This was a good place to stay while in Lerwick, close to the harbour but out of the main cruise-ship busyness. Easy parking for cars and easy walking distance to everything in the commercial centre and harbour of Lerwick. The triple room was spacious and although perhaps a little tired in decor, it was comfortable for our 3-night stay. Breakfast was plentiful with the cooked offerings (especially the kippers or smoked haddock) delicious. The breakfast room becomes a Thai restaurant at night and if staying here, it is a must to try. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Lerwick with cruise ships becomes frantically busy with small restaurants overcrowded. This Thai restaurant was a great choice for space, quietness and excellent food.

The front of house staff were a little vague when checking in and not always attentive. However, nothing went wrong during our trip and it was a small thing overall.

The hotel is quite close to Lerwick center. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel are beautiful cliffs as well as a lovely walking path. Since I rented a bicycle (probably the best way to explore the island, weather permitting), I had a nice place to park it in the hotel's back courtyard. The room was small but very tidy, and I had coffee, tea, and a kettle (though perhaps a spoon was missing). The bathroom was well-equipped and functional. I saw that other guests complained about water pressure and bedding, but I didn't experience these problems. The internet worked well too. The breakfast was really varied and delicious. Overall, a pleasant stay with good facilities and a perfect location for exploring the area.

The sound insulation isn't the best. During the night, I could hear the guest in the neighboring room waking up, getting up, and coughing for hours. I'm not a light sleeper, so this wasn't a major problem for me, but if you think something like this could disturb your sleep, bring earplugs.

The rooms were very clean & comfortable. Overall the staff was very helpful. The location to the centre is ten minutes on foot. The breakfast room which is also the Thai restaurant is bright & cheerful. The breakfast was probably the best I had on the Shetland Islands. Appreciated the fresh fruit, strawberries & melon. Cooked breakfast was extremely delicious & of high quality.

The foreign staff were not as welcoming or helpful but I think it was more a cultural/communication barrier. The lounge room on the left needs to be cleaned. It has been neglected for a while. The first floor landing has a tree whose leaves have fallen & dried up on the floor. Also neglected & needs to be cleaned.

Superb breakfast with an excellent selection of both cooked breakfast, fresh local fish, and lots of fresh fruit, some cereals, yoghurt and croissants/scones Service was very friendly and attentive and the staff were extremely helpful, warm and welcoming. There were communal sitting rooms to relax which were ideal for our group attending the Shetland Wool Week and the staff provided plates and cutlery and made the dining room available if we wanted takeout meals as they don’t serve evening meals in the B&B

The water pressure on the top floor was erratic during ‘peak showering’ time and the beds needed updating as mattresses and frames were rather tired

The staff was friendly and responsive. The location was great in relation to the town. The free parking was helpful. The free breakfast was amazing. We had expected cold food options and instead had prepared to order options. An added benefit was the full Thai restaurant on site for dinner. In a town that regularly requires dinner reservations, this Thai restaurant does not. Glen Orchy is a hidden gem.

The rooms we booked were very clean and comfortable. There was an excellent choice for breakfast ranging from a continental to the full works. The staff were very helpful throughout our stay advising on things to see and how to get there. During our stay we had a couple of evening Thai meals, the food was delicious. The hotel is only about a 10-15 minute walk from the centre, however if you are coming by ferry, I'd suggest you organise a taxi from the terminal as its a good 40 minute walk.

The place was easy to find from the boat but you do have to wait till 2.00pm before you can get in and we got off the boat at 7.00am. However, we got a warm welcome and the room although small was spotless and clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice as well with a buffet type breakfast but you can get cooked as well

The room was a bit small but it was just what we needed coming off the boat for a single night stay before moving on to our actual accomodation. We also weren't able to get a dinner at the hotel but we ate out. They couldn't help this as Shetland is struggling for chefs !

Breakfast was good. We liked the Thai food available in the evening. Very handy for the central part of Lerwick. Note, it is downhill into the town. Reasonable sized car park. Friendly staff

The staff were pleasant and I liked that they had left a key for me to store my bag before I was able to check in. The room was neat and tidy and comfortable.

The room was very warm, even with the thermostat turned down and the window opened, which made sleeping a little difficult! The shower wasn't great, but passable.

Great breakfast variety and amazing views from and around property.

On the dining room door under where it says the breakfast open hours it says when it's open in the evening but dinner isn't served in the property and the property is located in a residential area where it's about 10 minutes walk into town.
