Stayed here the beginning of April for 2 nights. Lovely view and relaxing atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive. Room is very clean and comfortable. The traditional dance show provided in evenings makes the stay special . We ate from the buffet the first night which was ok and the second night we ordered from the a la carte menu which was really nice.

A couple of times service was alittle slow, but this did not affect our stay.

Pure indulgence in paradise!  The staff was incredibly friendly, and their genuine care and attention to detail truly enhanced the overall experience of our entire family of six members. The food at the hotel was amazing, offering a wide variety of options that catered to every palate, and the crew at the restaurant was always there to go that extra mile to make us feel comfortable and happy.  Overall, a pure indulgence in paradise! Highly recommend.

Pool is cold Very far from city center Hotel facilities are good but if you are planning to do daily trips and come to hotel in evening for dinner and sleep consider to book somewhere closer to city center

The hotel is set in a beautiful location with stunning views overlooking the hills. The facilities are well maintained with the pool in particular being a highlight of the hotel. The staff are friendly and accommodating, for example, providing a birthday cake for one of our party as it was his birthday. The breakfast buffet is extensive and there is a good a la carte menu as well.

The room was a little dated but still clean and spacious. We were placed in the wrong room when we arrived, which meant we had to pack up our belongings and move to another room on the second night, which was disruptive.

Beautiful quiet location with great views. High quality furniture and fittings. Comfortable bed. Good food (the best hotel buffet we'd had in Sri Lanka so far). Helpful friendly staff.

It had rained just before we arrived, and a lot of the floors, en route to our room, were wet and slippy. But this is just because the hotel has so much open space.

From the moment we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The staff at Amaya Hills greeted us with enthusiasm and had us checked in quickly. Cold towels, tea and a wonderful view to admire. The bell staff assisted with bags as we were shown to our rooms. We had a family room which was two adjoining rooms. One with a living room with upstairs loft with bedroom and bathroom. The other a main bedroom and bathroom entered via a partition door with sweeping high ceilings. Across both rooms, all amenities you could imagine were provided. Both rooms had balconies and stunning views of Kandy below. The buffet breakfast and dinners were everything we could need and more. There are numerous facilities on the property. A gym, squash court, nightclub (open select days), cafe for day snacks and an another bar. We didn't use the laundry service, but did utilise the Cafe for a lunchtime snack after playing table tennis and swimming in the pool. The service from the staff was professional and of high standard. It did take a little while to recieve the food (about 20 minutes) but it was worth the wait. Sitting back, enjoying the view. My husband and I both booked massages and enjoyed them. Well priced for 1hr 45mins. Staff were lovely. We did read reviews prior to arrival and expected much less, so I feel the negatives people have pointed out have been taken into account and worked on when it came to checking in and attentiveness of staff. As a family of 4 travelling Sri Lanka for the first time, we'd certainly recommend Amaya Hills for a short, or longer term stay. We stayed 2 nights and found this just enough time to enjoy the resort facilities. Much of the resort guests clear out early for the day trips so if you're looking to relax without the crowds this is the place for you.

The towels not really clean

The hotel is emerged in green which is wonderful ( you can walnut around to explore and there is trekking to Hantana park as well ) The minus is that it is quite far from Kandy center . Great buffet, gym will satisfy you , friendly and always ready to do their best for your comfort staff. We had our anniversary and they nicely decorated our bed and gave us a tasty cake :-) Beautiful view from hotel’s room and good size swimming pool.

Nothing. Everything was good. Some places as well in the room need renovations and “cosmetic retouches” like painting and refresh …

The hotel has a stunning view, overlooking the Kandy hills. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were lovely, excellent services, accommodating and professional. Good food and a variety of dishes to choose from.

For the elderly, it would be a challenge to get to higher floors as there is no lift facility.

Absolutely loved our stay at Amaya Hills, which made our wedding anniversary truly memorable 🌿 Absolutely loved the sunset view from our room! I really loved the Kandyan touch in the architecture and furniture of this hotel. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were really good too. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, thanks to the professionalism of Bhayga and Charitha. A special shout-out to Mr. Rukmal, for his exceptional service and attentiveness. Highly recommended for a peaceful and special getaway.
