This is one of the most luxurious places I've ever stayed. Our cabin (Lar 1) was at the top of the hill with a view of the lake. We enjoyed the complimentary evening fires and the private outdoor jacuzzi. It was so nice to sit out on the deck and admire the view. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a mini kitchen and plenty of seating. The bed was an absolute dream, and we slept incredibly well. Down at the dock, we were able to bathe in the sun and use the complimentary stand up paddle board. All of the food at the restaurant was delicious, and we enjoyed having breakfast included in our stay. On top of this, the staff was incredibly nice and friendly.

The wifi in our cabin stopped working, but the hotel promptly sent someone to look at it. When they were not able to fix it, they offered to have us change to a different cabin, which was very generous. In the end, we decided to use it as an opportunity to have a tech detox. There was still wifi available at the restaurant and the dock.

Such a lovely place! Nice cabins (just like in the pictures), friendly staff, room service for any meal you want to have in your room. We had the family cabin with two separate rooms and two bathrooms (which we didn’t expect). You can rent jetskis (order upfront as they bring it from somewhere else but it was there for us within 10 minutes). Don’t hesitate to go to Guatapé though to spend time in the village and on the water. It’s so worth it!

Nothing! We spent the day in Guatapé however and only returned at 6pm. It was nice and warm in the cabin then and became a lot colder at night (ideal for a good night’s rest). Can imagine however that it can be very hot during the day (no isolation and big windows) but we didn’t experience that.

The property was exactly what I had seen online- beautiful and definitely worth the money. More than that, the staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and our view was spectacular. Breakfast was delicious as well! We took advantage of the activities and that was so so fun. They offer a transportation service on a “tuk tuk” and that was very useful because uber is very sparse there since it is a small town. The tuk tuk prices were pretty comparable to what I was seeing on uber, so they weren’t taking advantage of us. The property is so beautiful, and the amenities are great. Would 100% stay there again!

There is nothing that I can think of that could be improved on, everything was perfect!!

What a great place to get away from it all. Check in at the front desk/restaurant and from that point on you don't have to leave your cabin unless you want to. Comfy bed, great views, privacy, and an all around relaxing experience. Room service is complementary, so you can have your meals delivered to your place. Loved it, and would repeat. In room massage was nice.

The chairs. I know, seems simple, but the chair options in the room were extremely uncomfortable. The in room ones were a plastic mesh with cross bar that jutted out farther than the back. The deck chairs were in a odd semi lounging position that made it hard to read from. Perhaps would have been more comfortable if I only weighed 50kg. On the same note, the robes supplied where sized for small children, not 100kg men.

WOW! This place is AMAZING! The villas are built against the mountains. Some are overlooking the lake, and others the garden. Well, I had the one overlooking the lake, and the view was breathtaking. Bu-Tee-Ful! This place was one in harmony with nature. Make sure to have WhatsApp because that is how you'll communicate with the staff in Spanish or English. Let’s talk about the services and five-star customer service. Checking in was the easiest process ever, and everyone appeared so happy working there. The staff members received us well, and our bags were taken to the villa. Be ready for some involuntary exercise. And I did say this beautiful property is on a mountain, right? However, it wasn’t bad for someone like me who barely visits a gym. The provided services are outstanding. So when the night came, someone went around to start our fire pit on our private balcony once it got dark (make sure to ask for extra wood). That would be the best time to order your meal. Food was easy to order and highly affordable. Breakfast is complimentary and delicious. The food, wow, was excellent, and the presentation was outstanding. Trust me, you will have no choice but to order in during the evening because you won’t want to have to truck up to get something to eat. I highly suggest you have your driver stop at a small grocery store to order a case of regular-size bottled water and snacks. However, the room does come well stocked with drinks and snacks if you want to spend the money. Honestly, I didn't trust the snacks because of the room temperature during the day, and I was concerned about how long they were in the room untouched. Anyways, that is my only 2% negative from a 110% rating, which is still an A+. Speaking of temperature, there is no air conditioning, but the room was very cool and comfortable at night to sleep. I was barely in the villa during the day, but I just wanted to let you know.

There is nothing negative to say. If you are a traveler, this place is fantastic compared to the comfort of what you are used to in the US, EUR, or CAN. It's a mountain, so the road is bumpy to get to the villa. Main roads are fine.

Loved the privacy, the location (although it’s pretty rough to get there and the pathway from the main building to the cabin resembled a mudslide). The staff and services were brilliant. Love the little touch of having a personal log fire lit for you each evening, the free room service of breakfast and dinner and in-cabin massages too! The cabin looked amazing and smelled very fancy which is something often overlooked by 4-5* properties. Very nice toiletries to round things off.

Felt that the size of the kitchen as a proportion of the cabin was a bit too much but that’s more of a structural thing I guess. One thing that was a bit of a let down given the price and zen like ambiance was that the bathrobes weren’t ironed/pressed and had makeup/dirt stains around the neck. Normally not a massive problem as you can’t get a fresh one for every guest but for the price and overall package this was a bit of a let down.

The Boato Hotel is very nice. The environment is so relaxing and the staff is very attentive and makes you feel at home. They react super quick to requests and are overall very helpful. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and hot water worked well. The jacuzzi was also a great addition.

It’s not that we didn’t like anything specific but we think the food could use some improvement. It’s good and the presentation is very nice but somehow it needs just something more.

The hotel is great and the view is absolutely gorgeous, with the water in front of us and our stay being surrounded by nature! The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We wanted to especially thank Gabby and Julian for their help! WhatsApp was mainly used for communication. They would light up the fire at our lodge every night. Kayaking was very fun for us and is available through the hotel booking. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi at our lodge.

The location was absolutely fantastic. If you´re looking for a quiet getaway in nature this place delivers. The view from our studio was stunning and it was so peaceful. Very comfy bed. Lovely hot tub. Great to be able to use the paddle-boards and kayaks on the lake. Really easy to get to interesting places nearby. Fire pit was a extra treat. Staff did everything they could to make sure we had everything we needed and the breakfast was good.

Nothing. If there was anything we needed, the staff got it for us really quickly.

What a fun little getaway! My view from my deck was the serene Guatapé reservoir. I was nestled in woodlands and it felt like I was in a magical universe at night when the stars came out and I soaked in my outdoor spa. We went kayaking and the staff was very accommodating setting us up. They would come on request to build a fire in the evening. Very responsive staff!

The biggest issue was closing my shades on the wall of glass to keep out the sun (no a/c) and coming back later to find them open after housekeeping. I simply asked for no service.
