The staff are just incredible, Manjula and Navod took such great care of us. The manager is so warm and welcoming, too. The location is amazing. It’s close enough to Kandy or other attractions but far enough to feel like you’re in the middle of nature and enjoying peace and quiet. Our hike with Aju was wonderful, he is so knowledgable. Food was amazing! Some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka - the pastries and fresh bread we had were exceptional. Also the room we stayed in was gorgeous (stable suite) - lovely decor, fittings to a high spec, and the bed & linen was so comfy.

Honestly, everything was perfect. We can’t fault it.

His dedication and genuine care made our stay even more enjoyable. Upul went out of his way to ensure that every aspect of my visit was perfect, from arranging special requests. His warmth and professionalism truly set the standard for hospitality. The culinary experience at W15 Hanthana is another reason this hotel stands out. The food was absolutely delicious, with a menu that expertly combines local flavors. Every meal was a culinary delight, prepared with the finest ingredients and presented beautifully. In summary, W15 Hanthana is a paradise for those seeking luxury, comfort, and a deep connection with nature. The breathtaking views, exceptional staff and delectable food make it a destination I wholeheartedly recommend.

This is an amazing property, oozing with character and history. The rooms in the main house are huge, well appointed, and super comfortable. The common areas are appealing and relaxing. Meals are wonderful. The grounds are large and fun to wander around. The views are stunning, even at night, thanks to the nearby temple with its lights. No one was using the pool, as it was a little cool most of the time, but it looked nice. One day I walked to the tea museum and back -- about 40 minutes each way. It's a lot of fun to be up in the mountains above Kandy.

The view was beautiful. Staff was wonderful and welcoming. The actual building was gorgeous - great decor.

The dinners. The food was very sub par. Very disappointed. Especially since you are kind of stuck there. It was my birthday and was really looking forward to a special meal. Have eaten better street food. For the amount we paid - felt like the meals should be outstanding. They also ran out of beer! (There is also a gun club - you could hear the guns go off which kind of ruined the tranquil nature of the place)

Incredible boutique hotel experience. Located very high up in a unique private setting on its own estate, offering the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Kandy town. The Colonial style building has so much character and the staff were super attentive and helpful.

Hard to find any faults with this place. Only minor thing was to avoid the typical western breakfasts as they haven’t quite mastered that yet, as most of Sri Lanka, however there are many other much better food options available.

W15 Hanthana Estate is Paradise! The rooms, the furniture, the decoration, the details, the view etc. are so wonderful! But most of all we love the service from the staff, who are real gentlemen: Seriff, Hantha, Manjulla, Niroshan. Sheriff informed us about upgrade of our room. It was so nice to inform us about upgrade room on my birthday! he was also so good explaining about dishes for dinner and lunch. Hantha gave my husband unique experience (he teaches my husband to eat traditional sri—lanka dish by hand), my husband asked him. Hantha was very good and delicate teacher. We also asked him a lot of questions about the Estate and he told us very interesting history about Estate. Niroshan brought us a book with historical photoes of building process of the Estate. Manjulla is a good coctail mixer, he very attentively listened our preferences and made us super cocktails. We spent wonderful days with those unique gentelmen. Bless them God. We will come back

EVERYTHING!!! We felt like we were in heaven after a long drive from the airport. Staff welcomed us with a welcome drink and snack. They had our beautiful room ready. The room itself was absolutely beautiful. The bed slept so nice and cushions were just right! We had the full board options and we enjoyed an ice cold wine (reasonably priced) on the most beautiful terrace overlooking amazing views of the mountain range and the tea plantations. In the far distance you can also see a temple. I did not make use of the pool but if you have time, this is a stunning place to unwind. The food was OUTSTANDING! And the staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our stay SO special. The manager Sidath and his staff is next level! With a wealth of knowledge of the hospitality industry he had the midis touch. Even arranged a very special dinner on the deck area. Chamila was a wonderful waiter and he made us feel so welcomed. He also has great wine knowledge. Nothing was too much for this team! We had a lovely drive through the plantation with the excursion team and what a great experience this was! We will be back for sure!!

Highly enjoyable place, friendly staff, warm and homely atmosphere, comfortable mattresses, good location (just 20 min drive away from Kandy city), lovely views, beautifully designed interior of the rooms and lobby

The choice of food is limited, that has probably been the only small disadvantage during the whole stay, but I guess that’s the common issue with all the boutique hotels

We had the most incredible few days at Hathana Estate! It is easily one of the most amazing hotels we have ever been to!! Such a beautiful setting hidden in the hills but still close by to Kandy. The interiors were beautiful, such comfortable rooms which were very tastefully done. Everyone that worked there was so kind and thoughtful. We felt so well looked after and all of the staff there are really what made our experience so special! On top of that they have such great activities, we especially loved the jeep tour and going to the tea factory. Truly felt like the most magical few days and will definitely be recommending to all of our friends! Thank you for having us <3

The main mansion is situated high up in the tea estates so you benefit from fantastic views! Very newly renovated with a keen attention to detail. Rooms are gorgeous.

My only negative comment is that on arrival for dinner we weren't offered a wine list or drinks menu, we were only asked for our food order. We didn't want to drink anyways but surprised we weren't offered the drinks menu or asked whether we wanted drinks.
