Excellent all around. Great location with lovely views of the mountains, access to trails from hotel and short drive to Grossglockner trail. Beautiful building, large, comfortable, clean and modern room, great bed and excellent whirlpool, saunas (3) and relaxation/cool down area. Self serve meals (except main course at dinner) with a great variety of fruits, vegetables, salads, breads, etc. Free coffee (expresso, capachino, etc). Self serve (honour system) alcoholic beverages, good selection and very reasonable prices. A rare jem and an amazing value! Do not hesitate to stay here

Not that it matters at all ( you are not there for TV), but there was only 1 TV channel. Wifi was weak in some areas of the room although strong in most areas of the hotel.

Great location, with very nice and delicious food. Great to warm up in the sauna after an all day long hike in the changing weather. Interesting self serving system with drinks. Make sure to come for more than one night to enjoy the hikes nearby.

This is our 2nd time to be there! The location is often booked out. We took the last available room for 4 people and it resulted a bit costy for two of us. In the end, we are happy we did it. The view from the room was breath taking + the extra space we got was also nice to spend a relaxed afternoon with a sofa and a table. The coffee and syrop + mineral water available for free for 24 hours was a big plus. The dinner and the breakfast were included. The options for the day we stayed were unfortunately not exactly what we wanted but the food quality was nice (we wanted fish but fish was for the next day, it was definitely not their fault ;))

This is not a big deal but we wished we could have a dinner in a room where we could enjoy the view.

We recently stayed here for a couple of nights during our two week road trip in Austria. The location is excellent next to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. We were allotted a room on the second floor with a great view of the mountains on the rear side. The elevator was a big plus as we had luggage and we had to carry it at all the other hotels in Austria except this one. The room was spacious with modern furniture. The bed/mattress was comfortable but the pillows were very soft. The bathroom was big with a big size showerhead and all the toiletries. The breakfast is great and varied. A 4-course dinner was included in our stay which was a big plus as there are no restaurants nearby. The dinner was typical Austrian fare with a different menu for each day of the week. There are a host of facilities for the guests including 24 hr tea, coffee, water / sparkling water, a game room in the basement as well as a spa room. We would rate it an 8 out of 10, due to the hot water issue faced by us on both days.

We did not get hot water in the shower and bathroom on both the days. This was a big let down. One more guest reported the same problem at the reception when we were there. The person at the reception (Allen) tried to rectify the issue and showed us the app on his mobile which was indicating the right temperature of water. Allen insisted that we keep the tap & shower running for as long as 30 mins to get hot water. It did not resolve the issue. What a huge waste of a precious resource.

Room was a bit tight for 3 people For those who like sweets for breakfast, palačinky are the only option - some cakes or pastries would be great

The fact this hotel is located on the top of the mountains is amazing. The rooms all had excellent views of the +3.000m mountains. Moreover, I was impressed that there was breakfast AND dinner included in the price. The food was served with high quality and a great selection from everything and any dietary restrictions.

There was nothing really worth mentioning that we did not like on this trip. The only downside is if you travel with an electric car (so did we), that we had no opportunities to charge our car at the hotel itself. That would have been the only thing.

Great location if you are exploring Grossglockner Alpine Road. Dinner and breakfast were very good, beer as well :) There were board games available for family and friends to spend time, as there is nowhere to go there and nothing else to do after dark. Room was OK, facilities and parking as well. Hotel is located after the toll, so you have to spend the day on the road, even if the weather is not good (or come another day and pay the road fee again)

Pillow was not comfortable at all

I loved the set up with the meals and self service. The hotel is beautiful, better than the photos, everywhere are amazing views. An exrodinary place to stay, I wish we could have stayed longer.

The only thing that was missing was a mini fridge in the room. We had to throw out a lot of travel food, and some medications need to be stored in the fridge. Otherwise, everything was perfect 👌

Excellent location, extremly friendly and understanding staff! Free tea, coffee and water 24/7. Wide selection for breakfast to satisfy from adult to children. 4 course dinner with an A and B main course to chose from and if the selection is not really child friendly then they have a C selection child friendly option!

Playroom not having toys for toddlers.

The house is located next to the main road, but there is no sound at all. It has jacuzzis and saunas, drinks at reasonable prices. We had half board and the food was more than excellent.

In the summer season, a refrigerator in the room would be useful. We also missed the slippers. For sauna and jacuzzi use, bathrobes could be provided instead of sheets….. all that would be just an upgrade.
