First of all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and was homely. Secondly, the food was excellent and our family enjoyed all the dishes, specially the crab curry. Alcohol was not that great. My wife ordered a drink with Arack ( green in color). It was overly sweet and pretty much had no alcohol in the drink. Draft beer was great. Thirdly, the room design was excellent and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The hotel provided accommodation for my driver, for which I am thankful. I will definitely visit again.

excellent staff and service. the property has a nice clean pool as well. the rooms are nice and clean. location is also good as there are shops nearby.

The welcome as soon as we arrived was excellent - despite there being a coach load of guests who had arrived at the same time. The apartment was very comfortable and clean, and everything worked very well. The waiters and waitresses were always there to help out, and were polite and kind. The Sri Lankan food was excellent!

Staff were really nice and helpful. During our stay my mom got an injury and the support provided by the staff were really good. Krishna at the Amutham restaurant were really helpful. I don’t remember the names of the others who helped, but big thanks to everyone.

The size of the accommodation. The restaurant and housekeeping staff were very helpful. The grounds were well maintained.

We booked a suite with private pool. The pool was a jacuzzi and the outside area was very poorly maintained. We had to have the ground and the jacuzzi itself cleaned before we could use it. Then we couldn't use it as it doesn't get warm! The snack bar seemed to be being used as a meeting room throughout our stay so that was unavailable.

The Thinnai was a great place for me to spend my 4 days in Jaffna. Huge suites, very comfortable, quiet, swimming pool, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. A bit far out of the centre, but easy to get around by tuktuk or bicycle, which the hotel can rent you. Strong recommendation!

There is a lack of restaurants in the vicinity of the Thinnai, so i ended up eating in their restaurant on several occasions. I thought the food was decent enough, but i believe there is room for improvement both for breakfast and dinners.

Big spacious rooms. beautiful setting. lovely restaurant and bar. Nice pool to take the heat off Jaffna heat. lovely little gym with tread mill exercise bikes and free weights. They have a back up generator which is a bonus.

Not having an A/c Lounge or at least with better seating.
