I'm someone who usually feels uncomfortable in hotels because they never feel clean enough to me, but I was so pleasantly surprised with this one. The room and the bathroom were super clean and smelled really nice and the mattress had 3 layers of protective sheets on it and all of them were really clean which is absolute heaven to me. The hotel is quite small which makes it really cozy and personal. I felt safe in my room at night even as a solo female traveler. The staff is really nice and helpful and the overall vibe of the place is really chill and friendly. Overall an incredibly nice place to stay which is definitely worth the price. I didn't want to leave in the end! :)

It can get quite noisy around 7 AM as the guests start leaving, which I think is completely normal for hotels but for light sleepers I'd recommend getting earplugs. :)

The location is great, at 10 minutes walk to the city center. The charm of this old house is a plus. Besides the equipments, buffet for breakfast, I would like to stress the great professionalism and kindness of the staff during the stay and moreover when I had to solve an issue with the public parking where my car was parked. Thank you for the receptionist who was not on duty this Sunday morning for his assistance. Here a recommendation: I reserved the parking spot at the hotel (15 euros) and since the small car park at the back of the hotel was full, I was sent to the public parking 'city center " at the other side of the block. Here is the point. Even if it is not marked with clear visual instructions, you have to put the electronic card provided by the hotel against the right side of the console. The same when you leave. Do not take a ticket otherwise it will confuse everything. Look at the picture

The negative point is not pointing the hotel but the city center carpark because of the lack of visual instructions.

Hotel is on a rather downtrodden street with buildings either empty or being renovated. But it is around the corner from the pretty and vibrant downtown core. The staff is wonderfully helpful, the breakfast generous. I’ve never seen such a collection of teas to choose from. Drinks and snacks are available any time on an honour system. We arrived early, and had informed the hotel as we also wanted to arrange for parking. A room was ready and waiting, much to our pleasant surprise.

Our room was on the top floor. With no elevators climbing that many stairs, suitcase in hand, is a chore. There are also steps to the front door, and we actually helped other guests with their luggage to get into the hotel. It was a warm night and the room was stuffy. We could not open the skylight due to the rain, and there are no fans in the room.

We booked a family room with a balcony. The room was pretty comfortable, with one double bed and one sofa bed for two persons. There was enough space for a family of 4. In the room there were a table with a chair, a commode, a coffee table with an armchair, a closet, minibar (empty), a TV, etc... The balcony was pretty big with a table with four chairs. The breakfast was good, although the variety of food could be more. The stuff was very friendly. The location of the hotel is very good: the centre of the city is very close.

There was no kettle in the room. So if one wants a coffee or tea, they can prepare it in a coffee room in front of a reception. A cap of coffee costs 2 EUR and a glass of tea is 1 EUR.

Very tidy room that has pretty much everything one needs. Friendly staff. The location is really good for the price range and it only takes 5 minutes to reach the old city.

No water cooker in the room. The windows despite being closed didn't provide much noise insulation so we thought we have left them opened a few times.

Good location a few minutes walk from the main area and about 15 min walk from the train station. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Great breakfast. Nice room.

The room was very spacious and neatly furnished with a lot of opportunities to make yourself at home. The staff was exeptionally friendly and forthcoming, especially the ladies preparing the breakfast. Highly recommendable.

Comfort room with balcony worth the extra. Nice old building in the centre.
