Breathtaking location, well worth going out the way to visit here. we felt like we'd arrived in paradise which I don't say lightly, it was like nothing we'd ever seen before. The views are incredible, the facilities are luxurious and relaxing, the restaurant serves food to a very high standard and the staff were incredibly accommodating. There's a wide range of activities which you can do at the lodge, from cooking courses through to hikes and some self-care (full spa treatments). The staff truly went above and beyond to accommodate our needs specially the meals as my wife and me are vegetarians. We'd come back to Sri Lanka just to visit the resort again.

The access to the resort was a major turn off unfortunately as much as we liked the place the road to get there is atrocious - bumpy, potholed, twisty, narrow, and well over an hour and half like this. Our very experienced driver was fine and got us there ok but ideally need a 4x4 or better still find a helicopter to get there! Also, there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. You can access internet only at the dining hall.

Views were amazing. Staff were great. Food was nice. Shower was awsome.

Road to the place is very bumpy and uncomfortable. If you have back pain you may have some issues. The pool could be cleaned as the bottom was a bit grimey. If your planning to visit kandy- its a bit far from the city so i would suggest staying in kandy do the sight seeing then book into this hotel for a few days as once your there its effort to get back to the main city.

Breathtaking view of the Nuckles mountain from the room, the infinite pool and the dining area. Staff members were very friendly and hospitable. The chef happily accommodated our special meal request and the food was excellent. Special shout out to Nadun, Sanjeeva, Kumudu and the chefs Vishva/ Sunimal for taking good care of us. “

We are nature lowers and loved everything about Madulkellee. Nature at it best, Mountain View, waterfalls, lot of monkeys, birds, deer, goats, … lovely stay

The location. The music the atmosphere, for those who want relax , the stuff are very nice and generous. There is wonderful garden and nice swimming pool. The area around nice for traveling and exploring.

The road to get to the lodge is not welcome. It didn’t interrupt us at all but I can understand that for some it can affect. When you get the resort you want to stay and not go down until you leave.

Location is incredible. Staff is so friendly. Got the honeymoon suite for half the price of the website, therefore great value for money. The tent was a dream and we are so happy that we spent one night there. One thing that could have even further improved our stay: a bootle of bubbles in the minibar fridge - we would have bought it :)

The road up to the lodge is in bad shape - we felt terrible for our driver’s new car. It is pretty unbelievable that they assume you can drive there without problems. They should arrange a car area on the bottom of the hill and come to pick you up. Our driver was not happy, and we felt sorry for him. Note that once up there you cannot really leave ( which you don’t want to anyways because it is the most beautiful place) The pool filter is very loud.

Everything! The view was spectacular, especially waking to watch the sunrise over the Knuckles range. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; their attention to detail and kindness organising activities and transfers was hugely appreciated. We visited a local tea factory and hiked to mini world’s end, which included an excellent tour of the kitchen garden. I highly recommend the Sri Lankan curry on the menu!

That we had to leave! The road up is quite uneven in places so I recommend organising a transfer through the hotel or a reputable transfer company. We used the pickme app to get a taxi from Kandy station and it was not a pleasant journey as the driver didn’t know the roads and took several wrong turns. For our return we booked through the hotel and the journey was smooth, pleasant and altogether so much better.

This place was beautiful. The lodges were perfectly clean and lovely. The views from this lodges are perfect. The food was delicious and the team were very accomodating with our halal food preference. The best thing about this place is the very kind and lovely staff. We had the best hospitality particularly from staff member Visha. He was constantly friendly and always making sure we were looked after. It made our stay perfect. Highly recommend a stay at the beautiful Madulkelle honeymoon suite 😊

The only thing would say is getting to the place is difficult due to the rough narrow roads. Make sure get through via a 4x4 or a jeep for a smooth drive.

Literally nothing, this place blew my mind it was unbelievable.

It's our 2nd time in Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge and we will keep coming back! Inspiring and magical place where you get to sleep just under the clouds. All the comforts. 5-star food. Wonderful experiences on offer for nature lovers. Lovely caring staff who make us feel at home away from home. It's always difficult leaving this wonderful place.

Great location with awesome views. Staff are all super polite and friendly. A lovely guide on hand for local hikes and an insight into village life. Great chef for a cooking demonstration. Helpful with our early departure providing a picnic breakfast.

It is 30km from Kandy so once there, travellers should keep in mind you’re not going to duck into town. Once on the plantatin, you’re probably not going anywhere else (tours aside) until you leave. Not a hardship thoguh as it’s a beautiful spot.
