The room was clean and a good value for the money. The staff thoughly mop the laminate floors between stays and even cleaned our floor during our stay because we tracked in sand. The location was close to the water with entrances from two streets near a traffic light so it was easy to travel either direction on the strip. I appreciated that the laundry facilities were available 24/7. The desk staff allowed us to choose to stay on the main floor at check in which made it easy to walk our pet. The hotel is extremely pet friendly.

The only thing that made the stay slightly disappointing is that the images of the furniture in the room didn't match those on the website. The image showed an L shaped couch, but there was only a loveseat. I would have preferred to have the extra seating as we stayed for a week. The area available to walk dogs is behind a privacy fence where semis park and homeless sometimes rest. That was uncomfortable, so we tended to use the area nearer the lighted street to walk the dog at night.

The staff was really nice, the hotel is very clean even though they allow pets, wouldn't even know there are pets there. The breakfast was always good. Not that far to get to the beach which was a plus. The only thing I would have to say is that maybe they could have the pool heated so people can enjoy better. This was our second time staying there and we would 100% stay again. Thanks again for the wonderful stay both times.

The pool was a little to cold maybe think about getting it heated. We stayed there twice once in mid April and then the beginning April and the kids wouldn't get in the pool bc it was too cold.

It’s very convenient to the beach and all the places we like to go!

The only thing is I felt the pool needed more upkeep and the bed was not as comfy as I expected other than that it was great :-)

We had a fantastic experience at La Quinta by Wyndham Fort Walton Beach. The facilities are in excellent condition, everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. There was plenty of parking available, the pool was great, and both check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of hot and cold options — one of the highlights. They also welcomed our dog, which made everything even better.

Honestly, we have nothing negative to say. It was a perfect stay, and we truly recommend this hotel!

The location is great and within all things fun, cleanliness was spot on, and the breakfast was great!

On Monday 8/7 we left for the day and upon returning found that my sons airpods were missing after knowing specifically what picket they were in on his bag. We looked all over and checked with staff no on had seen them. So we checked once more knowing where we put them that morning and still nothing. We had to leave Thursday and still no sign of them.

We liked EVERYTHING about this hotel. From the moment we walked in the staff was nice, the lobby was clean. We reserved a King room and that is exactly what we got. We walked in to our room and the freshest, cleanest smell hit us immediately. It was so nice to walk in to a hotel room that smelled and was so clean. Actually, my wife commented to me, "Do you smell how clean it smells in here?"

The only thing I can think of that wasn't perfect at this hotel was one of the elevators was broken but it didn't affect us at all and it wasn't their fault. Nobody can help when something breaks. There was still no long wait times for the elevator, even with the one being down.

The staff was extremely friendly, and the location is in a good spot. On one side of the hotel, you could look out the windows and see the bay. The breakfast was good but limited. There was sausage and eggs to make biscuits with and waffles. Also had bread based items and juices as well as coffee and cereal. So overall, decent.

We booked on booking.com and were giving a total that included tax and other fees. We were able to pay at the hotel upon arriving, which was great. The only issue was that the receipt had the price we were quoted, but our card was charged an additional $43.00. There was no explanation, and when we questioned it, we were told that they didn't know why either.

Arrival and check in was my worst experience. I did arrive early and was able to go ahead and check in but The staff member that was there to check me in was absolutely RUDE. She was talking to someone through her earbuds and when needing my id and card to pay with she looked at me and said “ID” with an attitude then again when asking for card for payment she demanded for card with attitude. We traveled 5.5 hours to stay there and I feel I was treated with a rude attitude. All other staff after that night was exceptionally great and nice. We lost something while there and asked the guy at the front desk if it had been turned in and was told no but he went as far as looking at cameras to see if he could see if it was maybe dropped along the way somewhere while we we there.

The rooms were clean and well maintenance. The staff was very accommodating. I was amazed at how fast the staff worked together to get things you needed. After staying 5 days the staff treated us like friends. Couldn't have asked for any better service. If I come back I would definitely stay again. The location had many restaurants and stores to shop.

The only thing that bothered me a little was the breakfast. I would have liked to see more variety. They had the same thing every morning. It wasn't a game changer though.

My New Favorite in Fort Walton Beach! What an amazing stay! The hotel was immaculate the second I stepped inside, it had a wonderfully fresh and fragrant smell. The guest services team was awesome, and housekeeping did a phenomenal job. My room was spotless, without a single issue, and I had an incredible view of the water. The pool was clean and sparkling daily, which was a huge plus. Absolutely no complaints, and this will without a doubt be my top choice for future trips to Fort Walton Beach!
