The warm and friendly nature of the owner and staff made this an exceptionally pleasurable trip. The homemade cooking is fantastic and very reasonably priced - we ate here every night and are looking forward to going back in October where hopefully it will be warmer and we can enjoy eating in the very quiet and peaceful outdoor seating area. The hotel is well placed for the old town and its a very quiet area so you need to decide on either the quite and authentic Catalan/Spanish experience or being closer to the beach and all that is associated with that.

The staff were SO helpful! My flight was delayed and then the SatNav in the hire car just sent me round in circles, so I finally arrived at 1am and the man on reception (manager?) actually walked out onto the main street to direct me back to the little road where the hotel is located!! Even though I don't speak any Spanish, staff were very nice and helpful. In the morning they directed me to local shops, providing a little paper map of the area. The room was really clean, the bedding was fresh and the bed comfortable. There was plenty of space and the ensuite had a lovely big shower, with hair and body wash provided. Towels were also provided. The croissant and baguette for breakfast were huge!

There were only two disappointments - the grounds are tiny and there isn't actually any outside space to sit in, which is not really what the photos make it look like. I only stayed overnight, so this was fine, but if I was staying longer I would be disappointed by this. It's more of a base to explore from than somewhere you stay in to sit around and relax. The bedroom window just looked directly at the neighbouring property. Although the breakfast was tasty, the only choice was whether you wanted cheese and/or ham with your bread. As someone who is not supposed to be eating bread my choice was either to upset my stomach or not eat because there was no fruit/yoghurt/cereal/hot food on offer.

An excellent stay. We had been the victims of a robbery on the motorway and were shown amazing kindness by all of the family running the hotel - secure garage offered and help given putting plastic to replace the smashed window. A great price, excellent hotel, excellent food at a great price. Will definitely be back.

Nice family hotel . The owners were very helpful; they even tried to help sort out our faulty hire car!. The breakfast was very traditional Spanish breakfast of very fresh bread, enormous croissants and cheese and ham and perfect cafe con leche coffee. The price was very reasonable and we would not hesitate to stay there again. It is near the motorway and easy to find and the very pretty beach in Altafulla is worth seeing. They now serve dinner in the evening and although we did not eat , if it was the same quality as the breakfast it would be very good and price was very reasonable.

the bar was open after haven driven from Bilbao. The staff was excellent and helpful in telling us how to get back to the main road. we had a meal in the restaurant and were pleased with the food. apleasant night

your site does not give a GOOD DISCRIPTION OF LOCATION This hotel is located far from the main road and unless you know it can be difficult to find

For the price this hotel was excellent and included a nice continental breakfast. They also have a restaurant so you can take your evening meal there too.

The location is out of town,at the top of the hill. We knew this before we arrived and weighed up the cost of the hotel and location against other hotels and for the cost we decided the walk back each evening was worth it to save some money.

The location was good, a nice area and an easy walk to everything. Parking facilities. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything very clean and bed was comfortable. Dinner and breakfast good. A good place for a short stay and will definitely return.

The decor is quite old fashioned and only one socket in the room. Noisy extraction fan in the bathroom but nothing to spoil your stay.

The hotel has a restaurant which we appreciated, the food and service were excellent. Parking was free which for Spain is a plus. We were so impressed we are staying two nights on our return journey through northern Spain.

We really liked our stay here in Hotel Oreneta!! People are very friendly!!!!! Parking is good, there are quiet street near by! Once we thought it's going to rain, so we asked the staff for garage, and they provided us. It's a family run, will definitely come back.

Nothing jing bad to mention

The pleasant outdoor eating area for breakfast and evening meals. Friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to provide good service. Very good breakfast and good quality, well cooked food available from the restaurant. The hotel is in a quiet location on the edge of an urbanisation.

The hotel is located a little way from the railway station and old town and beach so some walking is necessary if you don't have a car.
