Husband and I stayed in a room with a private bathroom. It was a tight fit with two people but fine for two nights and very clean. Loved the overall atmosphere of the bar and kitchen area. I like being able to make my own breakfast and snacks at my leisure. Plenty of spaces to hang out with people or relax outside of your room separately. The gear storage room was great as well.

I didn’t use the hot tub bc it had scum marks rimmed around the sides. Given how many people are there, I wonder how frequently they test and treat or change the water. Also, plugs by the bed would be nice instead of having to charge our items on the floor where the plug was. PARKING is a bit of a problem. Keep your car in the lot once you find a spot or you’ll have to walk about 10 min to their overflow lot. Just be prepared to do that because chances are, you’ll have to.

The place had a good causal hangout vibe. As a solo traveler I felt comfortable and safe. I liked all the sitting areas inside and outside. The property is along the Blue River and right on the bike path. I’ll definitely go back!

I shared a room in a female-only dorm style room. Some of the guests were rude by turning on lights and being noisy after I was in bed and trying to fall asleep (after 10pm). There are signs up about these policies and I don’t blame the property for this. It’s just an inconvenience for that specific type of accommodation. One of the hotel staff, at the front desk, used the bathroom at the same time as me and didn’t wash her hands when she was done. That was bothersome. Especially after this, I saw her make coffee in the carafe that everyone gets their coffee from.

The location was close to Breckenridge. Parking was very tough but the front desk made an exception due to high capacity and snow storm. The front desk lady with the glasses who starts her shift at 9 or 10 pm made my stay worthile. She was very accomodating and welcoming, and was very concerned when we checked in during the storm. Dwayne, the bartender, was a great guy and gave me some advice on traveling to colorado springs. The staff was very helpful

The bathroom sink was quite small and the mattress were very uncomfortable. Parking was always full

The atmosphere, the mattresses, the kitchen, the staff everything was amazing! They have group events each night you can join in on it you can just go to bed. They have a hot tub everything is pretty awesome

The toilet paper. They use the cheapest toilet paper. That’s not cool that’s not a hotel thing to do. No one should use that John Wayne toilet paper. It actually takes about 5 times as much as regular toilet paper so I’m thinking you don’t actually have any cost saving there. Just in happy rumps!

There was lots of free coffee with loads of choice of creamers and milks! Didn't see any food options but wasn't expecting any. Also, kitchen was well stocked and very clean with all the necessary utensils/appliances and more. Amazing bar, very friendly and helpful staff, super fast wifi and great working spaces, lovely hot tub on the balcony and wonderful yoga class on saturday morning with free coffee and kombucha/prosecco - definitely worth it to start off a peaceful weekend. The reception gave us recommendations for hikes/nearby facilities and were super helpful when we wanted to change room for the second night.

Bear in mind that most of the small double rooms are without windows, but we were able to switch on the second night for one with windows and honestly the lighting in the windowless room was very cosy so not a huge problem, and the common areas are very nice and open. Pillows are very thick (beware!)

A great hostel! The rooms are comfortable and clean, bathrooms are also clean and modern. The bar is a great spot to meet other travellers or even some locals with multiple other areas to sit and relax if you're not feeling as social. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of snowboarding! The bus stop is within walking distance and will take you to the ski resorts, too. I had a slight mishap with my check in but that was rectified and I can safely say I would recommend The Pad and will definitely stay next time I visit.

The Bunk bed shelf had fallen out and not installed. I asked for it to be repaired but 8 nights later still not repaired.

Dogs. Went to eat my Dinner and some lunatic thought it was acceptable for his dog to sit in the chair at the table where people eat and drink so I chose to sit looking out a window at a barstool counter rather than make a scene.

For a hostel, one of the best I've been to

Price. Understanding that the area is always going to be expensive, but it's still a hostel and it's off-season. But it still cost me about $40 if I recall correctly. That's quite a bit to pay to share a room with other people in the off-season. But that's Colorado for you. USA, even. It's all relative

Amazing staff, front desk, bar and housekeeping were all amazing to deal with and friendly. People there are generally great and easy to talk to, loved having conversations and getting to know people! Tona of activities, usually something happening on most nights to get to know people :)

Price was better than most other hotels nearby. The bathrooms and showers were clean and not crowded. The bar was a good place to hang out.

Hot tub was too small for the hotel and often over crowded. Parking was not enough for the hotel size and was difficult to find a spot. Doors from other rooms were very loud when closing and annoying when trying to sleep
