as we didn't arrive until nearly 1.30 am, I was pleasantly surprised by how organised the Reception staff were; the welcome drink was very well received and the online checkin certainly speeded things up. Breakfast was varied, and plentiful and the staff were very attentive. Our room attendant was Dewa Surya: his care and concern for us was outstanding; the room was always clean, and tidy and if we needed anything, he always tried to get it for us.

We had an issue with the safe on 2 occasions :the first time re setting the combination worked, and the second time it could not be fixed. Luckily it was the day before we were leaving so it didn't inconvenience us too much.

Pleasant stay with good breakfast variety. Enjoyed the seperate pool area (no children under 12) with comfortable recliner chairs and peaceful gardens. Reasonable distance to beach and close proximity to restaurants and convenience store.

No hot water at bathroom basin. Reported it but were informed that a number of rooms do not have hot water at the basin Air conditioner in room not cooling properly Wooden floors in room creak a lot

Breakfast was great, staff great, Had construction which they understood and offered an upgrade which I really appreciated. Staff friendly and felt welcomed.

Just let people know that there may be construction so they can plan the day or know if this may last longer and they will not sleep to relax

The staff were so friendly and always happy and helpful. It was so nice to be greeted with a smile by them all every day!! Thankyou The buffet breakfast fantastic!!

The music at the pool. There was no variety of different styles just the same synthetic techno type of music. It got a bit much when you wanted to just sit on your balcony and relax. I avoided the pool until the swim up bar/music shut down. Was beautiful to swim in after that! Beach was further away than I thought and definitely would grab a scooter to get there if you wish to go often.

The adult pool was lovely and not very busy. The buffet breakfast had a good variety, and they changed out the hot items each day. We did have an issue with our air conditioning the first night, but it was rectified. The manager also came to our room to apologise and give us a late check-out, which was very much appreciated. The last day, there were a couple of kids in the adult pool, so we went to the family pool, which was nice and peaceful. However, it would be nice if the staff could remind the parents about the adult pool policy. All the staff were very friendly and approachable. I would be happy to return in the future.

Kids in the main pool. We stayed in 4 hotels on this trip and the prices for drinks and spa at Astagina hotel were incredibly expensive. Due to this, we didn't use either. Most of the people (along with me) brought their own drinks to the pool, which wasn't an issue.

The beds in the room were huge and so comfy. The balcony which overlooked the pool area was great. Breakfast in the morning was a self serve buffet style breakfast which was really nice, they had a nice variety of stuff including lots of pastries, an egg station - however you wanted it cooked they would do it for you on demand, fresh fruits and then also a selection of Asian foods. The biggest attraction with this hotel is by far and away the pool area. They have a swim up pool bar which is cool, and from 1pm to 6pm they do a 2 for 150k IDR deal on selected cocktails which were delicious. The four poster pool side beds were really comfy and we ended up staying on them a few times across our stay The staff were really helpful and friendly. The location was perfect, only a 5 min walk to the beach each day.

Astagina staff were responsive and professional from the booking, to check in and checkout. Upon arrival they upgraded me to a 2brm villa with pool as my 1brm had an issue. The family friendly atmosphere and overall chilled vibe, clean rooms and facilities were a great surprise. Music, dancing and dining were amazing fun, the gazebos provided some privacy around the pool, the beds were the best, and the location was excellent close to everything but still very peaceful. Thank you, Bayu Arya, Wayan and Mei and all the security guards professional and personable, you made our stay truly memorable ❤️

Nothing to dislike. Even the entrace path to the resort was whimsical.

The staff were great and very helpful, rooms were large and comfy beds, can make tea and coffee in room and good aircon. Plenty of places to eat, drink and shop just outside hotel. Nice breakfast was included with a good choice on offer.

We were not overlooking the pool and our balcony just looked out over a wall which made the room very dark. Rooms and bathrooms felt a bit dated although clean and do not understand the glass wall between bathroom and bedroom?? Shower leaked onto the floor. I think we learned we are not keen on the Legian area and my husband was asked if he would like "ladies" before he even walked out of the driveway

it's a nice looking hotel, quietly tucked away from the busy street. Staff is great and nothing is ever a problem. Walking distance to seminyak and to the beach. Close proximity to many shops and restaurants. it's very clean and housekeeping staff is doing a great job cleaning the rooms.

it's inexpensive and attracts different types of customers to say it nicely. Unfortunately a few nights we were woken up by screaming drunk crowd on our floor. Bed was way too soft for me and I woke up with a sore back every morning.

We really enjoyed our stay at Astagina Hotel. It has a wonderful atmosphere that immediately makes you feel relaxed. The garden and poolside area are absolutely marvelous – beautifully maintained and perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

The bathroom felt very dated. It would make a big difference to renovate it – stepping into it just didn’t give a great feeling. We really hope this will be improved in the future. The food at the hotel is nice, though there are some even better restaurants in the surrounding area that are worth trying.
