This welcoming guesthouse allows you to truly feel the spirit of Hawaii and the warmth of its hosts. The location is excellent—close to the volcano, the road to Hana, and the upper part of the island where the luxury resorts are concentrated. If you prefer a simple, modest, yet heartfelt vacation—with the option to make your own barbecue and enjoy a quiet morning in the yard with a cup of coffee and the sound of birds—this is the place for you. Everything here is simple, clean, and homey. But the most heartfelt and emotional part of Maui was meeting the host of this home, Miko. He is the best host we’ve encountered in all our travels. We still fondly remember our morning chats with him and regret being so far away now. People like him are the fireflies of our world. Thank you, Miko!

The bed is so comfortable! It’s a great relief after nr 20 hours flights! The floor and everywhere is spotlessly clean ! Inside the room there are so many sockets and USB points ! WiFi works excellent. You are surrounded by nature with wonderful Mountains view and lush trees. In the morning you can hear sound of roosters in a distance. If you return early evening, there is a jacuzzi outside with an outdoor shower. Elizabeth and Shirley are very helpful. They will show you everything you need here. Oh also if you are lucky Elizabeth might take you for a walk down the pineapple fields.

The breakfast could be easily up to a basic standard. Such as to have fresh oats, milk and toast..etc. It feels like in a hostel for this reason. Being in the middle of the nature means it is for people who have a car. Please do not intend to walk to bus stop, it’s too dangerous either side of the road and turn corners. I use Uber for my in and out, even to do shopping for breakfasts and dinner delivery.

The location is wonderful. Although it is a dorm arrangement you have private bedroom and shared bathroom, restroom , full kitchen, sitting areas and outdoor space. My room also had a fridge. The bedroom is very simply furnished but perfectly comfortable. Owners are very responsive to text questions and helpful. Makawao - nearby town is a great little historic town and the countryside is lush.

The rooms on the car park side can get a bit noisy, but it is liveable!

We enjoyed the setting, and knew ahead of time how the room and the bathroom/shower would be shared, so no surprises. We enjoyed being in the north side of the island, and could explore from there. We appreciated having a mini refrigerator in our room, and sitting outside for breakfast and watching the sun set from the garden each evening.

In general, there was no contact with the hosts, which seemed to be the way they have structured their setting. Many people arriving were confused about the lack of a check in process with no one around to greet and direct them. I was surprised that the hot tub seemed old and worn, with a sign that said to use the lift to take off the cover, and this seemed unmanageable, so we didn't try to use it.

Typical bed & breakfast with shared bathroom. We booked for the first night after our late night arrival at Kahului airport and did not have breakfast at the premise since there are a few breakfast restaurants within a few minutes car drive. Google Maps navigates easily from the airport to the B&B. Great hosts & great communication.

as expected the room was tiny for more than 2 persons. But that was clear at booking and acceptable for one night. if you want to stay longer better ask for the largest available room.

We stayed at God's Peace of Maui for about a week and I absolutely loved it! The place is located in the countryside, closer the National Park entrance. This turned out to be a fantastic location because we had to deal with no traffic whatsoever (unlike some of the other hotel locations like Kihei and Lahaina where there’s one-lane roads or constant road-work and lots of visitors). I can go on forever about the things I enjoyed about my stay – shared bathrooms/kitchen were always kept clean, room was a good size, snacks were always offered (free), kitchen is stocked with cooking gear, mini-fridge in room and large fridge in kitchen were available, outside view was gorgeous, lots of great seating outside, hot tub, outdoor, shower, etc. The owners are super friendly and kind and have a lot of amazing recommendations on places to visit. The whole vibe of the place was super relaxing. I did have to do some remote work from my laptop for a few days and the wifi worked perfectly (even outdoors). I have no dislikes for this place.

My expectation was for a clean pleasant room to go back to after a long sightseeing day. The room was clean and comfortable and the shared bathrooms and showers were really fine. I never had to wait for anyone to get out and let me in. They provided a snack breakfast to take with you. If you wanted to eat more you could make your own breakfast with some oatmeal or what was available in the community kitchen. It seemed to us that they had thought of all the needs and supplied what was needed. The grounds were very inviting and beautiful. We really enjoyed our 4 nights there.

For the price per night and the wonderful, easy, and comfortable accommodations, I really didn't find anything I didn't like.

I loved the vibes. Also hosts were very concious and helpful with fire crisis. The shower outside and the bathtub was top!

My bed was too soft. But still I had good rest! Mika was really nice recieving me my first day but it seems I never understood how the kitchen set up had to be done. Nobody told me that dishes should be dried and put back in my cupboard. I think some rules should be written down or said on the first day.

Clean room. Good shared kitchen facilities. Shared bathrooms, but I never had to wait. You could eat outside on a covered patio. Didn’t investigate the hot tub.

Be aware that it’s a small, minimal room - no wasted space, no extra furniture. If you want to keep 2 open suitcases, use the twin bed. Glad there were only 2 of us. Nothing wrong about this place, but high price for what you get.

The outdoor area was truly beautiful. we spent time as a family eating around the outdoor gas fireplace, we played some ping-pong, ladder ball, and corn hole. After we put our son to bed, my husband and I were able to take an outdoor shower, which was INCREDIBLE! Neither of us have experienced having a shower outside and it was beautiful being able to turn out the lights and look out at the stars while showering. The communal common areas were really nice, because we were able to chat with people from all over. We were only staying for one night, but I wish we had booked our stay there for longer! We definitely would like to visit God’s peace of Maui again.

The only “down-side” we had with the property was that with the communal bathroom when our 8 year old got up in the morning to use the bathroom before I or my husband were awake, the door shut behind him and he was locked out. Thankfully either someone else staying there or the owner knocked on our window to wake us up because we had not heard him knocking. This definitely could have been avoided, had we let our son know to just leave the door open when he went to the bathroom, but we will know for next time.
