I have stayed here a few times and every stay seems to get better. We had a second floor room with a balcony overlooking the beach and volleyball courts within Marina del Rey Harbor. We had a great evening having dinner at the Warehouse then caught the show at the Comedy Store and finally had drinks on our balcony. We had Starbucks and a nice breakfast from Doordash delivered and again, had our meal on the balcony and chatting with people passing by. It may not sound like much unless you appreciate the quiet, location, accessibility and economy of this place. We do appreciate those things and we will be back. If you like these things you should stay a night or two and find out! Mike and Mags

Well this was my bad as we should have brought drinks, snacks or a nice bottle of wine with us but I forgot. The room has a fridge but not stocked! So we had to travel a bit to stock up but it was worth it!

The agent knew who I was ; how I booked, I didn’t notice the $50 deposit from the hotel for room check has been returned back yet to my cc. I loved the bungalow/privacy and something was available within a matter of minutes. Which was my fault, I always stay at Shoe Inn and with the fire pandemonium still going on there was nothing available. But after the saving;location and the peace and quiet outside the building. I’m not staying there anymore. I pay 3 times the amount just for location and restaurants just gouge you because of the location. You can’t eat at a restaurant for under $100. I can’t get over the solitude. I guess I just thought that was the way it was. I had checked rates at this bigger hotels near your bungalows and they were still way more inexpensive with bigger rooms, windows. I stayed in a tiny pensione w/no window and poor plumbing. My stay was wonderful I hope you have me back in a month. I travel to LA every other month. I’m still near a big body of water and close to Venice beach

I guess I forgot to ask about dining or eateries close. You may want to have a pamphlet available. I got hungry and it got dark and didn’t know how far I would have to walk

Great location, helpful staff, very clean and comfortable (although a little outdated) rooms. The Cheesecake Factory attached to the hotel was really convenient. This hotel is ideal for large groups or families especially. I liked how the lower level had easy beach access.

The rooms and carpet and curtains could use a little update. The windows going out to the beach from the porch on the lower level were really foggy. The room telephones could use an update. They should also consider putting an ice machine on the lower level as well and installing a vending machine or somewhere in the hotel to get basics. The store next door is closed up so it would be convenient for the hotel to have a few items on hand for purchase.

The room was perfect. The area was great and the price was just right :-). I would definitely recommend going to this establishment to stay.

The instant coffee was questionable. there was no hot water to make the coffee. The staff was busy talking to themselves and did not notice that I left two cups full of instant coffee waiting for water that did not exist. I left the cups with the instant coffee at the table but nobody noticed and asked me if I needed help. there were too busy having a conversation among themselves

Hotel is location is super convenient, short walk to the playground and bank and just 5 mins drive to costco and the beach! And free parking! It was a pleasure to stay at Foghorn. I highly recommend it for any other future travelers. Special thanks to Margaret she runs the place and it is in under new ownership which they excel at! Thank you so much! Definitely staying again on our next LA trip.

We had a nice stay. Balcony room on upper floor overlooking beach. Lots of beach activities all day to watch: volleyball, kids playing, picnics, kayaks and paddle boards out on the bay, etc. Room not fancy but has what you need, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, very good wifi. Comfy bed. Staff is friendly and helpful.

After a long flight from London, it was lovely to find such a great room with its terrace and brilliant view over Mother's Beach. It was easy to walk to Venice Beach and along to Santa Monica Pier where we could enjoy the surroundings and the local bars and restaurants. We also took an Uber up to Hollywood which was close enough to be practical even on a budget. The staff we met were all friendly and charming and ready to help with all our queries. We'd recommend the Foghorn Harbor Inn to anyone visiting the area and would book again in future. Thanks for a great stay!

This was a good value, small, older motel right on the beach at the marina. It has a great view, although our room did have one since it was on the back side. The bed was really, really comfortable. It was an easy 15-20 minute walk to shops and restaurants.

A coffee maker in the room would have been nice.

Absolutely beautiful room, great view of the bay, very quiet, General Manager Mrs Margaret is a delight to talk to, very friendly and knowledgeable, Super Customer Service, can’t wait to come back!
