This is a stunning house which has been really tastefully converted into a fantastic hotel. It’s comfortable, interesting, inviting and relaxing, all at once. The experience is very like staying in your own (very grand) country house, with beautiful grounds and a wealth of history to explore, complete with attentive staff (especially the wonderful Diogo, who looked after us fantastically), and a brilliant chef. The food was excellent and the wines (produced on the estate) were delicious. We recommend!

Nothing to dislike.

We loved everything about this place. It's a historic building, lots of charm, but still the rooms are very clean and modern. There's a museum on site and beautiful gardens. The restaurant was also SO good! The service was impeccable and the food fantastic. If you stay for dinner you have to try the cheese and jams they make on site. The 2017 red we ordered was also one of the best wines I've ever had.

Fabulous historical hotel , comfortable clean rooms, staff friendly, good parking.

Not enough staff ! Very difficult to get any bar service, nobody about !! Nowhere to relax ie comfortable lounge area, disappointing restaurant position did not take advantage of views over garden. Garden needing a lot of work, opportunity missed, could have been beautiful. Cheese making area and museum ?? Don’t bother. Pool area very scruffy.

Everything we experienced was amazing! From the peace and serenity and the beauty of the surrounding gardens and areas. Vineyards were a great experience. Our 2 bedroom apartment was extremely comfortable, expensive furnishings, basic and very suitable. Food in the restaurant was reasonable with a great limited choice and high level tasty dishes. I would highly recommend staying here for a few days to experience the Hotel and grounds, and local vineyards. Staff were very accommodating and helped us for all our needs. Thank you

Liked everything. An electric kettle in the apartment would have been great but got by without one

Great location, immersed in the countryside. Besides the hotel in a lovely historic building, there is also a fantastic museum about the family that owned the property.

There is nothing that I would change about the hotel. I believe it will be a surplus if the recovery of lakes and property trails keep being done.

The house was very beautiful, and the restaurant was delicious.

O did not like the fact that we are in Portugal and all information is written in Spanish. I was told they use the same stationary as the hotels in Spain , but if you are in Portugal I shouldn’t be reading information in Spanish.

The ambiance of an old vintage medieval look with modern amenities of the rooms was exactly what I was looking for in our Portugal trip. The beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels were of the highest qualities. Slippers were great and the air-conditioning was superb. The cost to value was spot on and we lkved our stay and will definitely come back.

Wi-Fi was not good at all. We didn't have Wi-Fi in either room for all 3 days that we stayed. Even after complaining to the front desk about it. One other thing was the water kept shutting off during the day. I understand that this was a one time event for them and they needed to repair some pipes in the nearby village but it did hamper our ability to shower during the day. Otherwise great place.

Beautiful old historic building restored to full glory while maintaining history ,yet including all modern amenities

Spring mattrass on a rather small narrow bed Access signage along the roads could be improved

Nice historic buildings. Beautiful gardens. Good variety of places to wander and explore. Food was quite good but not extraordinary. Breakfast buffet was a good value.

Roof in need of repair. There were numerous buckets around to catch leaks when it was raining outside.

Almost everything! The grounds are incredible and their local wine is great.

The evening meal service was great, but food was only OK. Note....i don't eat seafood, so the rest of the menu could have been great. I just can't provide an opinion on it.
