Cute motel, it's one of those properties operated entirely virtually so there is no check-in desk or staff on the premises. Check-in was done via phone and it was quick and easy, phone call took less than 5 minutes and we received the room number and the code to open it right away via text. Restaurants are a short walk away and there's a good variety of options. Room was pretty spacious too.

Water pressure in the shower wasn't ideal and the shower head was dripping at first, but we figured out how to cut off the water and that prevented any dripping noise during the night.

Clean. Had the essentials as that was all I needed the bathroom I enjoyed the tiling. The lighting wasn’t too much and it was nice being able to roll open the window blinds without issue. It was quiet, I could smoke outside peacefully without anyone bothering me. The neighborhood around is quiet there’s a gas station and plenty of food in walking distance. I didn’t even have to talk to anybody. Anyone who complains about this place has lost their damn mind. It’s perfect. AND the lake is down the road.

With no staff on site, we ran out of toilet paper and had to buy more & only had two towels.

I liked the location. Gladstone is a nice little town and Lake Michigan is about 3 blocks, or a 5-6 minute walk from the motel itself.

I think its the booking website but there were several times I would book for 4-5 nights and on checkout it would bill me for 3-4 nights. Im not sure if its an issue with the property or booking.com itself but it was frustrating choosing my dates to stay and having them be off by one night/morning - more than once. The app or website would show 5 days available for stay but upon checkout would only bill you for 4 days. Very inconvenient, especially when traveling for work. There was one day I was actually at work and the motel called me asking why my stuff was still in the room. Maybe its a software issue but I travel for work and stay in hotels the majority of my time and Ive never had this issue anywhere else like this. Be careful when you book! It just might take one night away from you! (they dont take/steal money just quietly remove one apparently available day on reserving the room).

When I entered the room there was a 16 ounce Coke can on the night stand. I was unsure if I entered an occupied room. I looked in the bathroom and found a travel size soap container on the shower floor.

the room was "dated" only. Second time I stayed there. Will stay again.

All I want is a clean place to stay and a fair price. They delivered what I expected. In my email reservation I got room code with no room number with both of my two times I satayed.

I did not receive breakfast. Location is close to cute little shops.

The shower took a while to warm up, the bed was a little springy, the decor is out of date.

Bathroom was too small. Not enough room to turn around in the standing shower and not enough leg room by the toilet seat.

My last stay, that room was updated. This time, no.
