Did not opt for breakfast. The room was most comfortable ,well equipped with everything you could have hoped for eg microwave, tv, fridge etc. The hosts made you feel special with rusks at the coffee/tea station, and even a chocolate with the clean towels making you feel at home. Parking is secure and safe, and Egbert's hospitality and friendly advice makes this guest house very special. Its the perfect lay-over before you attempt the Gauteng and Jo-burg high hiways and byways with the hectic traffic Highly recommended.

Thank you to owners Egbert and Sukie for an exceptional overnight. Everything was perfect. The entire property is secure and immaculate. The units are well furnished and sparkling clean. Beryl1 Guesthouse definitely ticks all the boxes for a very comfortable stay. We can highly recommend and will return when in Klerksdorp again.

We left the premises around pass 8 to get something at town the host called to check if we have left already bcoz they want to clean the room I told him the checkout time is 10am we are going to leave even before that time. I felt he could have waited until our checkout time to see if we will still be there or not

The facilities were really good. Small things like a water filter on the tap, big coffee mugs (most guesthouses have tiny cups), a nice selection of channels on Dstv, including movie channels. Milk in the fridge for coffee, not cremona (which I don't like). I was moving to the Eastern Cape and I needed a place where I could stay the night with my cats, they are pet friendly.

I found the passing traffic distracting, however, I'm used to living in the Bush so it's quiet there.

Beryl1 Guesthouse is a very beautiful guesthouse, featuring a beautiful garden and safe parking. The room was decorated nicley and equipped with a table, chair, TV, air con, small kitchenette. The kitchen includes a bar fridge, microwave, washing-up basin (with a water filter for clean drinking water) and cutlery. The bed is definitely the best. The owners are very hospitable, friendly, helpful and respectful.

The owner Egbert is very friendly and welcoming, great to converse with. The bedrooms are neat and cosy, free wifi and desk to get some work done. No loadshedding!

Unfortunately we do live in South Africa and I feel the entrance doors to the rooms should be equipped with a burglar gate for safety.

the owner met me at the gate , gave me the full rundown of the place. Did not feel the effects of loadshedding as the facility has a generator, which ran so quiet one could not hear it. The owner updates all via whatsapp on the loadshedding schedule and all relevant information is shared accordingly

Egbert and his wife gave us such a lovely welcome. The location is perfect. There’s backup power during load shedding. The premises are well secured. The rooms are immaculate and super clean. We wish we could have stayed longer!
