Well located between old part of town and Centre Pompidou, in an area with plenty of good restaurants. While there’s no free parking, they have a good arrangement with a nearby underground parking garage. Staff super friendly, accommodating, and helpful with good local insider knowledge. Room spacious enough, quiet, with good beds and good air-conditioning. Good shower and as many towel changes as you like. Breakfast was good, easy-going during the week and under heavy pressure on the weekend.

The bathtub floor gets slippery while showering, maybe only in our room, this should be fixed.

Staff were very caring and welcoming. Spoke English which made life easier for us , and also very helpful informing us of events going on that evening g that we would have missed we not been told ! Really made for a wonderful visit to a beautiful city ! Beds were very comfy and rooms a good size . Breakfast was very good with a good selection

No English channels on TV . Not major as can't expect it in France but world news would have been useful or at least a TV that we could stream to but this really isn't a big issue just an observation, but if weather is poor and maybe some one didnt want to go out and about

Wow, what a beautiful old building- something from the the 1830's, complete with beautiful architecture and stained glass windows in the lobby. Excellent location near the railroad station in a lively neighborhood with an old town vibe. Also a not overly long walk to the historical center and all that Metz has to offer. Lovely huge room with dormer windows, very comfortable bed. To top it all off the breakfast was excellent! Altogether a real gem, especially at this price!

The only quibble is the parking situation. Parking is possible at the nearby station underground lot at a discounted rate, but actually figuring out the parking lot is a challenge, and the supposed 24/7 desk isn't. I'd say this is the perfect place to stay if you are traveling by train, not quite as convenient by car.

The bedroom was very spacious and clean with plenty of storage space. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, clean and free toiletries and towels were provided. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is very good, as the hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the railway station and about 10/15 minutes' walk from the city centre. The breakfast is excellent with a very wide variety of sweet and savoury items to choose from. There is also luggage storage. Please note that this hotel is not suitable for wheelchairs users and people with mobility problems, as there are a couple of steps at the entrance of the hotel and a few steps from the reception area to the lift. Highly recommended.

First - the location. Avenue Foch should be mentioned in the description as a wide avenue with big, old, charismatic trees and with excellent town planning, such that there is ample, easily accessible parking very close to the hotel, which is even free overnight. There is absolutely no need to have private parking at the hotel. The breakfast included is very good and the space for the breakfast is light, with big windows facing the avenue and the trees. Super. I had a room at the top of the marvellous old building - no noise, just the top of the trees, the sky and the clouds.

The only thing missing was actually that there was no refrigerator in the room. However, the staff at the reception was quick to offer that the water and sandwiches could be stored in the central kitchen refrigerator.

I specifically was told at check in that I could not use AMEX for the room deposit but could use it when checking out so I used my debit card , when I checked out I was informed the charges went to my debit card and they were unwilling to credit my debit and use AMEX. I find this totally unacceptable and frankly will not stay here again on that basis alone. Note my original reservation was done using AMEX

Great location close to the main station, and a pleasant walk to the historic centre, or the free shuttle bus that goes from just around the corner. Breakfast was ample and fresh. The hotel itself is quite the snazzy historic building, so the rooms are a decent size.

The bed's mattress / mattress topper was very saggy in places, and slid around somewhat.

We were greatly welcomed by Guillaume! Super attentive, kind and helpful with our stay at the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located in a very pintoresque and well connected area. Close to the river restaurants and shops. All walking distance. Breakfast was a 10. Thank you so much!!!

The bed was supremely comfortable. I had not expected a bath in the bathroom and was delighted to see it. As it was a very wet night it was great not to have to walk very far from the train station.

We had hoped there would be a restaurant in the hotel and were disappointed we couldn't have a meal there. We left it too late to check out the recommended restaurant and there were no tables available. There was a wonderful aroma wafting out the door. It would appear that we made a dreadful mistake in dawdling. We got a pretty decent meal in the Mercure hotel, where there was an excellent group playing. Maybe a meal in Le Romarin, followed by drinks, music and dance in the Mercure would be good for a night out. Breakfast was fine but it took us a while to figure out where to find things and our poor French didn't help. We hope to return to Metz when the weather improves and hope to stay in Ibis Styles again.

Loved the location and easy parking. Beautiful historical building. Very comfortable bed, good ac and a spacious room. Tasty breakfast with good quality choices that was included in the room price.

No bar in the hotel and no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Shower very low on the wall, this seems to be a common thing in France.
