Interesting building with a cool vibe. Good location. Comfortable bed. Excellent restaurant.
Given the price of the room, the fact that we had given plenty of advance notice and the good availability of gluten-free and dairy-free foods within Beacon, it was disappointing that my dietary requirements were not fully catered for with the in-room breakfast. I had to buy my own dairy-free yogurt and gluten-free granola.

Continental breakfast was fresh and very good. hotel was unique and very clean. Enjoyed the location which was close to main street. The waterfall and stream that runs under/alongside the property was beautiful. Great location and short drive to surrounding historic towns, parks, hiking/biking, and train stations to the city.
considering the restaurant is closed tuesdays and wednesdays we were unable to utilize the lounge/bar/restaurant which looked really nice. Unable to enjoy the outdoor patio and food. No hot or full breakfast included which would be a nice addition to this property as most hotels at this price point do include some version of it.

The Roundhouse is a beautiful, historic property located next to an amazingly serene waterfall- definitely better than expected. The room was large and immaculate, decorated in a modern way that definitely payed homage to the historic roots of the building and town. Details were a plus- the room had a makeup mirror, blow dryer and a steamer. Robes were provided as a nice extra amenity. Breakfast was continental - the yogurt was creamy and delicious. The bagel was a little chewy for my liking but the orange juice and muffin more than made up for that. Location was perfect! I’d return without hesitation, to both Beacon and this hotel.

Liked the architecture of the hotel, grounds were really nice, and the decor was pleasant. Staff was extremely pleasant and hotel was spotless. All amenities you might need were provided...soaps, hair dryer, etc. Breakfast was small and left in a bag at our door but still a nice perk I guess. Was hoping for something a bit more substantial
The room was a bit expensive but I was fine with that being I was looking forward to dinner in the beautiful restaurant with a view of the waterfall. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which left me having to walk from the edge of town into town for dinner. If I knew this ahead of time, I would have booked elsewhere.

The breakfast was adequate, but didn't include gluten free items except for the yogurt. 4 yogurts for 2 days and a dessert item...I didn't want to eat that for breakfast. Also twice there weren't any utensils in order to eat the breakfast and I had to call and get them. Also being a tea drinker, more choice like an English Breakfast in stead of or in addition to Earl Grey. It would be an improvement if one could communicate food "issues" before arrival or upon arrival...I combined my comments good and could be improved
Also there was some weird creeping stuff that come out of the bottom of the tiles in the shower..it was fixed but took 2 times. And the sink had to be serviced as well as it wouldn't drain one day...

The Roundhouse is a truly unique property. The conversion of the building from industrial to hotel has been done incredibly well, providing spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished rooms.
The only slight issue for us was the restaurant being closed during our stay. Breakfast was delivered to our room and there were plenty of good bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk, so it wasn’t a problem for us, but with the restaurant overlooking a river and weir we did feel we missed something that might have been a very special experience.

This was the last stop on our trip to Cape Cod from Virginia. Great location in walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. The hotel has a gorgeous mid-century modern aesthetic and everything in the room was comfortable. The restaurant was fantastic. Beacon has amazing views of the Hudson River.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. One suggestion would be to have a gluten free offering in the bag of breakfast goodies if requested.

The room was spacious and spotless! Cozy robes and bedding and I appreciated the table/chairs in the room to sit and enjoy breakfast. Huge shower with soft water and nice soaps. Staff was very accommodating. Loved falling asleep to the sounds of the waterfall nearby. Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel!!
The breakfast was okay — yogurt was delicious, but some fresh coffee/fruit in the lobby would go a long way. I was also bummed the bagels were mini (it’s NY, everyone loves bagels, right?!). Toilet was kind of weird (huge and rectangular shaped) and didn’t flush particularly well. Custom bed frames were cool but there was a gap between the end of the bed and the frame so it wasn’t comfortable to sit on the end/edge of the bed, if you like to do that.

Liked the design, the restoration, the location and the fact that it didn’t pretend to be grand or precious.
A small flaw. We booked late through a third party so the breakfast was not quite as promised. We noted that the yogurt, juice etc. were not in the fridge as promised. In the morning we received a bag o with the yogurt and juice. I had to ask for the small baked goods. Received those but did not get the jam and cream cheese. We decided to leave it at that. This did not spoil our stay, just a small niggly thing.

Very nice place and atmosphere. Great location at the end of the main street. Easy to walk to the main street. The room was relatively new, nice and spacious. I'd recommend staying there and have brunch at the restaurant by the waterfall.
The AC was very loud and we didn't really understand the breakfast situation. Why bother with the sugary muffins and hard scones/bread? Would have liked more healthy choices or just skip it.
