Clean, staff were lovely, our favourite was Joyna. She greeted us a lovely smile and gave us a fantastic welcome tour. Awesome private location on a stunning black sand beach. Breakfast is awesome.

I would recommend booking day trips outside the hotel as we were less than impressed with the prices being significant more than the local prices.

Great hotel with nice bungalows, refreshing pool and good restaurant. The staff was super friendly and helpful! Other restaurants and bars are reachable within a 10 minute walk. We could also use the gym for free, drinking water is provided for free as well! All in all we had a great time!

We had initially planned to dive with the hotel's diveshop Sea Explorers but when comparing their prices to other diveshops in Dauin we were a little shocked - I am willing to pay a bit more for e.g. better equipment, but in my opinion these prices are just unreasonable, so we ended up diving with another divecenter.

This resort provides everything a guest needs for vocation and diving. The staff is super friendly and the environment is beautiful: bungalows, trees, lawn, and swimming pool. The fitness center and the restaurant are my favorite. The fitness center is spacious and has nearly all the equipments a professional gym offers. The restaurant offers both delicious Philippine and international cuisines at reasonable price. A review cannot be complete without mentioning the sea explorers, a PADI five star diving center located inside the resort. Many thanks to dive master Damron for his patient and professional instructions. Attending the scuba diving course at sea explorers is an unforgotten experience for me.

The restaurant is open so I have got many mosquito (or some insects like that) bites at the first night when I wear shorts. I have to wear trousers and shirt thereafter to protect me from the bites. The resort should give warnings to the guests upon their check-in. I have got this kind of warning at Nacpan Beach resort. Next, there are gaps in the window edges of the bungalow so I have to dim the room at night so that insects won’t try to fly into the room. My first night is ruined by a mosquito and I have to ask for the mosquito net to be put up in the room and I am not harassed by mosquitoes in the following nights.

The hotel was the perfect place to relax and enjoy. The environment was cozy and the staff was very helpful and welcoming. The SPA was perfect, the bar was a joy and the beach was great. A lovely place to spend vacations. The breakfast was fine, with basic standard breakfast options plus some international options that vary each day. Overall was a great hotel to stay at, and if we ever go back to Dauin, we will definitely repeat.

The only downside was the overpriced restaurant considering the quality of the food, the food was just OK but tasted like cheap tourist restaurant food, so we had a first meal there and then we went to the local places to have our meals for the rest of the stay, which were not many good ones around but there was enough for the time we spent. The breakfast was fine, with basic standard breakfast options plus some international options that vary each day (I have to add, that one day they said they had Spanish breakfast that got me excited, but it was actually a Spanish/Mexican lunch). Besides that, the restaurant staff was also adorable.

Pura Vida Beach Resort is located directly on a clean quiet beach. We stayed in a very nicely decorated rustic bamboo bungalow with a large well furnished front porch and it was located in a large beautifuly landscaped garden. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and there was also unlimited free water, coffee and tea in your room. Breakfast is a nice buffet with a different local touch for each day and there is good and fast Wi-Fi reception in the whole resort area. If you walk 10 minutes along the beach there is a beautiful coral garden right next to the shore so you can enjoy unlimited snorkeling without having to rent a boat every day. Yes the restaurant prices are on the higher end but the local market and quite a few restaurants along the main road are also in walking distance.

Absolutely nothing.

Me and my husband loved everything about it. The staff were amazing. All the people in the restaurant , bar, reception and housekeeping- ALL OF THEM were just amazing and kind people. They were genuine. For a hotel in Negros Oriental, there is no fault anywhere at all in this place. From the moment we arrived , the team were magnificent. The view, the teepee huts , the food.. Everything is 5 star. I work in a hotel in SG too, and I wish we have people like them. We love how the rooms really shouts PHILIPPINES with the decor of the rooms. It could be a nightmare to maintain these kind of rooms, but they did great! Comfortable and clean. The pool was in greatshape too! Even the bermuda grass! Hahaha Plus, they have a band playing during Saturdays! So even if you are not staying, you can enjoy here! The musicians were amazing! Very talented and engaging! They really made my mums birthday memorable. Will definitely be back here if we go to Dauin.

I didn't like the Billiards table not being level. 🤣🤣 When we tried to play billiards, the balls kept going to the right. 🤣

Pura Vida is a beautiful place with an immaculate garden, two nice swimming pools, two bars and a restaurant. The staff Rain, Dario and others are very friendly and helpful.

The wifi in our house was down and couple of days which nobody could explain. The breakfast has a different country theme every day, and is very meat heavy, at least the three mornings we were there. So a bit more fruit, veg, and yogurt to choose from would be great for those of us who don’t eat meat. Information is quite sparse and when we asked about tours, or how to get somewhere with public transport they didn’t have much to share. The trikes they order are a lot more expensive than others, which often happens at hotels, but they could be more clear on what the difference is, or offer reasonable deals.

Beautiful location with a big garden. Nice swimming pool and beach. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are specious and comfortable, no mosquitos!

The food and especially all beverages are completely overpriced. A bottle of San Miguel light for more than 150 Pesos, a Mango shake for 280 Peso is crazy. Might be the reason why only a few people took dinner in the hotel. There are a lot other cheaper restaurants in walking distance.

I love everything of this resort that i stayed for more than a week. Perfect place to relax. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Fresh brewed coffee, juices and fresh fruit. Every day they have a theme of their bfast. Staff are so friendly. Rooms are well maintained and clean. Love the landscape/garden, perfect beach to swim. Its black sand but few meters from it you can do snorkeling. You will see stingray, turtles, beautiful corals and colorful fishes. Diving recommended. I did my basic diving course and friendly diving instructor. They have happy hours too and good cocktails. Sufficient variety of their menus. Good gym as i come to this place everyday.

Resort should arrange a free service to the city centre on a regular basis.

+Very good ambiance. +It’s peaceful and quiet despite having many other guests. +I love the pool and its cleanliness, and it’s very child-friendly +The staff were friendly too +The rooms are very spacious and clean.

-We have a suite for our accommodation located at the second floor and the wooden floors are super squeakkkky! We have a baby with us and the floor just keeps him awake coz it’s just super noisy everytime we walk even on tiptoes. -So much flies flying around the restaurant but not anywhere else. -Our baby got so many insect bites, probably from the bed.
