It was all very relaxed and even though there were a lot of guests it was mostly very quiet. The breakfasts were superb.

Our room was overlooking the side garden and some evenings they were giving padel lessons, which one evening went on till after dark with the floodlights , and it was too noisy to sit on our balcony and we could even hear it in our room. We are both over 70 and don't want to go out all the time but just relax and play cards on the balcony which we were unable to do on a couple of occassions .

The hotel is quiet despite its location in the city. It has a beautiful, well-preserved garden. The area is wide, so there is a lot of private space outdoors. The cleanliness in the hotel is outstanding. The cleaning personnel clean rooms every day. There were very friendly and polite staff at the reception and bar. There are very flat floors everywhere, so the hotel is perfect for persons with mobility issues.

The prices for breakfast and dinner are a bit too high.

Pool area and park were well equipped to relax and swim - pool even serviced by life guard. Great beach (public with life guards) accessible without crossing motor traffic. Breakfast perfect with fresh fruit and a hot dish served at the table. Small terrace with sea view included in the room containing tables and chairs. Gym well equipped. Free private parking partially covered by roof.

I never looked for a sauna and spa facilities this time with the sea so close by. If not there that is the only improvement I could dream of - plus a door and stairway in the far end of the fourth compartment

The room was a little dated but very clean, quiet and comfortable. It was so nice having a balcony off our room with a view of a park and the ocean. The meals were very good and food came quickly once it was ordered. Staff was helpful and friendly and spoke English.

The room was musty smelling at times. If the patio door was open, or the air conditioner turned on, the musty smell wasn't as bad. Sometimes we had to wait for service in the dining room because staff was busy. Perhaps a little short staffed because the staff was really running.

A very nice good quality hotel right on the sea front. Our room was very quiet with a wonderful sea view. Large balcony and the beds were very comfy. The pool and gardens were clean. All in all a great hotel with free parking.

A purpose built hotel with spacious layout and nice rooms, each with a substantial balcony. Very well set out grounds - featuring tropical looking trees. Everything was in good working order in the room, bathroom and generally. Both the room and all public areas were bright, well decorated and 100% clean. Nice breakfast - regarding both range and quality. Located a matter of a few metres on reasonable surface from the sea and a pleasant little beach area. For the train to Valencia (and ultimately Cadiz) or Barcelona one has to walk about 30 minutes through the town to the Benicarlo-Peniscola station. Good choices of services every day at a reasonable price. The station was more substantial than we had imagined it would be and it had a very nice cafe. It’s a pleasant 4 mile walk along the promenade to the surprisingly impressive Peniscola Castle. Lots of places to eat in the area, even in late October. Good and pretty secure and on site (outdoor) car parking - and the access lanes plus spaces were, for once, of a sensible size! The staff were all professional and friendly. Yes, there are cheaper hotels but for the quality and reliability this seemed to offer very reasonable value.

No negatives - just keep in mind that it is a modern era hotel designed for function and comfort rather than being something historical.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel was very relaxing, the staff were cheerful and welcoming The location near the beach and the harbour was great, and the gardens were wonderful. We didnt use the pool, but looked very tempting.

Easy check in, lovely location, great room and restaurant. Great to have a cafe open all day for a snack/ drink. Staff really helpful on check due to torrential rain and carried out brollies to help us. Fantastic breakfast choice.

Location on the beachfront is unbeatable. Old school flavour to the buildings, out of season good value, super pleasant spacious grounds.

breakfast is pretty expensive and not super healthy, can just get better options in the supermarket over the road and balcony it

it was our second time there - excellent location, rooms, staff, parking and breakfast! EXTREMELY clean, including the public areas - continuous cleaning activity was ongoing throughout our two different (3 days in total) stays.

The only negative was that for our second stay the wifi was poor - this may have reflected the particular (ground floor) room, as it had been excellent during our previous (first floor room) stay.
