This place is like paradise! The only place in Bali that has BOTH sunrise and sunset! Absolutely beautiful. We spent a wonderful 10 days at Nalika and were very sad to leave. Beautiful garden, nice comfortable rooms (with own bathrooms which are open to the air, with trees inside), clean pool. Guests are treated like family and taken care of (thank you! ♡). Exceptional breakfast with amazing pancakes and fresh juices, great dinners (both indonesian and western dishes; pizza is said to be the best in Bali, and we can confirm!), drinks and the whole ambience. Massages and other service available. You can also rent a scooter and drive around! Can we go back already?

Just keep in mind there are a few stairs here and there (also to the bathroom) so no wheelchair options.

Simply an oasis of tranquility and calm on the beach. Set amongst Balinese countryside and farmland the resort is private and self contained. The owners have paid attention to every aspect of the resort, from the garden and pool area to the excellent food on a varied menu. The service and staff are first class with a special mention for Sarnie who made our stay perfect in every way. You can view both sunrise and sunset from the beach and you are surrounded by nature, fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to birdsong.

- excellent, helpful ommunication prior to arrival - very friendly, professional staff - good range of breakfast; delicious meals - direct beach access, enough deck chairs for number of guests

- categorization of room type (Deluxe vs. Standard) for us not logical: We had booked Deluxe and changed to Standard due to additional veranda and - for us- nicer sea view - minor problems were solved in an efficient and friendly way (e.g. damaged tyre of a scooter)

Nalika is in an incredible, quiet, beachfront location. The rooms were clean, with a luxurious feel and the pool was perfect for a cooling dip. The easy access to the beach was perfect, and two cleaners came through to keep the beach clean which can be an issue elsewhere in Bali. More importantly for us, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful- from the welcome to the good bye all staff were friendly and went above and beyond for exceptional service. Sorni and Ayu were our servers and were incredibly friendly and helpful, and often were mind readers making sure we had water, drinks or towels whenever needed! The food as well was top notch- Indonesian food was authentic and enjoyable, whilst western dishes were beyond the level you'd expect in Europe as well. Perfect location, wonderful hotel, amazing staff. Im already planning how to get back!

The best part of this resort is its staff. Very kind, friendly and ready to help at any time. There are a lot of things they can assist you with. You can rent a bike, hire a car, or order a massage or a tour like snorkeling or dolphin watching right at the resort The room itself was clean and quite cozy The menu at their restaurant is varied. It’s quite expensive, but each dish is worth it. I’d recommend to try their beef burger, however it’s not a local dish Swimming pool is ok

The sea wasn’t calm and clean all the time, but there was a rainy season when we were there (obviously, not the resort fault) Shampoo in the room wasn’t really good

The location of the resort is perfect, on the beach, without anything around, extremely calm and only the sound of the waves is there. We liked the « semi - open air » bathroom and the bed is great. We loved the food made by the restaurant of the resort. The resort itself is very nice as you can see on the pictures. The staff is amazing, special thanks to Sorni, Ayu, Binar and the owner who were lovely and did everything possible to make our stay really good

Maybe a mosquito net on the bathroom door and on the side panels next to the sliding windows would be a nice improvement

We LOVED every second of our stay in Nalika. We wanted the peace and quiet to relax for a few days so the location of Nalika on the beach away from the town and a 3hr drive from Ubud was ideal. Some other reviews give out about the quiet location but had they not looked it up beforehand? The hotel offered transfer, dolphin swimming, snorkelling and trekking options. The transfer from the airport was organised by Nalika at 800,000 (€45) which was great value and very comfortable and cheaper than grab. Sorni and Ayu who looked after us were phenomenal, they are the most attentive staff and were there for our every need. The room staff cleaned the room everyday and the rooms are big and comfortable. We had the best sleep here as the beds are so comfortable. The area is quiet so we ate in Nalika a lot also but the food is great. The breakfast includes tea/coffee, eggs, toast, fruit, it’s very good . A massive thank you to everyone there

Pure beachside dining and pool. We had both sunsets and sunrises over the ocean when we stayed in August. Stunning location in ‘real Bali’ with farms around the hotel. Staff were so friendly and nice to us.

Rooms not that private. There are open to the elements at front and back of the rooms. So little privacy when it comes to noise to and from other rooms and the pool area. No mosquitoes when we stayed but i do wonder how they keep them out of rooms in the wet season.

The place is beautiful. It is a great beach for swimming or enjoying the sunset. One can seamlessly go from relaxing on the beach to the swimming pool or the porch of the room. It is the perfect place to rest. The check-in process was the best I experienced in many years of travelling. The staff goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They have been very helpful with any aspect of our stay. The selection of mocktails is excellent.

Wowzers... I am not sure I have enough wonderful things to say about this resort!!! We had a very late arrival, but they remained staffed for us and even made us dinner at 930pm when we finally made it there! They gave us fresh magnolia flower leis upon our arrival and a cold drink! All the staff was very pleasant and helpful the whole stay. We especially loved Ayu! She was the absolute sweetest person we met the entire two weeks on the island! She helped us book excursions and massages at the resort and always had a smile and prompt service! Food and drinks were reasonably priced and delicious! The view of the ocean was spectacular, and the sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking and some of my favorite memories of the trip! The pool was nice sized and clean, and I liked the tanning seat ledge it had! The room was spacious and clean as well as the bathroom. I liked the resort had an outdoor bathroom that could be used as well. I loved just about everything at this resort, and I was extremely sad to leave. I travel a decent amount worldwide, and this location may hold my favorite overall experience spot! I am already trying to plan a return trip!

The air conditioner in the bathroom never worked, and the one in the room barely worked, but it did enough that we were never too uncomfortable. One day, a family came to do a day pass, I'm guessing, which was a little disappointing because we thought no kids were allowed here, but they were pretty good and weren't too loud.
