Spa and welness facilities of this hotel is definitely a highlight: very clean, well-maintained, the water in the pool is warm enough for comfortable swimming and staying in the water. Breakfast variety was really good and the food was delicious. Many people weren't satisfied with the quality of the Wi-Fi connection but for me it worked fine, both for video calls and watching youtube. There's also big parking with enough space, I haven't used it but it exists and looked good. I would definitely book again next time I'm in Harz.

The only minor thing I would appreciate having would be a kettle and some coffee/tea bags in the room.

We stayed one night at the Boutiquehotel SchloßPalais and we throughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was beautiful set up and the food was fresh and very well presented. The rooms were very well presented with good quality linen and bathroom accessories. The pool and spa areas were clean, well maintained and very nice way to relax after driving a few hours. Idea position explore the town and get use public transport.

I think the only thing was maybe the room we had was a little crowded with furniture, may be one less item of furniture for the size of the room we booked.

I was completely charmed by this lovely little hotel. Our room was comfortable but we were fortunate to have good weather during our stay and I spent hours reading on the deck enjoying the view and the birds. The indoor pool is lovely and the breakfast which is served at the table was very nice. Parking is good and it is a short walk to the town square with its many restaurants and shops. The air conditioning worked! If I lived closer I would definitely make this a get away hotel.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Most spoke good English which helped us poor German speakers. Our room was spotlessly clean and full of character. It had a great view of the castle and a lovely balcony. Breakfast was really good quality, it was served to the table in a classically decorated dining room. i.e. not a buffet. The hotel is only a short walk into town an ideal location for walking in the countryside. Overall an exceptional hotel in our view.

Our lovely room had beautiful view of the castle and a church, which provided sweet sounding bells that announced the time. The swimming pool was awesome! Breakfast was extensive, offering lots of choices in addition to a typical German breakfast of rolls, cheese and meats. The staff was lovely-welcoming and patient. The location was fantastic--quiet, but right on the edge of the beautiful old town, which is full of great restaurants and shops. The onsite parking made coming and going very easy. And the Harz Mountains are a very special part of the world, with great hiking options and beautiful neighboring towns such as Goslar and Quedlinburg.

Our bed was a bit uncomfortable.

The wellness facilities (sauna, steam room, pool) were top notch! I also really liked that my room had a private balcony. The location was also very convenient.

The only thing that kept this overall rating at a "Good" rather than "Excellent" was the Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi reception was not so good, it kept losing connection after which I would have to login again. Rather frustrating, but the only downside to an otherwise excellent stay.

Central location with a lovely view of the castle. The staff were professional and polite. Swimming pool was a bonus and so was the steam room and sauna.

No tea and coffee facilities in the room and asking for tea and coffee was charged as an extra.

The stay was great overall. The personnel were very helpful and informative and the whole atmosphere very quiet and cared for. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and everything worked perfectly, also the hot water. We also had a terrace and the room was located very near the elevator and the dinning room, but we didn't hear any noises. Breakfast was abundant and had many options. We really appreciated that it was not a buffet but you could order what you wanted to eat from their menu so there is less food waste and everything we ate was freshly prepared. The pool and saunas were very clean and tidy. There is a wet Turkish sauna and a dry Finnish sauna (outdoors) with enough capacity. The circuit was easy to follow and even if it is small is enough for a relaxing day. Also, we could use the installations as much as we wanted giving notice to the receptionist.

Overall is in a good location, but close to a main road. Our room had a terrace that had a great view to the castle and old houses of the city, but was just in front of the parking lot which can disrupt the atmosphere and from there the sounds of the cars can also be heard. Nevertheless, the rooms are well isolated and inside was totally quiet.

Super friendly staff, attentive and thorough! We had an issue before arriving that the hotel employee solved in a professional manner. The location of the hotel is ideal, easy parking, and a lovely view of the castle from our room. The breakfast is really great, not the typical hotel buffet. One can order eggs and fruit salad to be made fresh. The atmosphere in the rooms and breakfast area was really inviting and stylish. We can't recommend this place enough!

Breakfast was great. The wellness area is great. Room was clean and WiFi was fast. The property has a nice aesthetic.
