The location and the general ambience of the hotel brought us back for a six night stay. The hotel in Mito is part of a building housing the train station, two malls with a supermarket and many restaurants and this time a private gym. Both the north and south entrance/exit of the train station lead to a separate bus terminal. This facilitates moving around in and out of Ibaraki. The breakfast was fine but I miss Onsen eggs or fried eggs. This time the hotel gives out a coupon for a free drink in the Italian restaurant if we opted not to have our beddings changed and that felt good.

The Onsen was a tad small.

Our 4th stay at this wonderful hotel!. As usual the staff were very professional but also friendly and between their English and our very limited Japanese we got buy. We have had a number of different rooms over the years and usually have a King Room but decided on. Superior twin this time as we were only stay a few days. Perfectly adequate size even with all of our suitcases and the bed extremely comfortable. Can’t understand why this hotel does not have a higher rating??.

Nothing to dislike

Best location. I've never seen a better breakfast in my 25 years of travel experience. DO NOT SKIP breakfast, little extra you pay for it is 101% worth it! Rooms are dated and could be cleaner -- lots of dust in the corners! This is my 3rd time staying here. And I will be using this hotel to stay in future!

Dust in most corners of the room! Slow and patchy internet. Film on window glass makes it blur and hard to see through. Rooms can benefit from some TLC.

The location is very handy for the train station and stops. Car parking at the hotel is easy to access and reasonably priced. Breakfast tries to cater for all (European, Japanese and Chinese) and on the whole succeeds. A friend successfully used the gym (the hotel will lend you trainers for this. Staff try to be helpful and are generally successful. Cleaning service very good.

The rooms are beginning to show their age a bit (dings and chips here and there, some worn out chairs). Sizes or rooms are average (that is, not generous) but two people could work side by side on the desk (better than average).

Location was excellent and the room I had was really very very good, met and exceeded my expectations. Thank you to all staff they were very friendly and very helpful.

I would only say that it would be nice to have fresh fruit for breakfast, although understand it may be difficult to get.

Most convenient location in the centre, close to the railway / bus stations. Many restaurants and shops are also in the closest vicinity of the hotel. Reasonably close to the river, lake to have a nice walk. Beatiful gardens also in the walking distance. Best room hotel service.

It is very conveniently linked to shopping malls, where you can find restaurants easily. There are also plenty of parking spaces in an indoor parking where it is linked to the Hotel. However, it cost ¥1000 per day parking fee.

The hotel is a bit worn out and needs renovation in some area. However, it is still clean and tidy for short stay.

Right next to train bus and taxis. Small yet spotless hotel. Restaurant is good. If there’s anything negative to say it’s that you have to walk past the smoking room and the odor from cigarettes is off putting. Staff are just wonderful

The breakfast was amazing, the location is right next to the station, so super convenient. The views from the room are also great, overlooking the city and the station.

The lighting in the room was a little unintuitive to figure out at first: the room and desk light are only switched on and off by a switch next to the bed. Once you know it, it's easy.

Beautiful hotel, welcoming staff, and lovely breakfast buffet. Very convenient since it is part of the train station. The bed was a little firm for my taste, but I would definitely stay here again.

Wish they had rooms to accommodate 3 or 4 adults instead of having to get 2 rooms.
