Ideal as a base for hiking, with many excellent trails from the town to the mountains. It was great to have a fridge in the room and a microwave in the hall (although I didn't end up using this). The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean. There are cafes, shops, and supermarkets nearby - everything you need. It's only a short walk from the train station. I found it to be great value, and there was a nice-looking restaurant below too. All in all, highly recommended!

Hostel Maya is a very good value lodge located in the heart of Cercedilla. You definitely feel the atmosphere of being in the mountains. Clean and comfortable with lots of great eating options on your doorstep. The heated terrace outside Mayas restaurant provided good value food at all times of day, and there is a superb restaurant next door as well. Rooms basic but adequate, with decent bathroom. Easy to come and go from Hostel with freedom.

We had really noisy neighbours one night who were very loud until very early hours, apart from that it was quiet, we overlooked the terrace and the noise from there did not continue late. The TV was very small and outdated.

The Hostal is very well located and the staff is very friendly. Fran quickly took care of us at the reception and gave us the keys and explained how everything works. It is a hostal with good value for money, clean, honest and friendly. The location is fantastic. I had booked 6 rooms, but only needed 5 and Fran (the manager) was kind and very understanding and reimbursed me without questioning and promptly the amount paid for the 6th room I didn't need. Overall it wass a good experience and if you are looking for a good escapade and cozy experience with value for money out of the big city, I highly recommend Hostal la Maya. The only point I missed was that they don't have breakfast on-site, but that was not a big issue as there are option just around the corner and affordable to get started in the morning (cafés and pastelerias).

I absolutely loved my stay at Hostal La Maya and would recommend it 100%! The location is perfect, right in the center of the town. The room was beautiful, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I had two personal balconies, one with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the views. Check-in was very easy and the hostal staff is wonderful- so kind, helpful, and responsive. Thank you for everything! I hope to be back again sometime soon!

Very convenient location close to cafes and grocery stores. There are some great hikes from the hotel. The train station is only a 20-minute walk away.

Being in a room over the bar means perhaps getting to sleep around 12 midnight. Might be nice if there are other rooms free to make them available to those who want to sleep by 10pm.

The location is good, right in the middle of the village. The restaurant is pretty good and the staff were helpful. The only issue we had was that the Aircon stopped working briefly, but a member of staff was determined to fix it quickly, and did just that within ten minutes.

For the price, there's not much to dislike. We would stay again.

I had a great room with 2 balconies, bathroom was clean, bed was good. It had AC and heater. Located in a center of Cercedilla, around 10-15 min walk from train station. Staff was quite welcoming. Also there a good restaurant in the hostal. I was very happy with my stay.

location was great. confortable bed. very clean facility. stayed only 1 night hence didn't try the dinner or breakfast options but i bet it is nice too.

the noise comes from the bathroom when it is in use in the next room. it was quite loud but it was okay for us.

Excellent accommodation in room with balcony, food and drink from bar very good with regional cooking. Prices very good, personnel friendly and helpful. Hostel is in centre of Cercedilla with shops and bars nearby. Station about 20 minutes walk. Good area for walking.

It was a nice room , with a big balcony and beautiful views. The staff very helpful

It didn’t have elevator and we were on the second floor so you need to carry the buggy all the way up. Also , there is no parking nearby , there is a public parking which is free in the village, however, you can’t leave the car overnight, so in terms of parking it’s quite tricky , we arrived on a Friday night and there was lot of ambience in the village which means no parking at all.
