The staff are super friendly. The pool and fitness center are great. We really liked the location because the views are fantastic and it's quiet. The free hotel shuttle is an easy option to get into town or to the ski resort. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for 5 of us. The kitchen is equipped so you can prepare simple meals. They serve a light breakfast in the lobby each morning. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available all day. There are a lot of nice seating areas in the lobby, and the fireplace is especially nice to sit around. We loved our stay and would definitely book again.

The hotel is a bit outdated, and the carpet has definitely seen better days. However, we were told the hotel is undergoing renovations starting April 2025. The activities room is a nice concept, but not used because it's outdated. A makeover with free activities (not coin operated) such as a pool table, air hockey, etc, would be great for families to enjoy. Another important upgrade would be smart TVs in the room so people can sign into their preferred streaming service for shows, movies, etc. If you are sensitive to smells, the hotel does carry a lot of the food aroma from guests cooking in their rooms. It didn't bother us, but something to be aware of.

Great location and ski shuttle. Great price for the space in the loft and kitchenette. Hot tub was nice to have and good size The stocked kitchenette was great! Cozy lounge Work out room was great size with good machinery/weights for a hotel, although changing the carpet to a moppable floor would be more cleanly.

Shower was a little dirty. Hot tub was pretty clean but had a few dirty bubbles that were a little gross. The guys said the pull out bed was uncomfortable. It seemed old. No fan in the bathroom. We had to check in about 40 minutes late because the room was not ready, but they took off the resort fee and allowed us to check out a long hour later. Would have been to have DVDs to check out to watch in the rooms on the DVD players

The hotel is close to the ski lifts and has an on demand shuttle service to the base of the resort for those that don't have their own car. The room was spacious and included a mini-fridge, microwave oven, a sink, plates, cups, glasses and cutlery which was very handy for preparing and eating some food in it. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and two hot tubs. The fitness center is also great an well equipped. There is a fire place in the middle of the lobby and some nice views all around the hotel. There is also an activities room with arcade games, pool, table tennis, air hockey, etc.

There is no restaurant or breakfast, so you're always limited to the food you bring or eating out. The games in the activity room are paid, but there is a coin machine for exchanging banknotes to coins at least.

We loved our stay here! Some reviews have talked about how this hotel is dated - I would say its unique! Yes, it has an 80's style to it - but the rooms are HUGE, apartment style with a large living space, excellent kitchen area and TWO bathrooms. Super clean. It was quiet, but with super friendly staff that could not have bene more helpful. Free use of washing machines & dryers. The only thing was the pool was out of action, which was a real shame. Oh and yes the road is a little rough going up to the hotel - but it is totally fine if you drive slowly and we have seen a lot worse!

Remember back when a working class family could actually afford to stay and ski in Ski Town USA? The Steamboat Springs Hilltop is emblematic of that era—views, facilities, solitude, affordability, amenities are perfect for families and couples. Sure, the place needs a few updates (skylight replacements, bathroom fixtures, etc.), but this doesn't diminish the experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they really care about their guests. Thank you!

This hotel is a great value, staff is always very helpful and pleasant, and the parking is great/ free. We also enjoy that there is a full kitchenette including microwave, fridge, oven, and stove, so we can make meals ourselves to save money and store food. The shuttle is an EXCELLENT perk - whether you are going to the mountain or down into town it is complimentary aside from the obvious need to tip the drivers for their hard work.

I like this hotel, and therefore I really hope they get an influx of money to do some much needed upgrades. It doesn't affect the quality of the stay generally, but things are overall run down and not clean. The towels, sheets, and blankets could be much nicer - all are scratchy. The front desk bought us as many as we needed but the quality was not good. The pool and hot tub area is also very loud/ echo-y and cramped. Overall not the place to stay if you are looking for a luxury or spacious and pristine hotel, but good value to stay while exploring / skiing Steamboat.

Large size rooms and plenty of closet and storage space which was great for our ski clothes. Lots of great sitting places in the hotel to hangout with family. Super friendly staff, especially David. The shuttle was very convenient. In previous reviews from a year ago, people said that there was a hot water issue. That is not the case anymore and there was plenty of hot water in the showers and faucets.

Our electric stove was very old and it did not have numbers on it to show how high you were turning the burners. You just had to guess.

The facility was beautiful and the 2 story set up was nice for my family. Staff was friendly.

Pool was out of order in mid summer. Hot tubs were open but kind of dirty. At check in, the desk person was not able to sell rooms from the hotel. We had several parties of elderly people who wanted a room, but did not understand how to navigate the process. My husband wound up helping one man with the lobby computer the staff directed him to.

It’s a very good value for the space in steamboat springs. the 1 bedroom condo with a loft is really a two bedroom (but one only has a half wall so open to below and the sky light). Kitchen was well stocked for a small condo, and minima cooking.

As we visited in summer it was hard to have a consistent temperature in the condo as the air conditioning is on the lower level, so the bedroom upstairs was warm but the loft and lower level were chilly. As others mentioned it is dated, but the towels and sheets are all nice. This condo is located outside of town up a hill- so you probably need a car if you plan to stay here.

We were very happy with the location, the privacy of having two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, with the addition of a 3rd bathroom in the main area. There was nice kitchen equipped with cooking necessities, coffee, coffee pots, microwaves, etc. We all were able to enjoy the hot tubs and close location to everything we needed. There was a large group staying there that overtook a lot of the extra spaces and amenities. The price was outstanding. the paint outside is harsh as mentioned separately by both couples. overall outdated but nice clean sheets and location.

needs updating but we understand we couldn’t have stayed for such a low price otherwise. renting a two bedroom suite, we thought it would be one condo unit but it was two units attached. the description was misleading but it worked out fine. first floor view not so good but they weren’t trying to impress us.
