The warm and friendly check in staff make you feel right at home, despite the slight wait time to check in their hospitality was very impressive unlike any other place in POM in which I truly appreciate. A gentleman named James was very chatty and accommodating in which made the wait time go by, before I knew it my room was ready. The room was very clean and the view was amazing, which was more than what we expected.

When ordering room service the lady at the other end of the line seemed quite rude and couldn’t wait to get off the phone which I found quite unpleasant, as my mode of payment I requested to pay with card. However when the order had being delivered by a young gentleman whom was very kind had to bare the hassle of going back down to get the Eftpos machine because “he wasn’t made aware” I had opted to pay card.

This was a personal visit to PNG for me to reconnect with family from 30 odd years ago. We had a dinner in the restaurant and the staff on their own volition baked us a beautiful cake with icing that said Happy Reunion. That is simply amazing. The property is undergoing a full renovation (the rooms are tired but clean) but the views remain stunning and all the staff without exception are personable, attentive, happy and nothing is ever a problem. The breakfast buffet is superb, and the overall food experience is first class I would not even consider any other hotel in Port Moresby - its a home away from home

A minor point, the airport shuttle bus is now operated by a third party (which is fine). But I mistakenly thought I could arrange the pick up through booking.com message link. Didn't work, so had to organise that on my arrival with security guards at the airport. Not an issue for me as I am familiar with PNG and the airport . BUT that would be a concern for any first time travelers to PNG and being tempted to use unsafe transport options if they are not met at the arrivals area. My suggestion is to strengthen the administrative processes between booking.com bookings and shuttle pick up scheduling.

the smiling emojis above tell it all. the facilities have a high vote. humans...? In 2015 the facilities did not make my stay, staff did. They sang 'Happy Birthday', to Missus when I could not make it in time to GP from Porgera. They lit candles on the cake and surprised her when they sang - 1 male and 1 female voice. I paid I made suggestions and the staff then did the unexpected on my behalf and this is memorable and it is the true face of PNG.

.the check in and pressure for payment is not applied... from across the counter I got the feeling of doubt whether I could pay thus a pressure to pay up whilst my MANY previous encounters there were of the freedom to pay during the stay! .impressionists should not be at the front counter but the likes of the bell boy from Abau should be the face of GP/PNG. .provide advance notice whether no house keeping would be available; at the 6th attempt with my frustrations thrown at the Duty Manager fresh towels/toilet paper were brought in!

This is my home away from home. Security is very important and is first class at this hotel. The staff cannot be faulted. Great views, good food, comfortable beds. If there's a problem, the management sorts it out quickly. Nice gym, good location for walking, jogging but dont carry a phone or camera unless you are escorted by security. Walking distance to eateries next to the harbor, also a decent supermarket. The place is being upgraded which looks very well done.

Don't stay on the harbor view side, it can be noisy on Friday and Saturday nights with street and night club fighting and gunfire. The pool is not very nice, too small, Ok for kids. Sometimes the management books all restaurant seats for convention guests which is the height of bad manners. Also beware paying for the executive floor because when that is booked, the management just kicks you out. This is a fatal flaw with this hotel. It would not be tolerated in the USA or Europe. To displace long term paying guests from facilities like the pool or restaurants in favor of people who are not even sleeping at the hotel is stupid, infuriating and extremely rude. It makes you feel like you as a paying guest are a damn nuisance. Very hurtful.

The check in staff are always very friendly as usual, due to the frequent visits it was very comforting and made it a pleasant experience to have a room upgrade

The AC in the room kept playing up, and there were several times I had to switch it back on because it kept going off for some odd reason (there was no Blackouts experienced) this would’ve been expected during a blackout. The shower head in the bathroom was almost like it was dripping despite turning the knob to full.

Excellent views of the Sea and harbor from two sides of the hotel. food is excellent and improving under Chef Lal. Staff are very friendly and make me feel like i was one of the family.

They sometimes reserve all restaurants and the executive diring area for private functions for several days which means yiou have to eat in the bar or downstairs in the tiny coffee shop. Fot a five star hotel this is astonishing and makes me think that they chase the money at the expense of caring for the long term guests (I stay here for 2 to months and up). I have never met Senior management of the hotel, and i have tried to join their loyalty program but the web site does not work. The wifi is often so slow as to be useless so i bought my own remote wi fi to be able to work anywhere in Port Moresby. The city is a bit dangerous but there are really nice walks down to and along the beach, just dont carry things which you dont want stolen.

Location overlooking water by a conference center. Taxis, etc know where ihotel s. Clean, quiet. Elevators. Room wasn't ready when I arrived so they upgraded me to a top floor suite. Hotel is 12 years old but has an established feel upon entering. Desk personnel lent me two types of tape to fix rollator breakage from flight.

Shuttle from airport never happened, or it did but I hadn't been informed what to look for. They were happy to call my next hotel to pick me up.. Hotel could be anywhere: Not especially Papua New Guinea. You ask about breakfast? Not included. No porch in the penthouse. .

Everything at this hotel was fantastic, our room had a fantastic view from 12th floor and nothing was any trouble to the staff at all. All Breakfast and every meal, buffet lunch with friends we had at the hotel was brilliant. After meeting with Som and Lal, under the direction of Som both these two men know their stuff and put into practice, they booked us into the 15th floor for a 5 course Sunset Dinner, to celebrate our 47th Wedding anniversary, and both of our 67th birthdays much to our delight everything was brilliant along with a beautiful sunset in the background so if celebrating special occasions or just being on holidays and pampering yourselves, do yourselves a favour and splash out as you won't be disappointed and we look forward to catching up to you Som and Lal both again somewhere in the world. All the staff were attentive and always smiling. Beauty Spa was great, hubby also enjoyed his pedicure, hair salon including a haircut was great and head massage was best I have ever had. Namaste and happy travels.

From the check in staff to the cleanliness of the room and bathroom it was top notch. This has been my second stay in a row to have my room upgraded which is appreciated very much.

Had quite a struggle attempting to have the AC be cooler, it took almost half the night and a few attempts to finally get the AC to the right temperature given the screen being blank it was quite a challenge

The room was great. Worth the price that we paid for. Plus booking online gives you a good discount as well. Hotel was also near a lot of great restaurants and bars in the Harborside area. Would defs book again

Everything was okay. Only thing I noticed was that the room I had (singe room, twin beds) didn't have amenities like soap or even shampoo. However, they did provide toilet paper and a couple travel sized bottles of lotion. The air conditioning also was an older model and took a second or two to figure out how to turn it on and adjust the temp.
