I stayed for one night from April 13 to 14. The room was clean and had everything needed for a short stay. However, it seems best suited for a single person under 1.9 meters tall—taller guests may find their feet touching the balcony door while lying in bed. Tip for future guests: If you're tall, consider checking the bed length with the hotel in advance to ensure a more comfortable sleep. The balcony was spacious, and the bathroom was comfortable with all necessary amenities. The hotel’s location is convenient—just a 10-minute walk to the city center. Breakfast was simple but tasty, including a small selection of sausages, omelette, and a nice variety of pastries and baked goods. It cost €14 and was worth it.

The hotel is called Hôtel Escurial – Centre Gare, which suggests it’s right next to the train station. In reality, it takes about 7–8 minutes to walk there with luggage, which can be a bit inconvenient if you're expecting direct station access.

Location was very good. We could park our car inside a garage within 7 min walking distance, with relatively good price (9.5 EUR for 24 hours) because the hotel had an agreement with that garage. on the street it is much more expensive. You can just go ahead and park in the garage. When you want to leave with your car, just bring the paper that hotel gave you alongside the parking ticket/card that was printed from the machine to the person at the office inside the parking garage so that you pay the discounted price only. Breakfast was very nice.

We could hear the people staying at a neighboring room, but was not very disturbing.

Very central hotel. Convenient to downtown especially if walking. The girl at the front desk was very kind to give us a waking map of the area. Since we were only there for 1 night, (& arrived late) we were able to park on the street right around the corner from the hotel, which is free till 9am. In the morning we paid for 2 hours to walk a bit and see the Cathedral. The room was small, but good for price and location tho, so good for one night.

My only complaints were even though the place was spotless, the bathroom still had a bad smell. The other was the same thing many others have complained about: the pillows. Get new ones because those are terrible. I put together my jacket and sweatshirt for more support.

Small hotel, well renovated, well furnished, friendly staff.

The rooms are small (was ok for 1 night). No A/C, which can be a pain in hot duller days. The hotel is advertised to be bike friendly, but beware that there is no dedicated bike storage: bikes are stored in the tiny lobby and moved around by staff / bike owners as more are coming / going. When I got to my bike in the morning, it had not been moved with care, and my chain had derailed!!! The kind person at the reception helped me put it back on, but were there any other damages I didn’t see? I would not leave there a bike that a really care about.

Yes the rooms are small but they are in a lovely old building with beautiful features, like the glass doors to the balcony. The bed was quite nice and the room was clean. It's all you need for a few nights. And it's really close to the station and other central places in Metz. The personnel was absolutely lovely and all spoke perfect English, which of course isn't necessary but it sure makes things easier.

The breakfast could have had more veg options, wasn't worth it for us. There are really nice breakfast and lunch options 5 min walking distance though.

Extremely nice reception desk staff. Thank you again, Majid, for everything! Also possible to leave the luggage at the hotel until departure. The bed was very comfortable. Free parking in the city on Sundays. Hotel offers a good deal on underground parking nearby.

No air circulation. It was quite hot in the room at night. A fan is provided, however. We did not leave the window open at night so as to not let any mosquitos inside (we didn't know if there were any mosquitos outside but didn't want to risk it). With the window open it might actually be cool enough during the night.

The staff was absolutely incredible! Kind, polite and helpful! The breakfast was also amazing for the price. Beds were comfy and room was clean.

The rooms were quite dated, especially the bathrooms. We booked 2 rooms, one one of the rooms was half the size of the other one. Parking was a bit inconvenient, they had only a few spaces available outside. If you arrive later in the day it is unlikely to find parking in the area.

Location was excellent, 5 minutes to the central train station and 15 minute walk to the town centre. The hotel itself was in a charming building near to cafes and supermarkets. Facilities were simple, clean and in working order. Staff were uniformly excellent, especially Zac who was particularly hospitable and made my stay very relaxing

Well situated hotel, good for one or two nights stay (when passing through). Close to parking garage (Charles the Gaulle near central station) with which they have a good deal, so cheap parking. We got the key to the room really quickly. Did not take breakfast, so no opinion on that.

It could do with a renovation. Rooms are decent but somewhat outdated...But, the rate was sharp so perhaps that is connected.
