The room was brand new, still had the new smell. The view of the bay was beautiful from the room and it was nice having seats on the terrace to watch the sunrise. The staff sent a text to check on us shortly after check-in, that was a nice touch. The restaurant and Biggby Coffee in the hotel were a bonus. We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

There were two chairs on the patio, but it would be nice to have a little side table as well. It would be nice to have bar soap in the room, but not a huge deal. The ice machine was only available on the first floor. Again not a big deal, but it would be a nice option to have one on multiple floors.

The room was beautifully decorated and updated and it was so nice to see the room actually looked like the pics on the website. The hotel itself smelled fresh and clean. The carpets and paint in the hallways were clean and looked new. It was nice to have an upscale restaurant on property as well...the food was delicious!

I would say the only thing would be the lights on the balcony/deck outside the room were very bright all night long even with the shades down and it would have been nice to shut them off but I understand that they are on for security.

We had a lake view in the new wing and it was fantastic! Clean, modern rooms, a spacious balcony, and the sound of water lapping against the shore all made for a great last night on our Labor Day Weekend trip. We also ate at the Tavern and not only was the food delicious and beautifully plated, but the waiter was very patient with our requests to accommodate our toddler. This place was great value for the money, and I wouldn't have minded staying another night so that we could've tried the free kayaks or bikes.

The room was one of the best hotel rooms I have ever had in any country. Cocktails and bar service truly excellent. The bikes are basic but in good condition. The kayaking, also included, was well worth it..though the road abit noisy.

Food. Sorry I am too European but this food was too processed/fried. in 3 days the only dish we enjoyed was the tuna. Breakfast...In fast food area. Horrible Suggestion in room put plug so can plug in phone beside bed at night

We stayed in the high tower suites. They were brand new and absolutely awesome. Huge room, great views and very clean. The shower was big and very nice. Freshwater Tavern and Bigby Coffe being in the hotel made it really nice to get an early morning breakfast before we started the day and a great way to end the day with a delicious dinner and night cap. Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly and incredibly helpful.

The pool area needs a remodeling but it was still nice

Mostly everything! Can’t wait to see it when all the repairs are done. Beautiful look inside and outside right on the lake! Restaurant was awesome! Highly recommended.

It was under construction so I had to walk pretty far to get to the front desk. But the front desk would make every effort to accommodate you with that just one call away and they text every morning to make sure your night was good and to check if you need anything.

The Terrace Bay has recently been renovated and expanded. The facilities, therefore, are brand new at this point (4/20/25) and extraordinary. Clearly, a lot of consideration was put into the planning of this place. It really shows. Very stylish and comfortable. Mary Ann, who was at the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Any gripe might have is too insubstantial to mention.

My wife and I were in Gladstone to attend a wedding of a neighbor and friend. The facility has been recently refurbished. It was very nicely done. Very comfortable, beautiful setting on Bay Du Noc. Great coffee shop on the property. Nice Bar with friendly people. The food was awesome. I would highly recommend The Terrace for your next stay in the Escanaba/Gladstone area of Michigan.

Absolutely beautiful room and view. Came for my birthday weekend with family. Spent the morning of my birthday sitting in the chair by the window staring out the window drinking an ice coffee from Bigbee. So relaxing. Love the modern, industrial look of the room. Loved the pool area especially where you can sit and look out at the lake.

The staff was very friendly, and Mary Ann texted me to let me know that my husband had left his pillow in the room after we checked out. Thank you for making sure that we got our item. My husband would have been very disappointed if he left it behind.

There was nothing that we didn't like. The only thing that would have made the stay better would have been having a room that overlooked the lake- the view is amazing.
