The rooms were clean with mind-blowing services. The food was homely. Rooms were well maintained, travelled with aged people and a kid. Location is good with taxi stand available, restaurants are nearby. We informed the host and they prepared homely food. The host assisted us with all kind of support required from arranging cab, permit and homely food. The host has a humble attitude. MG marg is 15 mins walk, but only for fit people, not possible for aged people or who does not have that fitness to walk. The host arranged for all permits and cab so there was no headache to get them arranged.

I liked almost everything, location was good but it's 15 mins walk to MG marg. If you come down the hotel view is good The rooms were clean but there will be no view from the hotel. And to reach to the hotel, need to climb close to 30 -40 stairs.

The Hotel was surprisingly tidy, neat and clean. The room was small but had all the basic amenities. The bed was huge comfortable and cosy. I loved how spic and span the room was. Everything from the bedsheets, blankets to linen looked fresh and clean. Room service was prompt and Dorjee Da made all the arrangements for us for the tour. He was really helpful and courteous. Maybe a balcony or a view would have been awesome but we knew what we signed up for so no complaints. All in all it was a really good deal and value for money.

The property was exceptional. The rooms, bathrooms and the ambience and the surroundings were very good. The popular MG marg is just 15 mins away if you’re on foot (approx. 1-1.5 kms). Mr. Karma is a very humble and hospitable person. You’ll definitely feel at home when you’re at the place.

The location from MG marg might be an issue for some people as walking for 1 kms to MG marg may be tiresome because the roads needs steep climbs at some points. But we enjoyed the walks as it’ll make you do some good physical activity

Amazing Hotel!!!!! Hotel Shambhala was the nicest Hotel we have stayed in throughout the entirety of our trip round India! It was very affordable and the rooms and beds were so spacious and comfortable. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. They gave us very good recommendations for what to see around Gangtok and provided us with tea, filtered water and towels. I'll definitely be coming back to this Hotel when I return to Gangtok in the future!

Make sure the staff explicit the kitchen rules before letting the clients use the premises - we had a small misunderstanding that was however easily resolved when we talked to the manager of the hotel

I stayed in hotel Shambhala for 3 nights with my family. It is a new hotel, just 1 year old. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. The location is close to MG Marg (just 10 to 15 mins walking distance). You can also hire shared taxi from just outside of the hotel to MG Marg. The hosts are courteous, polite and well behaved.

My only suggestion to the hotel would be 'please open a well served restaurant'. A fully equipped in-house restaurant is very important for any good hotel.

Cleanliness and decency of the staff. Manager of the hotel karma is a wonderful human being. I fell unwel one day and he arranged everything for me to get checked at a hospital. I have rarely come across such good people managing hotels.

Staff is very helpful with some problems I had to solve. The property and room is very clean and I was surprised that the room actually looked like at the picture. The hotel is new and furniture is nice, WiFi is good. Good price for what was offered. I like the neighbourhood here. It is a bit away from the central market, but quite nice surrounding.

There are rooms with inner windows like mine. Anyway it is still a good offer but if you don't like ask them.

The host are very good and supportive. The hospitality of the hotel is great 👏. They helped me to find the rental cab for Nathula and other sight seeing at great price. Great food and meal for my 2 year child with so much care was great support for me in my trip to Gangtok. I would like to recommend it to other as well.

It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience staying five days at Hotel Shambhala, Gangtok. The first attraction is the simple yet elegant decoration of the hotel as well as the simple and sincere appearance of the owner Karma ji. He had always ready to fulfill our every demand with a smiling face. Due to this hotel's cleanliness, hospitality and guests' facility, one can enjoy staying at a Star Hotel with a limited budget. They will facilitate you with everyday room cleaning, 24 hours hot water, electric kettle with tea and coffee pouches, hygienic food beautifully served in their well decor dining room. Karma Ji's assistant Abhishek is very much efficient and always ready to look after and fulfill your every need. Its location is not far from the city center. The hotel is ideal if you want to stay a little away from the noise. But taxis of shared and reserved are always available there. We received help and proper guidance from Karmaji to get a taxi at a reasonable price to arrange our trip. Thanks to Karma ji, Abhishek ji and the entire Shambhala Hotel family. We want to stay there again in the future. We sincerely wish them success and well.
