The main thing I look for in a hotel is a good night's sleep, and the Glenbeigh delivered that, with much less noise than is often the case. Our bedroom was at the rear of the hotel (though not all are - maybe worth specifying that when booking), with a lovely view over extensive gardens. These are really nice to sit in of an evening (if dry), and lend the whole place a classy feel. It's a nice area to be in, especially the astonishing Rossbeigh sand spit just down the road, which is a great walk.
I expected a restaurant, but basically it's pub bar food - and the bar seems to be really busy every night of the week. When we arrived (on a Sunday night) we were originally told they couldn't reserve us a table as they were so busy. I said I didn't think that was right given that we were staying there, and then they changed their mind.

The Glenbeigh Hotel is a perfect place to stay whist touring the Dingle peninsula and Ring of Kerry. It's a very old building, full of character and charm with well cared for gardens wrapping around the rear of the hotel. Our room was a little tired and in need of updating but this did not take away from the comfort of our stay. We had a very large comfortable bed and found our room to be cleaned everyday on our return to the hotel. What is outstanding about The Glenbeigh is the high level of hospitality from the team who run the place. Food and service in the bar are outstanding - delicious chowder, fish & chips, mussels and more. It gets busy for lunch and dinner so booking a table in advance is recommended. Breakfast was tasty and cooked to order. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The location is great for touring the popular sites in Kerry. The Glenbeigh Hotel is a listed building so they can’t make certain improvements. The staff are excellent. We dined there the three evenings and we weren’t disappointed. Depending what you wanted for breakfast whether large or small there is plenty to choose from.
Very limited places to park in Glenbeigh. We wanted to try a different pub but couldn’t get parking and walking wasn’t possible for one in our group. The bedroom carpet in the room we stayed in should be changed, it’s badly worn and looks dirty.

A really lovely place to stay as ever. The room was beautiful, we were given an upgrade at no extra cost which was very generous. The food is excellent in the restaurant bar and the atmosphere lovely and friendly, an early holiday vibe and a great musician playing piano, live music is best. Great breakfast next day and relaxed atmosphere, staff very friendly and helpful made us feel very welcome, no panic at all and the family run hotel rises high above the corporate chains by miles. We love the homely welcome at the Glenbeigh Hotel and will be back.
All good

We only stayed for an overnight stay while traveling around the country. The gentleman at the desk ( i wish i knew his name) was so kind. We had to leave very early the next morning to catch a boat excursion an hour away and we weren’t able to stay for the free breakfast. He was so nice and had a lunch bagged up for us to take in the morning with a nice note. We were so grateful for that. The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a nice beach nearby that we enjoyed a beautiful sunset walk

Great breakfast in a the lovely garden room. Impressive the way the bar man managed the extremely busy bar and checked me in, as reception was closed by the time I arrived. Shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries - many places don't have these basics. Lots of plug sockets, very convenient.
Old style square shower could be updated, so there's more room to manoeuvre. Bar area was extremely busy, but I guess that's because it's so lovely and the food so good.

The service was 5*, the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding, came out quickly, piping hot and delicious. Our room had a view of the beautiful gardens and was quiet and peaceful, we couldn't hear the buzzing pub below. Room was clean and comfortable.
Room is a little out dated and could use a bit of modernisation, but it has a old school charm. A little over priced, but I guess that's what you pay for the location.

It was a perfect Irish atmosphere experience. The house was built in 1792 (if I remember correctly), so that was something special itself. Our family room was really huge. The Irish breakfast was very good. In fact, you choose your breakfast from the menu, but it’s not limited to just one thing. And the dining room itself, like any other in the hotel, it’s a special experience. There’s a huge nicely decorated garden.
As it is an old building, there are some problems that come with that. The soundproofing is not perfect. We were located just above the pub and the first night we had some problems sleeping because of the music and the noise. So the next day we also went to a pub and the problem was solved :) It also takes some work to figure out how the hot water is working in the bathroom. Bit nothing ruined our pleasant experience.

Simple hotel that gets the job done and understands hospitality. Simple car park with easy access to hotel. Great reception. Friendly, helpful staff. Simple mechanical door key that worked first time, every time. Great bar with great food and drink and evidence of the 'Craic'! Their fish chowder and fish and chips were both amazing. Breakfast was also amazing. I'm pretty sure that this hotel will be my absolute favourite on my Wild Atlantic Way tour.
Could do with a few more wooden benches outside, to enjoy the sunshine. The two beds pushed together were slightly lumpy in the middle but I still had a great night of sleep.

Old world and quaint classic. Small friendly family run hotel. Attention to detail was excellent from the fresh flowers on every table each morning from the hotel garden to the suburb decor, which, while somewhat modernizing the hotel has in no way taken from the old style plush hotel. Food was amazing also, both breakfast and dinner!
If you’re looking for bright, modern high tech hotel, don’t book the Glenbeigh, but if you are looking for sheer class go right ahead. Not too many charging sockets and beds / chairs a little creeky. It’s old but spotless. Get over it!
