Beautiful property with cute little pool, very helpful and friendly staff. Really nice big room with balcony.

There was a little bit of mould in the bathroom and quite a lot of ants, but it was a minor inconvenience.

We stayed at Kandyan Villa for two nights, and I must say the location was superb. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent, offering both Sri Lankan and continental options. However, the location can be a bit challenging to access for vehicles with low ground clearance. The view from the room was stunning, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. They also have a swimming pool, which added to the overall experience. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel to everyone!

The only drawback is that they don’t have satellite TV connections. They only offer a limited selection of Sri Lankan TV channels, and the quality is not clear. This can be a disappointing experience for both locals and foreigners, as it can feel a bit boring to stay for 2-3 nights without better entertainment options

It was nice and clean and the shower was so nice, must have been the most water pressure we had in Sri Lanka. Great view on the first floor balcony from our room. The host Denash was probably the highlight! He was super friendly, very genuine and honest with us and we also had a good laugh. Nicest bloke we met in all of Sri Lanka, he made our stay. The other staff like Thilina were also very nice and happy to help with anything you ask. The breakfast was a bit steep but it was very very good so we didn’t mind.

It’s a bit out of the way but you get a Tuk Tuk and problem solved.

We really like the fact that the receptionist was helpful and spoke English. The staff was really nice and proactive. The room was big and well appointed. There was a balcony and we had a greta view. It was super quiet and a nice breakfast was also included. Very nice pool and very welcome after a long day.

The smell of the toilet was not pleasant (smell of urine) and I had to clean it. To find the hotel was not easy, it is situated up in the mountains, and it makes it difficult for tuktuks to pick us up.

Had a really lovely 4 nights at the Kandyan Villa. Easy to find with Google maps and the hotels signposts. Only a 15 minute drive into town. The staff were very kind and helpful, we had tuktuk issues and they did their best to help us. Our room was big with a balcony to sit and relax with the incredible view. It was spotlessly clean, plenty of hot water in the shower and the bed was very comfortable. We slept really well. The pool is great and well maintained. We also had dinner and breakfast and the food is tasty. Parking available if needed.

This is honestly an amazing place for a few nights in Kandy. The location and view is incredible. The actual hotel is clean as well as the rooms and other facilities. They have a stunning pool on the property as well. The staff are what made this place even more special. They were so helpful and accommodating. I am so appreciative of how welcoming they were and made my stay as a solo traveller enjoyable. I couldn't recommend this place enough! Thank you so much.

I enjoyed the Panoramic view of the amazing mountains hills and the lush greens . Staff was very kind and helpful especially Mr Sashika who was so helpful, kind and friendly . His service was superb 👍

I wish there was a vehicle that we could hire at the property so our plans to move around could be easier instead of waiting for pickme 😊

Amazing location, with a great views from the room & balcony. We could hear the monks singing from the nearest mountains around 4am and 7pm (which for us was unusual but amazing experience). Super friendly staff, tasty, fresh & rich breakfast, made to individual order (eggs). Comfy beds! Would have stayed longer if we could or booked whole time we spent in Sri Lanka in here, very peaceful atmosphere.

Have to have some type of transportation to get to the hotel as it is high in the mountains & quite far from the city. Saw some tuktuks around as well, so should not be an issue.

Perfect end to our stay in Sri Lanka. Modern, spacious and very clean rooms, super comfortable beds and excellent wi-fi. We could not have been made to feel more welcome! The staff were of great asistance during our stay including the provision of a special vegan breakfast. In addition they gave great recommendations of other local eating locations. Very clean pool, in a garden setting, great for a refreshing swim after a day exploring. The view from the room and associated balcony was spectacular. We really appreciated the chance to escape the hustle and bustle that is downtown Kandy. We would highly recommend the Kandyan Villa to anyone looking for a relaxing break in their Sri Lankan travels. For anyone disuaded by the location, don't let it put you off. Yes, it is up a steep hill, but tuk tuks are very economical in getting you up and down. The kind staff will also arrange a tuk tuk or car for you, if required. There is also a local bus, a very short walk from the accommodation, if you are more adventurous.

The courtyard is heavenly: soft grass, lots of flowers, bushes and trees, smelling wonderfully. The swimming pool is clean and is nicely placed at the end of the yard. The views are amazing, especially from the balcony. Although the hotel is situated a bit far from the centre, the surrounding is very pleasant and safe, and tuk-tuks are easy to find. The rooms are OK, comfortable. The breakfast is also nice: sometimes it was the open buffet and sometimes a simple omelette with pancakes. The staff are cool and relaxed.
