We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Garni Appartments Helvetia and Villabassa. Balcony room was lovely, amazing view, newly renovated bathroom. The owner and son were both super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and fresh everyday. The town was very relaxing with an amazing 5 hectare wellness park within a couple of minutes walk. We spent a lot of time here just enjoying nice quiet spots. We also hire bikes in town from Braisrent and got a discount thanks to the owner mentioning it. The ride to Lagos Di Brais and to the view of the Tre Cime were both easy enough rides on e-bikes. We’d recommend doing both, we did them over 2 days but could be done in one if you’re fit enough! We ate dinner at the Tennis Bar by Andy two of the night we were there as it was a close walk, in the wellness park. We ate the ribs & chips bbq special on Saturday night and it was delicious and only EUR20. Overall there was plenty to do and see in this area and nice places to rest and relax, both at the accommodation and over the road in Kurpark if that’s your preference. Definitely recommend.

We found the bed a bit too firm for our liking, but that’s a personal preference. We also found the room quite warm as there was no air con or fan. During the night it was fine with windows open but during the day it was quite warm with the summer sun hitting the balcony.

I rarely leave hotel reviews, but this one deserves a highly positive recognition. My wife and I had a great experience on our stay. The place is situated on a quiet road with mountain views on a charming village and serves delicious breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and very pleasant to interact with. The hotel/guesthouse is family owned. The owner is very nice and helpful; he helped us get the regional free transit pass, which was extremely convenient and saved us money on train and bus fares during our stay. The owner kindly let us borrow a charger/outletplug to charge our cell phones since we came from a country with a different outlet plug adaptor. The owner also went out of his way to contact the restaurant where I left my sunglasses - I got my sunglasses back. My wife and I had an amazing stay at the hotel/guesthouse and had a wonderful time in Villabassa/Niederdorf and the South Tyrol region. I highly recommend this guesthouse.

Despite humid and cold air outside, room was very well heated. Breakfasts in the form of buffet (everything was fresh) with an optional cup of coffee. The personnel extremely kind and interested in your plans. Bathroom was tidy and perfectly clean. Separate place for drying skis and skiboots. Cosy appartment perfectly located in rural area of Niederdorf/Villabassa. The room with maps and receptionists allowed us to plan our cross-country skiing routes. In the last day we could admire calm and beautiful winter scenery through panoramic windows from the breakfast room. The room well and conveniently furnished. The photos on Web page correspond with current state of the room and bathroom. Very close to the restaurant, Niederdorf centre and ski rental point.

The room was beautiful, made entirely of wood. the view from windows are amazing no matter the side. The staff was helpful, friendly, and nice.

This isn't a critique of the hotel, but keep in mind that most shops and restaurants close early in this town. However, the staff recommended some good places to eat that were open after 7 p.m.

Room size, and location. Great view from the balcony. If you want a quiet and well located place, this is the one.

The heater wasnt working well, luckily it wasn't that cold. And the bed is bit noise

Absolutely beautiful location and very central to many of the hikes/lakes. The rooms are mostly modern, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were particularly kind, and were very attentive to any queries/requests. The rooms were cleaned daily. Excellent stay.

I liked the view of the mountains from the balcony, the economy room was clean and cosy. I actually really liked the retro style, it reminded me of my aunt’s place 😊. The staff is also very nice. Good connection to public transport.

Located in a beautiful small town. Really accessible and a lot of outdoors activities close by. The room and the building are really well design and clean. Staff is also really nice and helpful if you have some questions or looking for recommendations. I just love my stay over there. I highly recommend.

Wonderful staff, very helpful with everything including helping us get oil for our rental car on a Saturday morning. Bed was super comfy, great mattress. Easy walk to dinner places, delicious breakfast each morning.

Beautiful views from the balcony. Villabassa is a quaint town with scenic hikes and is a good location to take transit to other towns and hikes like, Dobbiaco/Toblach, Lake Braies and Tre Cime. The room seemed recently renovated and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not too many resturant options in walking distance available in mid-June.
