The young man at the front desk was so sweet and helpful giving us a room close to the entrance so our dog that was hit by a car less than a 1 week ago would not have to walk much. Also allowed us to park close to the entrance. The room was super clean and comfy. I enjoyed the pool for some relaxation after such a stressful week with our dog’s accident. The breakfast was not that great but it’s complimentary so we appreciate it. Great value, location and super nice staff. I would recommend it specially if you have pets. Pet rooms have no odors at all. Super clean.

My family and I had an amazing time at La Quinta. We loved the cozy clean home vibes it has. They were very accommodating considering we had our cat with us. And believe it or not, La Quinta is the only place my cat really feels happy and comfortable at. Breakfast was great and so was the service. Alexia from front desk was so incredibly helpful and kind. We had a situation with my elderly father accidentally closing his door and getting locked out of his room, but thankfully Alexia was there to help and did all in her power to get the door open. Thank you to the other person who also went out of her way and helped Alexia open the door. I believe that was the daughter of the owner. The service, care and amazing vibes here is truly the best.

We have stayed here before, so we requested a room that did NOT face the freeway noise. We were planning to stay for THREE nights so a quiet room was important to us. One morning we had an early start and needed a good night's sleep. When we arrived, a very chatty desk clerk said she was giving us a room away from the freeway as we had requested; however, she gave us a freeway view room with a tiny, extremely noisy fridge that we had to unplug and an exceptionally noisy A/C which we couldn't get started without help and which we had to run because that side also gets the late sun. When we asked her for a different room, she said there was only one room available on the opposite of the hotel, and it was right by the lobby/entrance -- another noisy location. At 3:45 AM, I went down to the desk to ask if we could move to a different room the next day. The night desk clerk said that, yes, we could move the next day but that, if we didn't mind a king bed instead of two double beds, we could move right away. He moved us to a quiet, king room on the opposite side of the building. That room also had a newer, quieter fridge and a better A/C unit. It was the sort of room we had expected based on previous experience. Getting moved like that right away and finally getting some sleep turned an awful experience to a positive experience. The night desk clerk was the sort of employee who makes people want to return. I can't thank him enough.

Everything in the first room was unacceptable -- the noisy fridge, the A/C, and the traffic noise. Even the blackout drapes were unsightly compared to the second room. I don't know why the first desk clerk didn't mention that there were king rooms available on the quiet side of the building.

That breakfast was the best out of 5 different hotels in Davis and we stayed at. Also there Is a Starbucks next door, short walk so teens were happy.

Can't think if anything. Oh maybe if the hotel room had one or two bottle waters. The day we want booked in was Thanksgiving and all the stores were closed so we couldn't find a place to buy water bottles for the coffee machine in the room. But it was nice that you had a little station for coffee and water for the guess. We ended up taking cups of water to the room.

Excellent value when compared to others nearby. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Convenient location to UC Davis. Coffee was excellent and breakfast and breakfast area was good.

Although the staff went out of their way to place me away from the noise of the nearby highway, the constant hum of the highway was noticeable. I use earplugs so I slept well anyway. The elevator was very slow to respond, so I took the stairs mostly. Also, I was unable to get back into the bldg from the side access using my key card which seemed unusual.

I had to get a new key every night due to some issues with the electronic locks. Very annoying because us8 g the side door was more convenient but I had to walk to the front desk every night for a new key. After 4 nights I was told I’d have to do that every night, very annoying,

Room was immaculately clean and roomy. Front office and breakfast area were also very clean and inviting. Employees were friendly and helpful. For Davis, where motels near downtown are painfully expensive, the price was good. Only an easy one mile walk to downtown restaurants and the campus.

My room was close to the freeway, so it had a bit more traffic noise than I would prefer. The other side would be quieter. But I would certainly stay there again!

- The staffs were very friendly and family-like. - Although the hotel was relatively old, it was clean and lovely. They had every basic things I need: free coffee/tea/cocoa, drinkable water refill site, laundry, ice machine, breakfast, free fruits, tiny packaged Dove shampoo + conditioner + soap, etc. - Wi-Fi quality was acceptable. - Lamps were bright.

- The breakfast was highly recommended by the front desk and the Booking feedbacks, so I was very looking forward to it. However, it turns out disappointing. Only few basic items that tasted OK. Nothing impressive and worth of recommending. - The carpet was kinda dirty. - The toilet made huge sound when flashing that scared me every time.

I have stayed here half a dozen times and it is always inviting, clean and quiet. They offer consistent wifi, a very decent breakfast and checkout is at noon. This is all great because I only stay in Davis on nights preceding exams and I like to hit the gym before my long train ride home. The staff are always thoughtful and helpful and even the other guests are pleasant for a brief chat.

I ride my bicycle from the train station and it makes me nervous to ride the overpass to La Quinta. However, that being said, it is quite close to the Davis campus with unbeatable prices which is why I always come back.

We've stayed here what seems like an endless number of times. If you go during the week, it's absolutely the best deal anywhere in the Sacramento metro area. Nice staff, nice rooms, great location, acceptable breakfast, clean, just a nice, friendly vibe. And there is a pool and a hot tub, and a great Chinese restaurant right there in the same parking lot. We live in Italy now, but for a while this place was our home away from home. Thanks everyone!

A scrambled egg option would really improve the breakfast! Also, half and half or milk instead of just the flavored creamers for the coffee.
