They were contactable even though we were late on times due to our bus not coming for over an hour but they were there for us when we arrived outside the hours we said....the room was quiet and had everything just perfect, spare toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, wonderful shower best I've had in a long time, connection to WiFi excellent, charging for phone at bedhead, clear instructions how to access rooms, luggage storage and also trust, the place once inside was comfortable with lounge and coffee, like a home away from home well done and such loveky people too...I hope you have the best of success as you deserve it.

Hostel 977 was in the perfect location in the old part of the city. We could easily walk to so many interesting sites, activities, and restaurants. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and cozy with air conditioning that worked very well. The hosts were so helpful in providing us with information about the hostel and special events going on around town during our stay.

For me, Hostel 977 was perfect. But, if you were traveling with younger children you may prefer someplace with a pool and more activity.

Hostal 977 is located in the Old Town seconds from the Cathedral, What a beautiful building! as was the room. although the room was not large it was perfectly adequate, We arrived outside reception hours, but it did not matter as the owner gave ample instructions, on Whats App on how to get there, and the code to get in. :) There is a lovely Lounge where you can relax and have coffee, or other drink. The Bed was very comfortable, with amazing Decoration, & Lighting.

The wall to the room next door was in need of some sound insulation, as we could hear some talking, although not excessively loud, I would have thought this an easy fix. but certainly would not stop us from staying again.

This is named “Hostel” but don’t let this put you off thinking it’s an actual travellers hostel. There’s 5 rooms, well decorated, good sizes for a short break, clean and comfy, Location is perfect, down a side road in the old town so it’s quiet at night. The hosts were fab as they send you super easy check in instructions and with a map to get to the apartment- only because Google maps takes you to the wrong location. Also very secure which is a bonus. Downstairs it has sofas and dining table which is kitted out for the chill out zone to drink and relax. The parking is a 5 min walk away and only €6 for 24hrs. Also has multiple charging points so you can charge phones etc using just the cable and use the adaptor for something else.

Struggling to think of anything we didn’t like. If we had to be picky, the bedroom sizes aren’t that big but only because the beds are super big! But there’s hanging and storage space for luggage so it was fine for our short stay.

We didn't have breakfast at the Hostal, because we saw many places in the area for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In fact, we ate at some great restaurants, recommended by friends. But we found the hostal very charming. The location was perfect for a brief visit to Tarragona: we were in the heart of the historic area. And we found the city to be delightful, lively, and friendly. The medieval buildings and Roman ruins were stunning.

What could have been better was due to our negligence. We arrived on a Sunday and were in the city all day Monday. But on both days, most of the sights were closed to tourists. For a more in-depth visit, we should have arrived any dy Tuesday through Saturday.

Quirky renovated property with the perfect central location. Immaculate room, comfy beds with pristine white sheets, towels,toothbrush & toiletries The owner goes above & beyond providing links to car parking 5.95 euro 24hrs a short stroll away. Complimentary morning coffee & bun . The option to purchase beer , wine & cold drinks , extra hot drinks & a honesty box for payment . It’s a hidden gem designed with passion. The cathedral 2 mins away go up the steps & find the restaurant Barcello serving great tapas & drinks with the perfect Cathedral view . Or stroll down the street to the bustling square for drinks . We had great Venezuelan food at The Cube. Just wished we had stayed longer & would highly recommend.

Can be noisy in the night but located in the middle of a city so take ear plugs . Still rated 10 as everything else so perfect

This Hostal is in a characterful building and offers a very nice lounge area and coffee & tea making facilities. The room we booked had private facilities (a small but functional bathroom space) but overall was a comfortable size. The location with the walls of the old city was fabulous but also close to the ‘new’ town and plenty of choice for eating and coffee within walking distance. The historical sites are all nearby. Fabulous tourist information from the hosts.

Fantastic little hostel right in the centre of the old town part of Tarragona. We arrived out of hours on a Sunday afternoon, check in instructions were excellent and very easy, as our host, Albert, contacted us prior to arrival and was easy to reach (via WhatsApp). The building is lovely, very nicely decorated and extremely clean. There is a communal lounge / reception area with lots of facilities including hot and cold drinks, beers, wines etc, with an honesty box for payment - which is a wonderful reflection on the owners and guests. Our room was made up and cleaned each day. Albert is in attendance at the hostel most of the day on weekdays and is a great source of information, and speaks excellent English. The hostel is right in the middle of a lovely and lively old part of Tarragona. We only stayed two nights at the end of a long tour, but would recommend 3 or 4 at least. Tarragona is quite a big city, and is very attractive with lots to see and do, and also has a lovely beach about 25 minutes walk from the hostel - the beach was so nice we spent more time than we expected there and missed out on a few of the city sights.

The ease of reception and the contact by the host are second to none! Fully explained entry and after hours entry..... Room was extremely well furnished with amenities and products. Comfy bedding and coffee available by machine in reception. Albert, the host is outstanding!

Loved everything! Nothing to dislike in our opinion.

Very nice hotel right in the middle of the historic center of Tarragona. There are just a few rooms and there is a lobby also with a fridge and some drinks and a coffee machine. Everyone was extremely nice and friendly and we got perfect informations what to see and do in Tarragona. The man at the reception really took a lot of time explaining everything to us. Also a self check in is possible if you arrive outside their working hours, that's really great! The room was very clean and nice, had a hairdryer and a small window. It was cleaned every day. There is also a little table and one chair and a closet with some hangers. Even some snacks and coffee were provided at the room! All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to Tarragona as also the city is amazing!
