Casa Virgilios is a special place that invites guests in and encourages them to relax The staff is very friendly and the Casa layout provides comfortable gathering spots which naturally lead to the development of friendships among the guests. Casa Virgilios is located in a beautiful quiet setting in a secure neighborhood. The inside is decorated mexican style with beautiful tile floors and wall accents, colorful seating and assorted books on the shelves. Of course it also has a big screen tv for events like the super bowl. The outside setting maximizes the Puerto Vallarta jungle vibe. We all tended to go to breakfast at the same time and often talked about beaches and dinners we had had in the area, among other things. The property is just finishing renovations, so it was fun to watch the final installation of the turtle Pond – which is very attractive. Many of us also enjoyed the pool and (not very hot) hot tub. All in all it was a wonderful experience.

Well, it’s not right on the beach, but from the reviews I saw places that were right on the beach were very noisy late into the night.

Breakfast was wonderful. The staff is amazing. So friendly and helpful. The pool was cool and relaxing, especially after long walks through town or on the beach.

There were some internet problems. But I know they were actively working on improving them while I was there. My room was near the kitchen, which made things a little loud at times. But they are also working on fixing that issue as well. Decisions were made and shared with me while I was staying there. One thing to get used to is having coffee later in the morning. There is no hurry to wake up in Mexico, and I, of course, am an early riser. I wish there were perhaps a personal coffee maker in the rooms.

Charming accommodation with great staff. The pool area is a lovely tranquil oasis. We loved the Mexican decor. It was comfortable and welcoming with a very nice common area. The air conditioner was great and made the temperature in the room very comfortable for sleeping at night.

Towels and bedding weren't changed over our 10 day stay. There was no additional toilet paper, soap and shampoo brought to our room. Probably our ignorance and we should have asked. Additionally the bed was very hard and there was very little in the kitchenette.

I liked the pool and hot tub (not hot), the privacy of a villa, the room was big and had a kitchen which I didn’t expect. The breakfast was fantastic and of plenty with hot food plus fruits every day.

If you don’t have a phone plan, the front door is locked and there’s no way to reach anyone. There’s a doorbell up high but no sign so I didn’t even see it, and was pounding on the door for over half an hour. The guests told me a bunch of things that the owners didn’t, like that I could use the kitchen, how to use the hot tub, that their are alligators out the back yard and there no fence, that’s there’s extra sun screen and things if I need. I don’t understand why the owner didn’t tell me anything including the wifi, you need to give guests all of the information.

Better than a resort. It feels like a combination of a resort and a beautiful Mexican hacienda home. There aren’t too many rooms so you don’t feel like you’re in a huge hotel or resort. You wake up to a delicious breakfast prepared Mexican style and if you feel like being social you can chat with other lovely families while enjoying you’re breakfast by the pool. Property is super well maintained and rooms are super clean and spacious. That’s place really has everything you need. A Pool, jacuzzi, bbq area, pond with turtles, and it’s pet friendly!! You can also walk to local restaurants or the plaza just a couple blocks away where you’ll find a pharmacy, day care and even Pilates classes. There’s also a beach that the locals walk to that is not full of tourists. Love that this place is situated in a very nice and safe neighborhood The owner really has done an amazing job with this B&B and we’re so glad we found it!

that there are crocodiles nearby ! lol not the owners fault

Virgilio was a very charming and interesting host. Everyone of the kitchen and cleaning staff were wonderful people. Very helpful and a pleasure to be around. The property was small and that is the type of trip I was looking for this vacation. Did not want the noise of the all inclusive hotel pool. It felt like your own property when not everyone had checked in yet. Very relaxing and we enjoyed the coffee, fruit and breakfast each morning. We felt very safe and the location was perfect for walking to restaurants in the neighborhood.

We don't really have any negatives to complain about.

Th property is old style charming with much thought given to small details. Plenty of inviting rooms and nooks in which to sit and relax. The room we slept in was very clean and comfortable with everything we might need. The water pressure in the shower was awesome - quite the massage. And the grounds outside were beautiful and tranquil with gorgeous tall trees and a wide variety of other plants surrounding the pool and hot tub. The covered deck surrounding the house along the back and the many thatched umbrellas above tables at the back of the property gave guests many options of where to sit and socialize or to find a quiet spot for solitude.

I was traveling alone and it was within walking distance to several good restaurants and small shops. I found it quiet and felt safe the whole time. The breakfast was good and the pool area was very relaxing. The staff were very nice and helpful.

I wish it was closer to a beach. I thought they were within walking distance.

The rooms are large and have a nice kitchenette, comfortable king size bed and great shower. The backyard is beautiful with tons of plants, trees and flowers and a lovely pool. Walkable to restaurants, wine store, pharmacy and OXXO (7-11 type store) Breakfast was amazing- certainly didn’t need lunch, so def cost savings there.

Mosquitoes, but we went in July, rainy season so it would have been the same at any other location (and mosquitoes love me)

I was way overcharged with the booking I went thru. Certainly was not what my confirmation from them sent and I hold. The bathroom made me dizzy with the strange tile work and uneven plugs, lol. But true. I got a mediocre room at big cost for 2 nights. Ripped
