Staying in a beautiful Renaissance-era villa has its own special charm. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the large common area looked like a castle hall. The highlight, however, was the stunning view of Urbino, proudly sitting on the nearby hill – best enjoyed in the evening while relaxing in the outdoor hot tub or in the morning over a generous breakfast. Urbino is about 2 km away, but easily reachable by bike or on foot. Our host Alessandra was very kind and gave us some great tips for exploring the area by bike. Although we stayed only two days, we managed to see quite a bit of the surroundings – and Urbino itself is simply beautiful. We’re already looking forward to coming back someday.

Delicious breakfast in the garden with beautiful view across the valley to Urbino. Very peaceful at night. Elegantly decorated rooms upstairs, including a shared dining room with tea, coffee and wine. Ale is a friendly host who speaks English. We parked our car free of charge just outside the house.

We knew we had booked a room with separate private bathroom, but this was not close to our bedroom. However, our room was large. The hot water in the shower was erratic. We found the bed frame too springy.

Alexandra is an amazing host! Very friendly, very helpful! House is located across the old city( 5 min to drive), but for us, it was an advantage: a quiet, rural atmosphere, beautiful views on the ancient city, and no problem with parking! Breakfast is setting up in a beautifully decorated dining room. Cleanness everywhere! It was pleasant  to feel  care and respect  about guests from the host. Many nice details you will find in this place. So, we are so happy that we  chose  this bb !

Location is wonderful, best view point of the city to enjoy the classical beauty of the Urbino. The host Alessandra is the best, her smile, her special attention on all guests had made our stay memorable. Wonderful breakfast option and garden spot. Highly recommended!

The old house is wonderfully characterful and in a superb peaceful location looking across to the old city. Alessandra and her mother serve superb breakfasts in the garden while you look at the view and listen to the birdsong. Urbino is one of the most atmospheric of Italy's old towns, and I found Ca'Lavalle an excellent base for a week exploring the country and sights of the Marche. Alessandra was unfailingly warm, friendly and helpful. It was very hard to leave...

Alessandra and her mother were super accomodating and welcoming. Perfect communication always with a smile. Amazing breakfast. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Great weekend stay. Close enough to get to Urbino historical centre walking.

Alessandra and her family gave us a really warm welcome. They have a stunning old house overlooking the countryside outside Urbino, a fascinating and beautiful medieval town. We had a delicious breakfast in the garden.

A very good place to stay for a few days in a beautiful landscape and close to a cultural town with art treasures. The old house and its friendly owner create a sound base for sightseeing.

We could not have asked for a lovelier place to stay in Urbino! Alessandro and family are wonderful and the room and home were amazing to stay in. So much history and so many kindnesses. The breakfast looking out on the view of Urbino was incredible! The walk into Urbino is fine—honestly, so much better than wrangling parking.
