Amazing view! Breakfast was the best we have had in Sri Lanka. So good! Pool was nice and the prawn curries we both had were delicious and came without shells on the prawns so no fiddling about. The room was very nice and close to the pool. But you couldn't hear others.

They didnt have change for 5000 LKR to buy some drinks which cost over 1000 LKR. We had to eat at restaurant that night so we could pay for the drinks.

I had an amazing experience at this accommodation! Everything was exceptionally clean, from the room to the bathroom, which made the stay even more comfortable. The location is perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, yet it’s still easily accessible by car or tuk-tuk. One of the highlights was the stunning city view, both from the room and the beautiful infinity pool—absolutely breathtaking! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout my stay.

The large room with a large private balcony, great housekeeping The dining room service: we ate there every evening and were always impressed with quality of food. Had some wonderful meals on the terrace. The staff were very attentive- fruit, chocolates and biscuits left in the room The hotel was well located in a quiet area up in the hills above Kandy: excellent for walks. Wonderful views everywhere. Cute monkey families visible from the balcony.

The bathroom, though large clean and fully functional, seemed a little dated.

From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. Hotel Manager met us upon check in , during the stay and at check out which we felt so special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. I especially loved the stunning mountain view. Theva residence exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return. Everything was incredibly good

We stayed here for New Year's Eve and it was a beautiful location, with huge windows looking out over Kandy. The rooms are really large and the beds are comfortable. There was plenty of choice at the New Year's Eve gala meal and at breakfast. The food was very good. Overall we enjoyed our one night stay, but not sure it quite met our expectations.

Our room could have been cleaner. The jacuzzi bath is a lovely addition, but it looked like it needed a better scrub in places, so we didn't use it. We also noticed that our feet were dirty from the floor (we normally take outdoor shoes off at the bedroom door, so it wasn't from those).

Lovely hotel with great breakfast and excellent staff. The room was nice but the bed wasn''t very comfortable. Excellent facilities, bar restaurant etc. Lovely pool with a great view, pity it was too cold when we were there, so unfortunately we didn't get to use it

It's at the top of a mountain, much too far away from Kandy and once you're there you're stuck if you haven't got a driver. The dinner was way to expensive for what we got, thankfully our driver came to get us the following evening.

In the hills outside of Kandy with amazing views. Stunning design with clever use of glass to maximise the views. Pool was again designed well and very refreshing. Use of recycled bottles to make vertical plant wall clever by pool. The food was excellent, and service excellent. Relaxed atmosphere . We stayed in the penthouse which was incredibly spacious and a beautiful room, great for a family. Lovely touches like chocolate gift after supper.

Liked everything but minor advice - Could provide more complimentary bottled water in the rooms and with meals, this is quite important to foreign travellers.

The hotel is located about 10min on a ride up in the hill. We are glad that we chose this hotel because the city center was super busy and noisy, wouldn’t have enjoyed sleeping in this noise. The welcome drink (the ambarella juice) was refreshing and delicious.

There weren’t that many guests so we were usually the only ones having meals at the hotel restaurant. At times we felt a bit awkward surrounded by so many hotel staff (but they were very attentive and helpful!)

Great views from the balcony. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice to have a swimming pool and some sunbeds. The food here is outstanding, we stayed 2 nights here and ate in the restaurant both nights where we had some of the best food that we had in our entire trip in Sri Lanka. We had the 17 dish curry one night and it was fantastic. Biryani and masala curry was also amazing. Breakfast here is excellent too with staff being very knowledgeable about the menu.

I would recommend Theva Residency to anyone visiting the Kandy area. It is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in, in terms of service, views and friendliness. The room - large enough, good air con, large balcony with a beautiful view and good amounts of furniture. Has the typical - a fridge, safe, kettle etc. Comfy bed. Strong shower, we had a bath too. WiFi can be a bit temperamental in the room. TV seemed to be stuck on 1 channel. The hotel - beautiful surroundings! Views from all windows in all areas are great. Very clean. It is up a mountain so you do need a tuk tuk to get in and out of Kandy itself but this is pretty easy to arrange either on PickMe app or the front desk will arrange one. It's around 10-15 minute tuk tuk ride from central Kandy and via PickMe that costs around 400 Sri Lankan rupees. Pool area - there is a lovely infinity pool (3ft to a max of 5ft depth) with 6 loungers, towels provided. We never had trouble with getting space. There is also a sauna! Also the staff are really helpful, friendly and nice. The manager helped us arrange some excursions and made things really simple for us to get out and see lots of the sights! Food - breakfast exceptional with a choice of continental egg based breakfast or traditional Sri Lankan - both lovely. We ate dinner here most nights and had generally great meals - the curries and fish are the best meals, I was a bit disappointed in the Nasi Goreng/fajitas as they were both surprisingly bland. Overall, it's a place I'd recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful oasis while being near some nice Sri Lankan sights/places.

WiFi was a bit spotty in the room at times, but nothing that really mattered for my needs.
