Very beautiful place with an amazing view and a great orchard garden in the middle of Berat old town! A really lovely and family run guesthouse, just under the castle, in walking distance to everything you want to see. Hanging out and having a nice breakfast under a blooming orange tree was just blissful and so relaxing. And sharing the garden with few sweet turtles was really a joy, especially for my teenage daughter;) The rooms have the the most amazing view. Everyone was really helpful, and I was especially thankful for the help with the parking at the steep hill. Would love to come again one day with the rest of my family!

Location is perfect, in the UNESCO protected area of Berat, surrounded by other similar houses. It is on the side of the hill, accessible only on foot for the last 50m or so but it is worth it. The covered terrace (also the breakfast place) offers beautiful views of the city and surrounding mountains. We had both dinner and breakfast in this place, they supply a lot of the fruits and vegetables (and rather good wine) from their own farm.

It was a bit too much for one person to cook for everyone, there was some waiting. No coffee or tea at breakfast, we had to ask for it.

The property is located in the heart of Berat, offering a stunning view of the city and the majestic Tomorr mountain — it truly feels like a perfect picture when you wake up. The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, with all the amenities we could need. The garden was full of fresh fruits and flowers, adding to the charm. Breakfast was all homemade, served on a terrace with panoramic views of the entire city. We also had dinner there, and the food was exceptionally fresh and delicious. I highly recommend trying their homemade jam, lamb meat, "qofte," and their homemade wine — all are perfect companions to the meal. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the lovely couple who owns the property for their warm hospitality and everything they provided. I can’t wait to return!

All aspects of this property were above expectations. Everything: Location: excellent, close to any point of interest. Villa: new and with all facilities. The services were excellent, a very well run family business. Excellent breakfast served on a terrace with a very nice view. Very well maintained garden with multiple relaxation areas and where walk freely a few turtle.

A fantastic place to stay. It has a gorgeous garden which was a shady oasis to rest in, especially given the heat. There were tortoises roaming about the garden - how can you better that? The breakfast was huge. Such an amazing array of food. Plenty of hot water for showers and big fluffy bath towels that were very soft. The staff were so friendly. They helped us order a taxi when we left and even rang the taxi to check it had picked us up. Air con in the rooms. Stunning views from the breakfast terrace. We can completely recommend Villa Elmar.

The location was great - just inside the city walls, in close walking distance to everything an not too high up in the mountain. Delicious breakfast what a great view on the balcony. Beds very comfortable. Communication with the property good and stuff very helpful. We left our thigs at the hotel after check out to have a little walk without our lugagge.

Some of the rooms quite small. Couple of rooms where 1 towel short (3 people room with only 2 towles). Had to wait for hot water in the showers. Parkin a car close is bit problematic but we found a free parking lot about 700m along the river and it was not a long walk.

The greatest location in the heart of the old town, a few minutes from all the city attractions, a few minutes walk to the bus station which takes you to the main terminal. Beautiful garden, big room, comfortable bed and an amazing view of the landscapes around from the window. Nice staff and nice breakfast on the terrace. Fair price and a good value.

The shower in my room was very inconvenient. Too small and no separation between the toilet and shower at all.

A wonderful spot with beautiful garden and fabulous views, up a couple of cobbled streets at the lower end of the old town. Great breakfast on a terrace or under fruit trees in the garden. Very comfortable and pleasantly arranged, with friendly non English-speaking staff. We had a very pleasant room with an amazing outlook. We'd totally recommend. We joined a free (i.e. pay what you think) three-hour walking tour, which began close to Villa Elmar and which we'd also recommend

We could have brought less luggage as it was quite steeply uphill on rough stone surfaces and steps from the nearest free street parking. Beware the one-way system that's not clear on Google maps!

- Genuinely kind and friendly host, the two ladies were smiling and willing to help, they welcomed us nicely and offered us some water/juice while they finished preparing the room, since we arrived a little bit earlier than what we had planned. - They spoke Italian so communication was not an issue - The location is perfect in the old town (just have to climb a bit), there is a nice garden and a beautiful terrace with a breath-taking view on the city. - Room was spacious and clean, old-fashioned in a good way - Breakfast was tasty

Staying at Elmar Villa made our visit to the Mangalem Quarter even more special, as the villa is located right in the heart of this historic area—one of the places I was most excited to explore in Albania. The experience was made even better by the warm hospitality of the owners, who were incredibly kind and welcoming. A truly memorable stay.
