This is a fantastic place to stay - so surprising. It’s such a beautiful building - it felt like an honour to stay in it - and for the price of an average hotel. The rooms are quite plain but intentionally so. Ours was very comfortable. We paid a little extra for a river view and it was incredibly peaceful. There’s the opportunity to wander round the building and the garden as you please - it’s so interesting. It’s a short stroll over the bridge to a pretty town square. We ate at Pierre Bonaventure - classically French - it was excellent. We were blown away by this unique stay.

The self service breakfast was nice and fresh. We liked the general lack of packaging. We went for breakfast at 9 and some things, like the hot options and some of the bakery items, had run out. So if you opt for the breakfast (€15) maybe get there earlier

Vast room, with a modern, sleek look in a very old building. Good shower. My room overlooked the cloister which was charming. The building clearly has visitors and working parties, which on the week day i stayed, didn't disturb at all. Breakfast was plentiful and good. The added bonus was the freedom to walk around building and garden and current exhibition rooms. Welcoming staff. Plenty of restaurants in the active little town of Pont à Mousson.

Nothing comes to mind. Small public parking opposite the hotel felt safe.

The setting is AMAZING! A great welcome at reception by a staff member with a wonderfully subtle sense of (English) wit & humour. We were made welcome and offered very good recommendations for supper in the town on a Sunday evening. Thank you! Touring the Abbaye was the unexpected highlight of the visit. The views to and across the River Moselle; riverside path to the photogenic bridge/pont and general architectural upgrades added to the perfect location.

We just needed an entourage or personal staff to be in accord with the location. Clearly, it was unavailable at such an attractive price point.

The abbey is a very unusual and for us interesting and pleasant combination of hotel and cultural center. Excellent breakfast. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Lively town with excellent restaurants within walking distance.

A lift would be nice to take the luggage to the upper floor. The information signs could be more open regarding the age and historic authenticity of the building. It is mostly a modern reconstruction.

The building was amazing and definitely worth going to this hotel just for the photos. The room was spacious and comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The staff were excellent and vey helpful.

The breakfast was good enough but running out when we arrived quite late. However croissants were replenished and we could have had more.

This is a suoerb hotel in an almost unbelievable setting of an old monastery. The staff were beyond helpful and engaged, the room was perfect and the breakfast sumptuous - well worth the money. The location is perfect for the town centre and the recommendation for a place to eat dinner was perfect. It's a 'must' place to stay.

Nothing. Everything was just perfect for me

When I first arrived I thought that I'd come to the wrong place; I thought that I was at a tourist attraction rather than a hotel. The building is amazing, inside and out. My room was perfectly adequate and very comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection of fresh and freshly cooked products. Lots of choice.

If I were to be picky, the layout of the bathroom was not the best. I was surprised to see a bath, and the shower over it wasn't as good as many. However, it was perfectly servicable.

I guess that the hotel is preferred by elderly or people staying there for the events. The neighbors above and next to us got up fairly early (6-7 in the morning) and listened to the television before their breakfast at volumes that may hove woken up anyone buried at the Abby. Other than that, because it’s an Abby, the hotel may look a bit creepy if you are on your own and checking in after midnight.

Charming place, very beautiful! Polite employees, clean bedsheets and bathroom, warm water. Good location if you want to avoid the big city and be close to it.

Easy to walk into the main parts of town. Very large room, good bathroom. Separate toilet. Plenty of heating - which we needed as we’d got really wet during the day. View over inner courtyard - we could see where the motorbike was parked. Coffee machine in corridor -as well as tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Hotel part felt impersonal and lacking in character, considering it’s in a historic Abbey. But fine for one night.
