Marie Claire is the lady of the house at this lovely private residence built 50 years ago turned into a French provincial hotel. She is a superb cook and the fare was excellent. I met her son and grandson and other family members while there. So welcoming they asked me to dine with them for dinner! The property is beautiful, with a rolling garden down to a large private lake. The nights (2) were quiet and comfy with a window open for cooler air. Bed was excellent (I am 6’3” and 215 pounds and have an achy back) but slept like a baby. The furnishings are beautiful French provincial pieces throughout. The location is less than 4 kilometers from the American cemetery at Oise-Aisne. A must see. My great uncle was an officer killed in WW1 in July 1918 in this area and is buried there. My visit was both emotional and peaceful at the beauty of what was once no man’s land. There is a medieval castle in the area I will see my next visit to Fere-en-Tardenois. Don’t miss this gem of an experience.

Nothing was off. The water pressure was like in the US and the house is immaculate.

Our host was lovely, welcomed us with a drink and snacks, we were so tired we joined her later and sat and chatted. Easy parking right outside so very secure. Wonderful place with parkland and a lake, so peaceful, lovely room with curtained bathroom and great breakfast with homemade jams etc. Off the beaten track in a small village so you really need a car, but easy reach of the main road.

A beautiful house on a beautiful huge garden, the house owner was extremely friendly and went out of her way to make us feel at home. the room was nice, large and comfortable and breakfast was very nice.

my only recommendation to the owner, is to improve WIFI reception in the rooms on the far end of the house and maybe add a bigger TV screen.

Room was lovely comfy bed, lovely gardens and property. Breakfast and hospitality was great

wasn't a dislike but we can't understand French and owner didn't speak any English so we used Google translate to talk etc. It's as much our fault as there's so we are going to make an effort to learn French and revisit next year.

I was looking for a calm and relaxing place to stay after a long and tiring journey and it was just that and so much more! This place is a little paradise, I loved everything: the magnificient estate with the lake, the house with its history and the owner, a wonderful, cheerful lady.

Everything very pretty room, spacious and very clean . Beautiful gardens with a lake. Marie-Claire very welcoming and fun . We loved breakfast with the other guests and apperatiff each evening . We will definitely return .

The owner is a wonderful, friendly lady. She personally prepares a breakfast in which nothing is missing. The house is situated in a large garden with many picnic areas. We were delighted with our stay.

The hotel was in a beautiful setting. Once we found the owner she was very welcoming and the hospitality was excellent. Aperitifs on arrival very unexpected but a lovely unusual gesture

When we Walked into the property there was no sign of anyone.. we called out but no response. Went back outside and rang the telephone number on the door no reply. Went back in and walked through to the garden and found 2 other visitors and eventually the owner arrived. Very pleasant lady but not the experience you require after a long journey

This place is far beyond all expectations. It is surrounded by untouched nature and has its own lake.  A place to feel extreamly relaxed. Marie-Clair the hostess is a loving lady, who takes every wish from her guests' lips.  The rooms are stylishly furnished and have a large bathroom.  The cleanliness is top notch. All up this place ticks all the boxes. We would love to stay there again.

Stunning location, extremely peaceful. Lovely charming host Marie-Claire and amazing breakfast in her lovely house . She couldn't have been more accommodating.
