need staff to coordinate the timing of each person as not only me, even my family members n some others waterpark users was hit by next person sliding down the lazy river. 3) The seafood restaurant by the beach was also a standout. More on the expensive side considering there are quite a number of seafood restaurants around the area but the service are fast and the restaurant staff are superb. Overall, we had an awesome family vacation at The Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa and would definitely recommend it to others!

The hotel is clean, although the furniture is a bit old, it is still worth the stay. The property features a water park, which is a great addition. It’s very clean and suitable for families with children, as the pool is not very deep and the water slides are not too high, making it safe. Breakfast is also good. Overall, a nice place for a family getaway!

However, during the night, when there are fewer guests, the atmosphere becomes a bit quiet and eerie. It might just be my personal feeling, but perhaps the hotel could consider playing some background music in the hallways to make it feel less silent.

I was there with my husband and our three kids, and it truly felt like a one-stop holiday destination for our family. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and my kids had a wonderful time—they absolutely loved the place, especially the water park and the buggy service. My husband and I really enjoyed the wide variety of food options, and of course, the staff were friendly and welcoming. It's definitely a great place for a family getaway.

may be a place to hang the wet cloths at balcony those who are right after the pool.

It is very kid friendly. Lots of activities through the day suitable for families, like mini golf, bubbles, exercises etc. But the beach is quite obstructed, so we ended up not going to the beach at all as we were just stuck in the resort. Place is clean, food has lots of options. Love the zichar at the seafood restaurant and fruit juice towers. My kids also like the swimming pools.

The aviary has too many birds and the cockatoo has no companions. You can tell that the bird is very lonely. Also, not enough enrichment toys for the cockatoo. The lights should also be switched off at night so that the birds can rest. The constant orange light at the aviary can cause stress to the birds. The water park needs to be better maintained. The slide is dangerous for older kids as it has a steep incline and the heavier children hit the bottom very hard. My son complained about bum pain for two days.

Very convenient place to stay; with all outdoor and indoor activities under one roof (Eg: Jets ski, parasailing, band wagon, banana boat, etc) & pool, gaming room, gym etc. Breakfast with a variety of spread was fantastic. Staff are efficient in rendering assistance & information. Security guards made their rounds in ensuring safety and security. Retail store/ minimart has everything. Just a suggestion & do consider; brightly lit car park (along the road of car park) is a good & safe idea.

The Indian food at the resort was great. The rooms were spacious and I managed to get an upgrade to a 2 room suite the next day (be mindful of the cost, eg weekend vs weekday). The sea sport activities are affordable and there is a greater variety here as compared to the other resorts. The outdoor area was used to entertain children. But do not expect 5 star facilities here in the room, as it can be a bit jaded with old furniture and rustic bathrooms, but that is why this resort is among the cheaper ones at Desaru. This was not much of a problem for us as we only came back to the rooms to sleep and rest. It is a 5-7min drive to the fruit farm where you can consume fruits, juices ad coconut drink at the eatery outside the farm. KFC and other eateries are just a 5 minute drive away.

It is not fair to expect 5 star facilities for the low price we pay, read in the comments about poor breakfast variety ad taste, but that is being too picky. I found it decent. In any case, food outlets are a short drive away, as are the restaurants in the neighbouring resorts. Because of the sea activities and cheaper rooms, expect a huge crowd over the weekends.

Almost everything. perfect example of how a resort prepared to welcome holiday's crowd. everything are well handled, from the check in check out process, the room, the serenity of the surrounding, restaurants for dining, activities available - mini waterpark, water sports, games arcade, mini golf, little night carnivals, night zumba. most surprising is the breakfast, we were a bit worried bcoz of the big crowd, but a huge hall was provided with no issues of seating and food shortage - that mamak like set up at bfast counters for the drinks, roti canai and fried eggs was brilliant. Well done lotus resort.

The lift not working well. we have to take stairs for nos of times. the only hiccup though.

We loved this place. Had booked 3 bedroom apartment. Our room was very neat and clean. Everything that we needed was within the resort - splash play area (especially for younger kids), swimming pool, play area, retail shop for basic amenities, spa, mini golf for kids and adults etc. Buffet was reasonable. The beach was within walkable distance. There is big lawn for kids to play in the evening along with games, cars (ofcourse payable). They even have a short dance activity before closing at 10pm. The staff was very friendly & helpful - receptionist, security (Mr. Prahlad), buggy drivers (Mr. Ganesh, Mr. Kanan).

Strategic location. Beach access. Friendly staffs. Especially Ms Ben. She has a good communication skill & she assisted us in the funfair corner when the snooker ball got stucked. She was really helpful & friendly. Lot of activities & has 3 restaurants. We've tried all the 3 restaurants. Teratai for malay food, rhu seafood restaurant for chinese food. Oh yes, their small portion is like medium- sized can eat up to 4pax. Lotus spices for Indian food. Chicken briyani & tosai were too delicious and flavourful. I dont mind coming here again. On top of that, we've witnessed hornbill too! Great place for relaxation!

Breakfast spread needs more varities eventhough they've quite number of varities. Like pancakes, waffle & more on.

Air-conditioning is not services properly. . The one in bad tup room , paip bocor so the water licking on dressing table. . The one at living area motor rosak so swing doesn't work. Night Arobic . I stay there 4days 3nites. The dancer steps was ok for kids, for adults not suite. Hope train them more steps bcoz the music that Thursday nite 5/6 DJ Dass played awesome. Hope management understand what I'm trying to said. Snooker table . Is not flat is up and down one side.
