The lagoon deck is just perfect! Well maintained, and in a good spot in the lagoon. It is also quite nice that they respected the surrounding jungle, it makes it a quite nice walk when moving around the hotel. The food at the restaurant is quite good, not too many options, but the food is very, very good. The staff was super polite!!

We were expecting a 2 bed room. It had one bed, a good one, and the other one was a sliding bed that hid under the other one. I would have been ok if they had warn us. It is one of those not nice surprises when you walk into the room. They also need to catch up with the maintenance. There were rust all over the place. The mirror in the bathroom had a lot of "dead spots". The soap/shampoo dispenser had an immense amount of something that I hope it was just regular rust.

I loved the view from our room. We had the lagoon view and I think it was the best view in the entire place. I also really liked the availability of bikes and kayaks as a first come first serve. We were lucky enough to use both. Its also pet friendly, so brought our dog who loved the environment. We also had our toddlers with us. It wasn't the most toddler friendly but as long as you keep an eye on them you will be fine. Plent of space for them to run around especially by the restaurant + water is shallow enough for them to get in and see the fish. The person who handles the whatsapp messaging is so nice and responsive. We had late night requests and they were able to accommodate with no issues.

I just wish there was a coffee shop or coffee maker in the room. Having to wait for restaurant to open at 8am was a challenge as the location is a bit far from town and not close to any shops to get coffee.

The location and surroundings were peaceful and absolutely stunning. I could look out at the lagoon all day long and we spent many hours at the dock. Loved being able to use the kayaks, lagoon swings, lounge chairs and SUP's. The bar near the lagoon was perfect and service fantastic. Love how the hotel and buildings were built into the natural surroundings. We had all we needed in our spacious rooms, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed. The restaurant was exceptional with breakfast, lunch and dinner, and we happily had several meals here. The kids particularly enjoyed having taco day sampling and comparing each one. Service was superb and the staff were kind, polite and prompt. Would happily stay here again!

The Wi-Fi was spotty, but adequate. There were a couple of power outages lasting less than 30 minutes. Since we chose this place to get away and relax, it wasn't a problem.

The property was great! MBH is about 5km away from the center of bacalar, which makes it perfect if you're looking for something quiet and private. The property is quite large and even has biking trails to ride one, kayaks, and paddle boards for free. Bar has really good drinks, food is great,i and I would highly recommend having a day out on the dock and trying their Potatoes and wings. Private pools are also heated, which is great, wonderful views of the lagoon from the balconies and stunning sunrises, reception staff was really great as well as the bar and restaurant staff. Bacalar taxi service is also very responsive to get you to town in the area the hotel is located. Highly recommend and will be back.

The staff was kind and helpful. The food was really good!

I expected the plunge pool to be heated, we actually opted for that room so we could use the pool with our daughter (1yo). But the water was too cold and we did not want to put her in it. In the end we didn't make use of the pool even though we paid extra for it, quite a waste. Come to find out you have to pay even more to have a heated pool.

The room was big and the AC was good, nice bed. There was a private access to the lagoon and kayaks and saps we could use.

The location is a little far from the city so we had to take a taxi every time. The room had a very strong and strange smell of mold I think because of the humidity. Also the property is a little outdated in the rooms and in the lagoon area, could use a fixing and coloring the deck. Also the kitchen in the room is not very practical. There is sink and stove but not equipment you can actually use to cook. The restaurant is okay, a little expensive for quite average food. There is nothing else near the hotel so its either to eat in the restaurant at the hotel or take a taxi to the city center.

The hotel is beautiful, the views are stunning, perfect to relax and feel the peace of the nature, I love the colors of the lake, i enjoyed hours seating on the deck just admiring the beauty of the lake, and we have a lot fun with the kayaks and paddle boards, bikes, I will recommended 10000% people that work here are extremely kind and professional, room service always on time.

Amazing infrastructure and location on the lagoon. Food was very good. They gave us sunscreen !

No coffee machine /supplies in the room and empty mini-fridge. Breakfast not included. Curtains are really hard to close. Room decor was different than advertised (mostly color of the decor). Didn’t have low fat or regular milk my last day- really fundamental for coffee, and menu is lacking in healthy, filling options as salads are too small to be a meal In itself and most other dishes are more on the junk food/ heavy meal side

We had a kitchenete in our room, but.... nothing is provided. Unable to use it. Breakfast is not included. You can order in the restaurant and pay extra. Since the hotel price is on upscale level- I would prefer not to be charged extra. But after Mexico trip I see it to be common practice.

Really lovely setting with int the jungle & lagoon. Use of the kayaks and paddle boats and the netting beds over the lagoon are super lovely. Make sure to go down to watch sunrise!

The restaurant I thought was by the water but is a little more out of the way. Is suitable for a quick breakfast but not for lounging all day.
