The hotel is a great place to stay in Ipoh. A lovely reception with some snacks and fresh fruits. The staff helped us choose the best massage for our sores and pains, and it was soooo relaxing and calming. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had all the amenities you could think of.

The area is very quiet, but there are no pavements around the hotel. We went for a walk to the city centre and had to walk on the side of a rather busy street. It's not the hotel's fault, but something to be aware of (especially if traveling with kids)

So much different from normal hotels that we used to stay. The Sojourn Spa Hotel should have included morning breakfast in the package, The room is neat and clean. Me and my wife strongly recommended the hotel.

Highly recommended! This hotel is sooooo good! 😍 The receptionist was also very friendly and had a great attitude. Thank you! The room is beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable! Although breakfast isn’t provided by the hotel, there are plenty of food options nearby—within walking distance. Right next to the hotel is Mama Kim Restaurant, where you can enjoy breakfast and dinner with a variety of noodle and rice dishes. On Level 1, there’s also a spa—and oh my God, the experience is truly amazing! Parking is available too, and I absolutely love it. So convenient and comfortable!

1. The Hotel smell like a spa. The body wash and shampoo given smell amazing. 2. The location is good because it is very near to the city. We book it because its the only available hotel for last minute during public holiday. 3. Easy check in and check out. Staff at the counter is polite 4. There is roof top place for hanging out and view at level 3 5. There is a Coway water machine and tea (I think) outside the room. 6. On the last day, we notice that after parking our car overnight, the car was covered in bird poo. Luckily, the staff was very helpful and help us clean our car.

I really had a wonderful stay at Sojourn Ipoh. No complaints at all. It absolutely met all my expectations! All staff we met from front desk to housekeeping to just anyone we came across in uniform were friendly and polite. The rooms are restful. My friend said there should be a white light option for applying makeup as warm light is not as good. Loved all the different spaces for just reading, having a cup of tea or just being quiet. Enjoyed the roof garden as well. We could not figure out the 2 remote controls in the room but it did not matter cos we preferred good conversation. When the front desk staff explained to us during check-out, we had a good laugh. We are happy not to have the TV on. Loved the spa on level 1 where we went every evening during our stay. Wonderful treatments and service. Will recommend. Ate one meal at Mama Kim's and it was delicious. Also the complimentary cookies and candy - yummy. Location-wise, we tried walking to town which we did once but realised Ipoh is not a walking city. We used GRAB most days and had a private driver for one day.

It was mostly perfect for me - and my friend agrees as well. However, as senior citizens we think it would be good to include some safety measures in the bathroom - like a single grab bar would make a difference - and also a safety strip to indicate the slight kerb at the entrance of the bathroom. A lot more retirees are travelling these days and this could be important to them as well.

Room was comfy.

There was no bar fridge inside the room. Parking was limited, though we did have a space to park. Location wise, it is too far to walk to the restaurants and shops. A car would be necessary.

Very clean room and bathroom, rainfall shower. Comfortable bed. Good aircon. Water provided in refillable glass bottles. No kettle, coffee or tea in the room, but there were 2 lounges on our floor with hot & cold water dispensers, teabags (no coffee) and armchairs. Very nice spa in the hotel - we enjoyed our massages and facials. Soothing lemongrass scent in the lobby & spa. Pleasant staff, especially Miss Iman - thank you. There’s a restaurant, Mama Kim’s, off the lobby that serves healthy/vegetarian meals. It was packed st dinner time.

Soundproofing could be better. I could hear other guests talking loudly as they walked past my room. Fortunately this only happened twice and it was not late at night. The hotel is not near the old town with its shops and eateries. However, this was a positive for me as I liked the peace and quiet of the residential neighbourhood it’s located in, and it was an oasis to return to. It was easy to get around by Grab.

Love love love the aesthetics, the hot ginger tea upon check in, the lovely lemongrass fragrance in the hotel, the room was absolutely lovely and we like that it is duplex so you can have some space if travelling with more than 2 people. My kids loved it. The rooftop garden is nice.

The receptionist didn't inform about the free neck and shoulder massage and nail trial, and that it can only be redeemed between 4-6pm and it was full by the time I found out. So that was not good. Location not too far from town if you drive but nothing much around it if you do not drive.

Booked 4 different rooms and love every single one of them. They were clean, huge and comfortable. On top of that the hotel staffs are very friendly and welcoming! They went extra mile to serve the guests; my child left her favorite cardigan in the hotel and we only found out when we left the country. The hotel staff found our missing item and assisted to courier it back to us. They even called the courier company to check on the status on our behalf. Thats top notch service! Thank you Sojourn Spa Hotel. Its a hotel i highly recommend for those who are visiting Ipoh!!

There is nothing that I can find fault in!

Staff were super welcoming upon check in and as other reviews have mentioned, the fragrance of the serai/lemongrass is amazing. The room was very comfortable with a great bed and was nicely decorated. Everything felt well put together and still new. Bathroom facilities were good. We also used the spa for a facial and a couples massage which was great.

Having a small breakfast option on site would have been nice but actually you have so much variety on your doorstep, you cannot complain. The coffee shop over the road- 7 warna kopitiam is too notch.
