The hotel looks new: the corridor and reception area are quite cozy, the elevators are clean, the furniture is new, the scent is pleasant, the plumbing is new, and the bed is comfortable.

It was very dark in the room. There was no way to increase the brightness of the lighting. The blinds were always closed, and I couldn’t find a switch to raise them. I specifically chose a hotel with large windows because I wanted to look at the night sky. Even though there was a construction site outside — which I could see through the blinds — I still wanted to see the night sky. But unfortunately, I wasn’t able to raise the blinds in any way. Some basic items that are usually expected in a hotel were missing. I’m a traveler, and I don’t carry slippers or a toothbrush with me. Both were missing, and I really needed them. I was very disappointed. I had to walk barefoot — even if the carpet seemed clean, someone had already walked on it before me. That made me feel very uncomfortable.

Beautiful building, super friendly staff. The room was nice and big enough for two people. The shower was great, I loved it. Beds were really comfortable. The location is a bit outside the city center, but within a 15-20 min walk. Breakfast was very great.

During our one night stay, we did not have wifi for the lion's share as there was an issue with this. Also we did not get any card key for the room as there were problems with that too. The staff had to let us in our room and the lift, which was annoying for us and the staff. We did get a complementary breakfast because of the problems, which was generous.

Ideally located near to the Pompidou Museum which was the purpose of our stay. The town centre is also within ten minutes on foot.

The only thing that would make the stay more comfortable would be a larger washbasin in the room. We were in a deluxe king room and the marble washbasin was rather small and there is not enough space next to it to store your toiletries. Also, the make-up mirror is not attached to the wall which is impractical.

Fairly nondescript area but the property was amazing! The amount of detail in all elements of the interior design was totally unexpected and way, way above the usual pretty bland hotel decor one normally expects. Photos of engineering, stained glass, tiles in bathroom, much more, all based on history of Metz.

We arrived very late after a long and delayed drive - our receptionist was lovely but unfortunately one of his colleagues was very rude. The receptionist made up for it though.

The room and hotel is a design experience, it is beautifully done by Philippe Starck. I had a good lunch at Le Maison de Manfred. Staff responded promptly when there were loud sounds coming from another room.

I could hear vibration sounds of the lift in my room up until Maison de Manfred closed (at midnight), this while my room was at the end of the hallway. The whole room is quite dimly lit (because of fixed blinds and light settings) and that can't be changed.

Great design, beautiful place, staff very accommodating. Location: it’s a bit far from the historic centre, but the area where the hotel is, is worth staying, just a few minutes walk from the Metz Pompidou centre, and it has a lot of restaurants around

Great variety of food options, however they should make more effort on developing a different system to keep the hot food hot

This is one of the finest hotels I have ever seen after 65 years of Euro travel. The price is unbelievably low and the building and staff are perfect. I can’t say enough about this amazing find.

A bit of a walk from old town center. Maybe 25 minutes. The breakfast buffet was great but around $30 a person.

The hotel and staff were very good. Near the motorway for easy access.

Although the website said there was a car park there wasn't. Was told it was an error. Parked next to the hotel in a car park, but rained when leaving so got wet and the pay machine did not work. Irritating.

Location was convenient for travelling connections. The hotel is newly built with a great design and stylishlyhe furnished. The most charming quality was the staffs, they had given the hospitality with their hearts and smiles

We arrived very late at night due to flight issues, and we were all very sleepy. Even at the late hour, the check-in was quick. The rooms were very nice ( this is a new hotel ) and everything was clean and comfortable. We had a pleasant experience !
