We really liked the Hotel Zum Baer in the heart of beautiful Quedlinburg. Our room faced the market square, giving us a splendid view of this architectural gem. The room had a nice atmosphere, with two armchairs, a small coffee table, a desk and a king-size bed. Lighting was good. We slept really well, helped by the fact that evening temperatures were moderate and cooled down the city; there was no A/C in the room. The bathroom was small yet very functional; good water pressure. Parking behind the hotel was very convenient and affordable. Breakfast offered ample choice of hot and cold dishes; we enjoyed sitting outside on the market square and people-watch during breakfast. Lastly, staff were very, very nice in all their different functions (at the reception, at breakfast and the chamber maid). In short, we would highly recommend the hotel.

Wifi did not work properly throughout our stay. A coffee machine would have been nice, or maybe a coffee station for hotel guests in the lobby.

It was right in the centre, overlooking the main square. It wasn't at all noisy in the square and everywhere in the town was only a few minutes walk away. It is a beautiful hotel.

There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and the hotel wouldn't supply us with a kettle when we asked. There is no air-conditioning, which was not a problem whilst we were there but might be difficult in really hot weather.

Friendly hotel on the main square in an original historic building. An amazing range of options for breakfast. On site parking made accessing the hotel very easy. The staff were very helpful, for example I made two separate reservations on successive days - unfortunately in different rooms. Despite the booking, the staff arranged for me to have the same room on both nights at the booked price.

That I found I could not book the same room for a second night when updating my booking - however the staff were amazing in solving that problem.

Amazing location right in the main square, nice restaurant - the breakfast buffet was great and I had an amazing schnitzel, friendly staff and dog-friendly (our dog had a great time and the staff were so nice with him - they even gave us dog bowls and a blanket to use during our stay)

We stayed in one of the rooms that was dog-friendly and room smelled like dog upon arrival - but I guess that’s how it is when you stay in the dog-friendly room, it didn’t bother us too much.

Lovely old hotel with comfortable rooms. Parking was available next to the hotel, and was easy to find with the instructions given. The location is perfect in the centre of town, but the rooms were quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent.

Disappointed that the restaurant and bar was closed - we should have been told about this before our arrival. WiFi was a bit intermittent.

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and good quality. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. The rooms overlooked the square and were nicely furnished. Overall it was a lovely central location for visiting the town. Parking was behind the hotel , this was secure and easy to find.

It is a lovely place in the city center, very friendly staff, a good restaurant and good breakfast buffet. It has a very cozy and familiar atmosphere in an old style building which makes a great feeling of comfort, small fridge in the room with different beverages, one free bottle of sprinkling water every day and a safe.

There was no air conditioning in the room, and with outer temperatures over 30°C it was a little bit uncomfortable. There was a fan in the room which really helps, but other than that I have no complaints.

Lovely hotel in the centre of the town. The hotel has its own courtyard offering parking. Some of the rooms are in a separate building in the courtyard, offering tranquility. The hotel is around 20 minutes walk from the railway station and main bus station. The buffet breakfast offers a wide choice of food including some hot food.

I liked just about everything. The hotel was ideally situated; the breakfast was comprehensive and, like the evening dinner, superb; the single room was well furnished with an excellent bathroom. What helped make the experience so enjoyable were the little touches in the rooms and on the terrace - the care lavished throughout the hotel. But most of all the quality of the management, staff and service from the moment of check in to departure; warm, helpful and efficient - you had the feeling that everyone took pleasure and pride in looking after you. A terrific stay.

It's perfectly located in the center of town, the breakfast was lovely and the room was super big and comfortable.

Quedlinburg is visited mostly by German tourists, so many establishments don't speak English. Luckily I know basic German and we could get by, but I would have been completely lost if I didn't. Most people don't speak English and when they do, it's a very very basic one at that.
