Nice, private room that’s a good price and near the main Oita station. The lounge area is a little small with limited seating, but there’s a free drink machine and the rooms come with a desk and computer. The room doors didn’t lock, which I personally didn’t mind and there are cameras at the end of the hallways. Going to the bathroom to simply wash your hands may feel like a bit of a trek if you’re staying at the opposite end of the dormitory. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay.

It’s main benefits were the location near the station and the free coffee. The couple who run it seemed pleasant enough too.

I would not recommend staying here if you value sleep. The walls are about 1cm thick, the whole upper part is just a curtain. You can hear your neighbours snoring all night (which is what I had) and the walls vibrate if anyone walks past. Theres a really strange smell throughout the property - like sweet and odd. I didn’t feel very safe either - there is just a curtain separating the men and womens rooms, and there are no locks on the doors. Overall there’s something seedy about this place too.
