This hotel is fantastic. The location is great, located near Hollywood, it really is in walking distance. The hotel is very clean, modern, and super comftorable. After reading some reviews I was skeptical on staying here, but it is genuinely a great place to stay. We didn't have any issues at all staying here. There is one tip I would give to future travellers. If you have a car and are looking at parking your vehicle at the hotel, DON'T. It is very expensive. Around the back of the hotel is a parking lot that is comopletely safe and has CCTV all the time, the hotel charge something like $55 per night, but the parking I found around the back was $15 per day. We left our car at this car park and used other bits of transport, like the scooters, to get around in the city. We then used our car to go Santa Monica etc. Honestly, this hotel is top tier. Book it. Enjoy your stay. Have a wicked trip.

Great rooms, comfy bed, excellent location in Hollywood. Good vibe throughout my 7 day stay, close to amenities with nice rooftop pool and gym and friendly staff. The restaurant and bar downstairs were fabulous.

Service on the rooftop was a bit scanty when I went for a swim and at times the hotel generally was a little raucous (my neighbours / the corridors and outside could be noisy)

The location is perfect - very cool hotel - room small but enough for 2 people

Out of the four nights we stayed - three afternoons/evenings there were events on in the rooftop pool and bar area - so we couldn’t just pop up for a swim or to have a drink which spoiled it for us. If you had children it would be unacceptable. It’s not a cheap hotel and you should be able to use the facilities at any time - it shouldn’t be closed off for private functions. The reception staff that we encountered were very ‘cool’ but not exactly friendly

Rooms a little cramped. Be aware there is a $150 per night deposit that needs to be put on hold on arrival. Make sure you have sufficient funds for this as it take 3-5 days to be refunded.

We stayed at the Godfrey for 4 nights (Tuesday-Friday)in May 2025. We were really anxious about staying here given all of the recent bad reviews but our stay was great! The room was tidy/clean and cleaned everyday, it was on the smaller side but could fit 2 suitcases opened up, only downside was no wardrobe and only one small open hanging rail. The staff at reception were friendly when we checked in and the valet were good too, although valet was expensive at €66 per day, there were no overnight car parks nearby so this was the only safe option. Location of this hotel was good with tourist attractions nearby, it also felt safe. The rooftop had good views of the Hollywood sign and was relaxing sitting near the pool. This hotel was a noisy from traffic outside and the walls were quite thin. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the hotel did host a private event/party on the rooftop 8pm-2am on the Friday night, we could hear some music but it was not loud enough to keep us awake - but I can imagine being on a higher floor this could’ve been worse. Overall, a really pleasant stay and don’t let the bad reviews put you off like it nearly did us!

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The rooms are very small but to be expected with being in a city. They were comfortable and warm. A little difficult to manoeuvre around our suitcases whilst in the room as there is no place to store them. We did not use the bar or restaurant . For one night this hotel is worth a visit.

The reception staff were a little matter of fact, not very engaging but that quite a minor issue . The location is great, right by the Netflix HQ and not too far to walk to Hollywood Boulevard. The only negative observation I had , again minor was that there was only one bathrobe and only one cup to use for the coffee machine. There were 2 people booked in the room but only one cup and bathrobe. ( we didnt use the bathrobe) but its odd that the hotel did not know there were 2 people using the room.

Breakfast was decent, though not exceptional. However, the service stood out—the server was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. The rooms were compact but well-designed, featuring a comfortable bed that made for a pleasant stay. The hotel’s location is a major plus, situated in the heart of the attractions with the Hollywood Walk of Fame just a short walk away.

The food menu was quite expensive, with the breakfast buffet costing almost around $50 for a day. I visited the rooftop hotel once, but it was crowded due to a birthday party. During night you could hear the music from the rooftop hotel.

My second stay at the hotel. Just like the first time, staff was lovely and the room and amenities very comfortable.

My room was towards the courtyard (which is beautiful) on the third floor. During my stay they had multiple large parties at the rooftop/pool area and even with all windows and curtains closed it felt like I was laying right next to the speakers. It would usually last until 10:30/11pm but if you wanna have an early night in, it’s impossible to fall asleep beforehand. The parties also meant that the upstairs bar/restaurant would be shut those nights and the pool area would close early.

Modern facilities, friendly staff and great location not too far from a the Hollywood / Vine Metro station. Complimentary breakfast was basic but definitely hit the spot.

There’s an additional amenities charge of $35USD per night, at the time of our visit, that was not disclosed on Booking.com. Probably less than what you’d pay for breakfast in West Hollywood but not disclosing it up front did not allow for fair comparison. The area itself can get pretty noisy and there’s very little noise insulation from the outside. We got used to it after the first couple of nights.

Room was very nice and comfortable, great bathroom with amazing toiletries. Cleaning personnel was very kind and left the room impeccable the times we had the room cleaned.

Elevator issues overall, under repair 2/7 days we stayed there + on weekend parties they put someone from security to control elevator use and becomes very ineffective. Amenity fee is very high in my opinion, since this cost is not something usual in my country (Mexico), I was very surprised by the cost... and it was literally a surprise because I wasn't aware of it :( I didn't read the small letters when booking but thats totally my fault
