Former school offered plenty of different kind of actives for free and the owner-lady was extremely kind and ready to fulfill all your wishes. Lake nearby, SUPs, a boat, grilling opportunities, great sauna, billiard etc.

The room was extremely hot while no air conditioning at the heat wave. Otherwise nothing to complain

Although the facility was not brand new, it was super clean and cozy. The staff was very nice. We were also offered some ice cream :).

WiFi was very weak and couldn't reliably be used in the room. Kitchen area wasn't accessible for guests. I'd say this place is OK if you're looking for a place to sleep, but I was planning to work from my room for a whole day. This ended up not being really pleasant because of bad/non-existent wifi and lack of access to the kitchen to make tea.

It's an old smelly school a bit like a open prison and way, way overpriced !

The WiFi was easy to use (unprotected open network). The bed was comfortable. The shower was , thankfully, quite warm.

When I came to check in the key was not in the specified location. I called the hotel. The manager informed me someone would come. Eventually, someone came and let me in. They had overbooked and there was someone in my room. The local site manager and the manager argued on the phone for a while before I was put in another room. The room was not ready, had no bed linen and was freezing cold. The entire hotel was cold (common spaces and room). It seems the cold is a common problem as there was an additional electric heater provided when I asked. The building smells bad, like it has poor ventilation. It felt like the room I was put in had not been stayed in for a while as it was so cold and the bathroom smelt aweful from the stagnant drains. The furnishings etc were old and tired (e.g. peeling paintwork etc). The place desperately needs renovating. The general cleanliness was ok. Although, there were many empty beer cans littering the common balcony and stairwell. (This probably says more about the other guests than it does about the hotel staff). If you're staying in the M building, be aware there are quite a few steps to climb to get to the door. Not easy with heavy suitcases.
