The location of the hotel is beautiful, especially if you can enjoy the view of Echternach. The room was very spacious and clean and we loved the most the two pools. We rented bikes nearby the hotel, the biking paths in this region are fantastic. Highly recommended.

The hotel seems to be understaffed. There is a huge restaurant with a terrace but they claim to be full since they do not have enough staff (waiting staff or in the kitchen)? It is a lost potential, the food also looks very classic. This hotel has lived its golden glory, it would deserve new furniture. Everything feels rather old fashioned… which you may find charming. It seemed that the spa services were closed, it all looked very quiet and empty.

The room and bathroom were extremely spacious, very clean and had a nice balcony with great views over the garden. The spa facilities were great, with many options including an indoor, outdoor pool as well as different saunas, hammams and relaxation rooms. Ideal for a relaxing weekend. Best of all, the hotel is located very close to many beautiful hiking trails of the Mullerthal region, and it is also right next to the Echternach lake. Excellent location. We were also gifted a local bottle of wine upon leaving, which was a nice finishing touch to an already ideal stay.

The hotel itself is a little old and it shows in the outdated room decoration and somewhat creaky beds. Another minor detail is that we left two spa towels on the floor to be exchanged, and they exchanged all towels in the bathroom except the ones on the floor. A sign clearly indicated that to be environmentally friendly, please only leave towels on the floor that should be exchanged, and the rest will stay (common practice at many hotels) but it seems they did the opposite.

Big clean room with sitting area and balcony overlooking the lake. Very dated decor, but they had made a virtue of its ‘traditional’ feel. Swimming pools and relaxation area was lovely.

No availability for evening meal. Very poor breakfast. Very limited choice. No fresh milk, extra charge for eggs, despite already being quite expensive. Sauna was out of order, and smaller steam rooms could only be operated by contacting hotel reception, which wasn’t exactly convenient.

I visited this hotel 40 years ago and again today; I never usually visit the same hotel twice, but this is my second time here. Today the hotel’s not lost any of its charm, just ripened with age; we had a very warm welcome from the concierge. Our traditional very spacious room, yes, complete with pink Villeroy & Boch bathroom suite, had a wonderful view of Echternach, you can spend a whole afternoon just sitting on the balcony enjoying this view. Although not stated on Booking.com, the Restaurant is open and besides a lunch menu it has a daily 3-course menu which was excellent. I’m sure I’ll come again.

Well positioned for what we needed and facilities were good

Didn't eat breakfast or evening at the hotel, if they had just put on a sensible price meals then we would have probably used more. Breakfast for 4 cost was well out of budget and not value for money Hotel a little dated and could do with modenising, and evening bar lacked atmosphere so would have probably used more. Plenty of local services though so didn't prevent enjoyment

The sauna suite was excellent—clean, comfortable, and with an exceptional view of the lake nearby. Friendly service, nice breakfast (separate payment), and great location. We're planning to revisit this place in spring.

The property address on Booking.com was incorrect. If you plan to reach the hotel by car, find it on Google Maps. It would help if you had your bottle opener with you—there is no such thing in the room.

The hotel is excellent for people who like to have a quite stay in beautiful nature. I especially appreciated the facilities, gym, swimming pools, saunas. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms and the whole hotel was clean. And the best is the terrace where you can enjoy breakfast or drink in the afternoon. The view is just emazing.

It is something I knew when I booked it, the hotel can improve on internal design (too many styles) and I would recommend to change the balconies and fenses on the balconies, the outside look will improve so much.

Really great hotel. Staff is super friendly, swimming pool is amazing especially outside where you are in between trees just fantastic. Great location easy to get to. Rooms were amazing too, every night we were on the balcony reading. You hear the street but it is definitely not noisy nor bothersome. We even got two bottles of wine as a gift when we left! We went there for some hiking routes which was amazing too!

The restaurant wasn’t open and we were unsure of the bar being open or not. But it wasn’t bad, we went to a supermarket and grabbed some wine there and enjoyed our balcony. The breakfast is not worth 22 euro a person though that’s the only thing.

Very large room , with balcony for breakfast and evening drinks. Big indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Sauna’s. Clean rooms and bathroom, which is exceptional for this kind of large classic hotels. Well maintained everything, nothing is broken, damaged or wobbly. Service is par with reputation of this kind of classy hotels. Staff is there to solve customers requests and problems.

This was the high light of our trip. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We were going to go to Paris but due to the amount of people that were going to be in Paris for Bastille day we changed our plans at the last minute. I am so happy we did! The staff were wonderful, the room was beautiful, the place filled us with such peace and joy. The breakfast every day was exceptional and well attended. I cant speak highly enough about this wonderful resort. I thank everyone of the staff that work there for making our anniversary so amazing!!!
